Item Name Great Yvew Artifact Item Type Amulet
Quantity 1 Equipped No
DMG n/a AC n/a
Bonus Attributes
ATK +460, DEF +625, HP -95, MP +800, AC +500, AP +500
Bonus Skills
[none] You must be level 72000+
Magic Resistances [none]

Isint that a bit rediculous 72k lvl restriction, no one is high enough to use that. I dont know about the rest of us but i worked pretty hard and spent alot of ap to get the stuff to make it and i am only 38k and yet i cant use it and probably never will be that big. Now 40k or even 50k would be more reasonable lvl restriction i think, that way people that are small might actually have a chance of getting to the required lvl. Post what you think here please i would like to know other peoples thoughts.

EDIT: we need more creatures with stats like these that are permanent creatures that way there is a bit more challenge when hunting. particularly the yvew titan and the yvew marauder.

i like the ap boost on the ammy, however i can get 500 ap with 250 lvl ups.

i had my fingers crossed that this invasion would bring out a new shield, or at least some items with some rare skills on it.

i did dig the stats on the high lvl yvew creatures though.

Raider/Yvew invasion gets a B- grade from me.

I'll post this link in the shoutbox for some more feedback.

Nothing wrong with a 72K restricted item dropped during an invasion per se, but the following should be kept in mind-

1. If the restriction is higher than everyone extant, then you would want to see something juicy enough to make us want to level to use it. As it is, it joins the trophy and Nomadian shield as useless rewards at 50K and above. If boots ever came out, I'd expect to see a 60K quest for slippers, with a bunch of AP and nothing else on them. Relax, pops, nothing left to play for.

2. The stats or skills should also be such that we could believe we might still want to equip the item at the restricted level. It will take ages for many of us to get to 72K, and if something happens like what happened to the mantamulet (ie a better ammy came out maybe a week later), then who'll want to bother with the thing?

3. If something is to be offered in an invasion that only a handfull of people may want, then it should be as a rare drop or an alternative to something that most can use. There should have been a lesser artifact that many could have used, say made from one of each of the coloured drops (so the warriors had half a chance), and then have a rare drop of an essence by the titans that would make a more powerful item that a few might see an eventual use for.

All that being said, I still don't feel that the level on this item should be changed. I don't like seeing quest rewards changed (unless something is too powerfully imbalanced), and that goes trebly for items that only a few might have after the invasion is over. In the interest of full disclosure, I have maybe three sets.

I have other comments, but I'll save them for the quest review thread. Don't get too worked up about this item, just write 'er off, and wait for the next time (or 'til you get to 72K  ).

The amulet was not a quest item it was a mixture from invasion drops, its not bound, the realm is 15k restricted, and myself and others around my lvl worked hard to get the parts to something we might never be able to use. Now if it was a quest item fine lvl restrict it that high, that is what quests are for but an invasion item that is from a critter that someone 20k can kill should not have a 72k restrict when only about 10 people are within arms reach of it. 40-50k restriction would have been fine and more reasonable. Most wont even try to lvl to 72k its not worth it just to use an amulet that has a few stat bonuses. By the time we get to that lvl those few stat bonuses wont matter.

Everyones entitled to their bitch about the invasion. *shrugs* It's cool gives some of us hope that better may come along. If nothing its a nice little trophy piece that we can all say 'Yep I partook of the invasion in May of 2009'

Bitch and whine all ya want about it.

HCS thank you for thinking of us and carrying out the three day invasion.

There are people in other games made by HCS who feel Gothador should be dropped. And here you sit giving them the ammo they are searching for. *bows* Thanks Vaprak

hmm maybe instead of worrying about level restrict u could level for a change instead of lurking and pvping everyone. Darn that might be to clever of an idea for u though.
i personally didnt like that the second day of invasion realm turned into a pvp realm but oh well part of the invasion setup no biggy. As for the items look forward to getting big enough to use them even if they are junk by time i get there in a few years.
i want to thank everyone at hunted cow's studio that worked putting invasion together. We really appreciate the hard work involved in this process. i hope we have another one soon.

Another one is already in the works. :) However, the next will likely take place over the week instead of over the weekend. For now however I will be focusing on developing content for the level gap 30k - 60k.

Yeah, thanks for the hard work Iago. You gave up your weekend and did a lot of work to give us this invasion, which was appreciated. Ok, so it wasn't up to the standards of your last one, but you're only a calf!

PS - at least I have something to work for now!

What if you had fruitloops WITH chocolate milk...That would be too much of a good thing...or a wormhole or something.

I once requested fruitloops with chocolate milk at a little place on Rigel VII while on shore leave. Spock said it was illogical, I should be having Cheerios with chocolate milk, but then, what the Hell do Vulcans know about breakfast cereal?

Incidentally, there was a wormhole effect, and I woke up in the morning next to an Andorian. Funny thing about Andorians, you often can't tell male from female while clothed, as they lack a certain trait that most other Humanoid mammalian races possess. Which can have embarrassing and occasionally fatal results.

That should be on a T-shirt.

By the way, Iago, I rather enjoyed the invasion. Didn't get any drops myself, but I actually did get a few levels and some coin, had some fun. Looking forward to the next one. :D
