Personally you shouldn't get dominance if you maintain the starting PvP rating..
Take out XP loss for the ladder right now and you'll see a boost in participation.. My band won't get any new players because of the smashing that does occur when someone new jumps on.. Ill get new competitors that ask why im attacking for such little pvp rating (they are probably sad about the XP loss).. Sorry but why would I use 10 stamina hits if I can use 100. If I'm going to get any rating, I'm gonna try to take the most to help continue my dominance...
But let me just say a lot of the complaining new comers are players sitting in epics or just not using the combat and buff system properly.. Hate hourly attacks? Get Deflect.. And that's just one useful buff out of the many, many others that could help you out..
So some simple fixes that could help add some fun to the ladder..
Reward tokens/dominance for activity.. If I don't win some outgoing attacks, I shouldn't be rewarded tokens no matter what place I landed at the reset.. Dominance should only be rewarded if you go above the starting PvP rating of 1000
Get rid of XP loss on the ladder.. Would be a great place to try out the removal of XP loss.
