Dark Forest (42, 47)
Once again you wander a familiar path when you are again surprised by the mysterious appearance of a large hotel. In fact, it appears to be the same one you came across before. This time, however, there is a slightly run-down feel to the place. The gilding on the sign is chipped and tarnished, the eaves appear to be drooping, and paint is starting to peel in a few places, as well.
[Enter]
After the last encounter you are hesitant to approach the desk, but there seems to be an invisible force drawing you forward, none-the-less. The person behind the counter could be the previous woman’s mother: still attractive, but with a few wrinkles and grey hairs. Her smile is warm enough and she greets you familiarly. “Ah, welcome back. We so did enjoy having you here on your last visit. Would you like the same room, it’s available? I’ll even give it to you for 12500gp, a repeat customer discount.”
[Yes, please]
Again, without really knowing why, you take the key and approach the room. The same sense of weariness comes over you as before, but this time there is a taint of dread tickling the back of your mind. The room swims into view just before everything goes black.

(Realm: Nightmare - 50x50, darkness)
Start location:
(?,?)Again you rise out of a mist to be surrounded by a gloomy darkness that affords you little visibility. This time it seems somehow worse, as the darkness is near complete, and there is no sound at all, not even your own footsteps.

(?,?) You feel a shift in the texture of the ground here, as if what you assume is soil has been churned up.

You shift through the broken ground without being able to see what you are doing, acting on feel alone. Before long you extract a long, heavy cylinder which seems to sparkle, even in the darkness. Hopefully this will prove helpful.
Quest Item: Bitter Canister

(?,?) You find a chest-high stand with a sharp metal spike protruding from it. There is also a void where a circular object could go.

The sudden, sharp aroma that surrounds you causes you to flinch, and once again you find yourself face down in a mud puddle, cold from a night outside, and feeling worse than you did before.
