people always wanting making everything easy, they not care about consequence to the game, only care about their profit

 

why someone saying want hunt faster with help from buffs, pots, lesser tkp and making epic prices lose value faster I do not understand because is not good idea and if everyone thinking a little he will see it too

There is a flip side to this thing of making titans easier to dispose of - not necessarily secure, but dispose of, so that the chance for another to spawn is enabled ....

 

If the number of titan spawns increase as a result, then, by default, more items will appear in game and thus, the value will decrease further.

 

This has 2 benefits - 1 definate, 1 probable / hopeful.

 

1. More players will actually be able to afford epics.

 

2. If the profit margin drops, then maybe, just maybe, the magic hunters will cease participation ...

That's a big maybe. Since stamina is free making titan drops however low in value free money, I see no reason there as to why they would stop. Stopping would simply put a stop to their revenue stream.

If you can earn more for your stamina from hunting than you would from hunting titans with a lesser value drop, then I suspect they'd be more interested in ensuring their revenue stream remained as high as possible, rather than maintain an activity that was no longer as lucrative ...

That could kill titan hunting as we know it. Don't most hunt Titans for profit? I know I do.

That's what the flip side comment was about ;)

Ideally, as we all know, removing (as in not warning, not suspending but terminating) the magic hunters would be an enormous step in the right direction to restoring titan hunting.

That, and making it a level playing field (so that those with lesser connections could compete with those who have T1 connections) would be perfect ...

I'd love to see what we are calling "magic" hunters removed, and would love to see HCS's opinion on the question. 

 

I'd love to also see Titan hunting on clean-ups a little faster. Maybe the idea to that would be once a titan is "secured" by a guild, and hasn't been killed in XX time, the titan spawns have more kills per movement (2x maybe) with the elimination of the cooldown, or lower the cooldown period. I think this would help speed up the "clean-ups".  Maybe this would be a bad idea, but something I wouldn't mind seeing done. It gets frustrating either 1) waiting for a secured titan to die, or 2) cleaning up half of a titan taking 3-4 hours of time for 50% increase.

 

I thought of other ideas like possible bonuses to 2nd/3rd/4th/5th place in terms of increased TKP returned (but that would create a lot more titan items in the market) or maybe a bonus set amount of TKP (ie an extra 250-500 TKP additional once titan is killed after it has been secured - the set amount would be randomly picked from a number of set items).

as I said in my post above (bold & underline), once epic prices drop to a point, people will stop hunting because there will be hardly / no profit to make !!! what then? introduce other buffs / pots to make titan hunting even faster????

 

I believe to make titan hunting popular would be to:

make titan hunting a level-playing field for everybody in terms of movement speed and attack speed

and definitely NOT making titan hunting faster with buffs / pots !!! faster titan hunting => get a group (+1 member)

I know many players who stopped titan hunting because of those "magic" hunters and I still do not understand why they are allowed to still remain doing so

 

hoofmaster / zorg / radneto / biggrim please have a look at these very good suggestions to increase titan hunting activity and get rid of "magic" hunters !!!

can we please get an answer from HCS?

players have been posting very good ideas how to make titan hunting popular and get rid of magic hunters

The one thing that stands out from this thread is a lot more people would take part in titan hunting if it was equal for all.

 

Given that just about every other thread has HCS Staff comment and this does not Suggests nothing is going to change and the magic hunters can keep writing blank cheques for all the fsp and more that they will ever need.

 

It is Unfair to blame support staff for this as they are flat out  as it is,change needs to be directed and resourced from senior HCS management to clean the mess up that is titan hunting.

Just because the cow gods aren't saying anything doesn't mean they aren't observing, or that they aren't discussing.  Titans are important, granted, but there are a lot of important things on their plates right now.  We all want the magic hunters gone, or at least stopped in their tracks.  The cow gods know this and I am confident that they are not ignoring such an important aspect of the game.  So don't worry, we must just be patient.  I'm sure they'll address this soonest. :)

Not stopped in their tracks - GONE - they've been allowed to prosper for far too long, knowing full well  that they are in breach of the rules. PERMANENT bans for anyone proven to be scripting - give us back as much of a level playing field as possible ..

Just a little remark,
if it is really so that when a certain Titan is secured that most of the time the person/people who has/have secured the titan stops/stop his/their hunt, why is it so hard to give those hunters some extra incentive/reward to keep on killing that titan?

