Most players in fallensword have very little HP. Because of this, it is very easy to 1 hit kill other players and makes armor/defense the only thing that matters. Fights should not be 1 hit kills, they should be prolonged making buffs and enchantments play a role. Every time a player levels up, they should be given 50 or so HP, making fights more interesting and giving a use to HP buffs.

if a player wants to defend from incoming attacks then there is several buffs that add HP. while i agree HP is a valid weapon of defending it is not HCS responsibilty....Also chances are if you're 1 hitting them they are A. in inproper gear B. in a suicide or defense set(defense+hp is pretty useless unless properly applied). A proper armor set would contain HP but would also would take more than 1 hit.
if you want battles to go more than 1 hit then try testing setups or yourself. try hitting with no or limited buffs.....I make all my gold hits with only gloat/reckoning(usually....sometimes i'll cast my own buffs on myself)....gives my targets a fighting chance at least with activation of enhancements and 2%

i myself didn't follow the "put all level-up points into damage" advice, and i don't regret any of the points i put elsewhere, including hit points

I have a good share of my level up points in HP, which is more appropriate when I'm using Armor set up and it's a choice I made and I have enough damage with buffs and potions that whether I'm using a defensive set up or leveling, I'm fine. I think it's probably a 15-85% if I were to break it down, maybe a bit higher in benefit to the HPs.
So make your decisions as Dom and Duk say to how YOU allocate your level up points. Keep it interesting ![]()

I split my level up points evenly between Attack and Damage.

Sounds like you should visit the Arena.
