im in a dead guild with only me and another part time player is it truly fare for me to keep being a target for gvg against players i cant even hit thought you needed 4 active players to do gvg guess not very tiring to be a weekly target to the same guilds almost too much constantly repairing and buying buffs for what??

Seems to me that you either need to grow your guild, or leave it and go to a better one.   ;)

Not everyone wants to be a member of a large guild.

Really tough call, but its what happens. Other than leaving your guild or kicking people, you will just have to get more players to help defend when you can't. Part of the downside to gvg, YOU may not always be able to attack back. And you may not have the activity, time or stamina of your guildies to do it and tie the conflict for you. So try to get some players in there to help and to grow, cause i know you would like to see your guild grow.

Didn't say that. Penny suggested the OP grow his guild, and I was just stating that not everyone wants to be in a large guild.

Aside from that, I thought a guild had to have 4 members active within a week in order to have a GvG initiated on them. The OP's guild has only 3.

What about a better Guild then, surely they would want to be in a better Guild?

4 players in a guild is all that's required for them to be a GvG target, even if 3 are inactive. Say, lets neuter GvG further and change that rule. I mean we need to protect Guilds....right? All these " new " Guilds are leaving the game, we can't retain " new " Guilds, having them leave is just not good for the game.

Cheers.

    Ahhhhh!  The GvG debate arises!

Yep, it's real frustrating to be an a guild with limited targets.  You feel like you have bulls eye on your back.  But of course new members to the guild might not solve it.as the new members would have to be able to hit others in their range in the attacking guild.  I've watched while the under level 100's in my guild got pounded, and all I could do was try to give a few defensive buffs. to maybe make it a bit harder.  There wasn't a soul in the attacking guild that I could hit...that was active, that is. When there was however, I would get buffed up (this was before the buff market, we haven't gotten attacked since then) and hit back even if I had just one target. It was time consuming, but I could usually pull off a draw, which made it financially unprofitable for the other guild.  This takes a lot of time, and a bunch of gold, but it CAN be done, especially now that there is the buff market.  It also takes a bunch of stamina to gvg single swordly.  Again though, it is doable.   And it brings in points to the guild too.

Until/if the GvG rules are changed, this is about the best you can do.

Speaking of changes, has anyone seen Grim around?

Time and again I see players start a new guild and get stuck there and then they quit the game because they don't have the support and infrastructure.

I respect that you take pride in what you started and want to remain and maybe I'm reading too much into it, but you're not able to be active much and perhaps don't feel you can be as active as needed at another guild.

Your options:

1) Drop all the inactives till you only have 3 players in the guild.
2) If the inactives are holding gear -- untag and sell that gear for the price you can get (market is always dropping - but better to get something than nothing, or if nothing else frag the items if you're working on composing or sell the items to a composing player.
3) Assess your activity level and see about moving to another guild, but you probably still need to accomplish #2 to make the move.  You may find that you are active enough for many guilds -- just be up front with things and these days I don't think any guilds are putting high expectations on their players.

4) Another option all together -- go naked - you'll have no gear to repair.

Unfortunately it's not activity that determines if a guild can be hit, but instead the # of bodies in it whether they're warm or not, so you 've got to work around that.

Good luck to you!

Having the same problem. The attacks typically start when i am offline, so i can not even buff the remaining guild members. Gets tiresome.
Should be with a minimum of 4 active (active within 7 days) players.
