I've figured out this 'solution' for some of things I saw players asking about.

First things first, the buff:

Stamina Booster (Epic):
Level - 1400 (?)
Stamina cost: 20
Duration: 300-400 minutes (?).
+ 1 stamina gain increase for each 25 points applied on the skill. (Only work if you are wearing 9 Epics)

-

Now, explaining my reasons to suggest that:

1 - Some players talked about having more stamina gain, and that will give us 7 stamina gain at level 175.

2 - Lack of activity in game. With that buff a lot more players will return to buff up again, or some friend will be on to buff you. What will make the game a lot more active.

3 - That will increase the demand/price of Epics a LOT, what will bring Titan Hunt back on the old days, and will make farming TKP a lot more desirable.

4 - Since we don't have much Epic Armors on the game, Steamwork Cuirass will be usefull again, what will revive some SE Hunting and Inventing too.

5 - HCS can create a row of (Epic) buffs, like x% of chance to activate Fist Fight while defending a PvP attack, even without Fist Fight buff active. (9 Epics only), X% of chance to lose 0 XP on a PvP loss (9 Epics only), X% of chance of lose 0 Gold on PvP, things like that, we can think about it.

-

Bad side:

1 - With that people will be wearing 9 Epics more than never, what can make some impact against Ladder players and PvPers, since they will lose 7 stamina gain/hour if they stay at PvP gear, don't know exactly what impact that can make exactly.

2 - With Levellers winning +7 stamina gain and PvPers don't, can create a gap with the time, don't know how much, don't know if that even matter.

-

Give me your thoughts, lets talk about it.

Spend 20 stamina to receive up to 7 stamina per hour, if you are wearing 9 Epics.
Proposed duration of 300 minutes.
300 minutes = 5 hours
5 hours * 7 stamina per hour = 35 stamina gained total during the duration.
35 stamina gained (gross) from buff - 20 stamina (cost) for buff = 15 stamina gained (net) over 5 hours

This means the player would receive a net of 3 stamina per hour during the duration, if they self-cast.
And let's remember that the proposal is that this only works if the player is wearing 9 Epics.

Obviously, it will be pointed out that it will further widen the gap between those who can afford (or whose guild can afford) to have a full set of Epics equipped 24/7, and those who can't. I'm sure others will expand on that, so I won't.

However, another important thing to note is that if this buff can be cast on other players (not just self-buff), we basically have a mini "stamina transfer" buff, which has been vetoed by HCS every time it has been suggested.

Rather than a castable buff  I'd rather see it as a  "loyalty potion" if this was ever to come to fruition. The loyalty potions are tweaked every now and again...most recently with global booster. The doubler1200 and light foot1250 loyalty potions are 2 of the best in the game. I'd be OK with another one =)

I voted no, nothing personal but the idea of stamina transfer has always been a no touchy touchy subject with the cows and tends to get them in  frenzy like a red rag to a bull

I voted no also. I think that if HCS wants to increase stam gain they should do it through the Upgrades. That would bring them more money possibly. BUT, I doubt they will do that as this has been brought up more than once iirc.

I actually really like BLOODY's idea of a loyalties stam gain pot.  i see it as a win/win because you need to obtain the loyalties reward tokens by donating to the game or logging in.  both of which are great for the game.  so you buy the fsp, get tokens...use the FSP to up current stam and/or drink the pot for what ever amount it would be for...(hell, drink a few.)..using either GOLD or the tokens in upgrade/loyalty .....  IDK, but it did intrigue me that there could be options for those that want stam gain.....im not one of those....but i would use a pot if there was one....just saying.

Ok, I agree that is not a flawless idea, there is some weak points on my theory =P

But I believe we need to think something on that line to implement the activity on the game.

Increasing activity in the game would definitely be good, but I think this has more to do with attracting and keeping new players that letting old players play more. Needing 9 epics will rule out almost all newish players, whereas we older players have already shown that we will stick with this game at these stamina-growth levels.

As a throw-away (and therefore probably stupid) suggestion, I wonder whether there would be more mileage in introducing a new, bound, stamina stream that can only be used for helping other players (buffing, joining groups, perhaps only for non-guild members, or perhaps only for players up to a certain level, ...).

I really don't know what the market for buffs is these days, and whether this would disrupt the economy to much (which might be bad), but it would increase a sense of community, and might well increase the prevalence existing players actively seeking to find and help out new players. It seems to me that that sense of community is what got many people hooked in the past.