 

* The different titan kill medals are not that great as there are no bonuses given getting those medals.

* Is it possible to give them not only the epic item, but in addition also the TKP reward divided by let us say a factor 2 or 3 (minus the total kills that are necessary to secure the Titan of course) with the condition that the titan has not been solo secured, but has been dealt with at least 3 guild members (and also with the condition that every participating guild member reaches a certain number of kills)?

* Maybe there could be a reward like the pvp prestige, but then the titan prestige for when you have been killing of a titan when it has already been secured, it could give you certain benefits while hunting titans or just for hunting monsters. What kind of benefits? Well, it could be anything, for example :

 

(1) activate a high level of light foot buff that only works on the map where a titan is active

(2) a new titan summon shield imp that first kicks in when you get killed by a titan and after it kicked in you have to rely on the normal summon shield imp buff to deal with the titan (so yes, a titan summon shield imp that only wears off in time, not in the amount of times the titan killed you - pretty neat idea, don't you think ;-) )

(3) ...

 

* Concerning the amount of time it takes to hunt titans and the possibility of cheaters involved in this aspect of the game

 

I can only bring forth this little idea :

 

Just spawn a titan in the area divided in 2 or 3 parts. I don't think that a cheating player can be at 2 or 3 places at the same time. But for this to work, the number of times those 2 or 3 parts have to be killed will have to be higher than 10, otherwise the effect will be useless, but I am not for sure, as I have no idea how those 'scripts' work... .

What if titans were to drop different kinds of frag stashes or rare potions? Not overpowered ones but potions maybe like:

 

Adept Learner 250

Conserve 275

Animal Magnetism 300

Smashing Hammer 250

Coord Attack/Defense 250

Flinch 250

Terrorize 250

Last Ditch 250

Fury 400

 

etc.

 

Make the drop rates very very low so they aren't flooded into the game. I think this would push people towards killing more titans (especially after they've been secured). Just a vague idea, obviously it would need more detail.

we would hope..but after 4 1/2 years and still seeing magic hunters being able to move to every square on the map in an instant, players complaining about this for years..nothing done....players bragging about 1200-1600 kills per hour, nothing done....when i see the most i could ever get in an hour by myself alone with the titan in a small titan area, like kraken..is only 700-900 kills per hour...so 1600 pr hr..is a sure scripter.... and still nothing has been done to stop them..ban them and put thier guild on a super titan cooldown, 1 month or more  on all titans....guilds know, who in thier guilds are using scripts......i am not hopeful anything will happen..anything that has been a problem for over 4 years and still nothing done, worries me about being fixed..easy way top fix..- ban all scripts in the game..all of them...fsh included

Things have been done though, there has been introduction of "Titan code detection" or so we have been lead to believe. Reading through the posts the consensus is clear....if script IS being used by players to gain an advantage over non script users during Titan hunting then those that are using it should be found and their accounts terminated. Only one script to my knowledge is accepted by HCS and that is FSH, no other is to be used, it's is expressly forbidden.

 

I have a sneaking suspicion as to why script use may be allowed but that is for another discussion. For now all I will say is this, HCS please look at the bigger picture with regard to script use. Especially its use in Titan hunting. How many players have left FS because of its use? How many have complained, gotten no satisfaction, and left? How many guilds have failed because "script" is out there? We, as a whole, are trying to make the game grow again and problems, such as this, are hugely detrimental to the process in my opinion.

 

How many would return to FS if they knew "Titan script" had been abolished and those that used it removed from the game? Purely speculative questions but I think they are worth asking.

Whats surprise me the ones who call these magic hunters are actully one of them in my view...

I will talk about my experience of titan hunting with my connection 1mbps 220ms since the titans released from the most of titan hunters who quit or still i can see anyone who i met as a magic hunter as long as i couldn't beat them to any titan spawn while they might or might not be using script...

 

What i want to know from HCs is it possible to make script on new world map works similar to titan stride, light walk..etc ?

if its possible why not implement it so everyone can use it...

seriously why cant we move without relying on connection speed?

 

The suggestion from Maj about showing players icons on map when the titan visible on map can be a great solution ! but wont stop the super connection players from winning

 

why not speed up the movement speed to be the same for all players no matter what connection we are using
