Three PvP Adjustments Needed BEFORE Steam Release

Guys, I want this game to succeed.  I just started doing PvP recently because I switched my build, so my impressions are that of a new player.  Many Steamers will be interested in PvP.  While this game attracts many who care little for PvP, its ultimate success may well hinge on solid PvP.  And no, I will not talk about skills, balance, or anything related that is subjective.

 

I'm not posting this thread in suggestions because they are not suggestions, they are necessities to having a competent video game.

 

Drateol's Pit:  I mentioned this in another post yesterday or the day before.  It may be too difficult to change camera angles in a short amount of time.  If camera angles cannot be fixed with respect to this map, this map MUST be removed.  With how zoom in works, who the hell thought of a PvP map with high walls everywhere.  When I come out of my spawn this is my view:

If I then turn to look foward, I get a massive zoom in because I'm next to a wall.  Considering the other team can camp spawn (see below) I'm not exiting my zone in any sort of position to engage in combat.  I absolutely refuse to play this map, but because you can't pick what you play, this may require others playing it first or somehow people dropping and the map changing.  Either way, it makes you guys look extremely sloppy for allowing this in PvP.

 

Also, this is by far the worst map for spawn camping.  It is so small.  Just because you might enter on one side or the other does not prevent this.
 

Spawn Camping:  This has got to be improved.  When players respawn they need a few seconds to cast buffs, drink pots, and adjust the camera angle.  They can't be thrown directly into combat.  If the other team is stronger and is killing you as you spawn, it makes you want to quit.  At least let the weaker team get their feet under them after dying (and regroup to form a team rather than allow individuals to get picked off as they spawn).  There are different ways to deal with spawn camping but this game does very little to combat it.

 

Targeting:  Why, after I die, am I still targeted on the same person I was when I died?  There needs to be a reset after death so I'm not targeted on anybody.  I can't even count how many times I try to cast my buffs after respawning and it says "Target out of range" because I'm still locked on an enemy.  This makes no sense.  Its an easy fix.

 

Edit Bonus Addition:  Make a way to see kills/assists/deaths after flag and domination games.  This doesn't appear to currently be possible, but if it is I apologize.

Uuugh, agreed, the camera angles make it so hard to maneuver there.  I hate pvp, and that makes me hate it even more.  But anyways... :D
