I'm a ranger who's thinking about getting the assassin talent skill "Dual-Wield Mastery" for an increase in ranged damage. When it says "while dual wielding," does that mean I have to have a two-handed melee weapon equipped on me? Or will my ranged damage increase by 9% with 3 points even without melee weapons? I'd prefer answers from assassins or rangers who have tried getting that skill to increase damage, but thanks ahead of time to all answers submitted. ![]()

Dual wielding is defined as equipping one weapon in each hand, which means equipping 2x one-handed weapons. You can only equip 1x two-handed weapon, so it doesn't count as dual wielding. Equipping 1x one-handed weapon and a shield does not count as dual wielding either.
For rangers, they usually use knives that give ranged bonuses. Assassins would use other weapons that give melee bonuses.
