My reactions to these suggested skills:
Trapping( lay traps for your target ) -- http://forums.hunted...showtopic=65713
Maybe, this sounds like an interesting idea. However I don't see how combat skills could work as a profession.
Perhaps trap making? (like leatherworking?) So planks, string, etc. to make a trap. And maybe getting weeds as the ingredient (so it works like a foraging parallel),
Slayer( clean the environment of so many mobs)
Honestly I don't think this one is a profession. Perhaps a scroll skill or a talent? Warriors are supposed to do this as a part of their class.
Assassination( killing a specific target)
This is a part of an assassin's "skill" already so to speak. I don't see how this itself would be its own skill.
Enchantment( adding magical upgrades to weapons)
This is interesting (like gem embedding). If Gem embedding became a part of the potential "ENchantment" profession, I think that would be pretty cool. Of course, other enchantments should also be able to be added (perhaps with elemental flake and other ingredients?)
Patching( repairing your gear for cheaper prices for you or your mates)
This is a great point. However, I think that prices isn't the answer.
Instead, I think that players should be able to use ingredients (AKA copper bars for heavy armor, fine leather for Medium armor, and special hard to get ingredients to repair unique items-- or maybe just gold for these.) Anyway, doing so will help create a sense of player independence and have another skill to work on well. A higher "patching" level is needed to repair stronger armor.
Upgrading(this add a more beautifull name cant remember)( adding magical upgrades to armor)
(Seems like it can be lumped with an Enchantment profession.)
Gemming( the one i dont agree with) ( making gemming more easy using less mats to fusion and adding few more stats with better skill)
Seems like it can be lumped with the Enchantment profession again.
Mounting ( making possible to mount mobs ) - http://forums.hunted...showtopic=62928
YES PLEASE. Let's get this done. I'm actually okay with making all mobs unmountable, and mounts only being able to be recieved with hard dungeons or bosses. It doesn't have to be a skill.
BUT WE NEED MOUNTS IN THE GAME! (hopefully horses, and hopefully mounts that let us travel faster.)
Thanks for reading.
