One of my characters is nearly level 20 so I checked to see which skill was available at 25 and saw that it costs 100 gold. Can someone please explain how someone is supposed to have 100g at level 25? And I mean without using a credit card to buy gold from the cash shop. (that's a horrible thing to have in your game btw)

Don't die,do quests at the resurrection shrine so you don't have to pay a fee to remove it.Solo/groupdungeons for cash, if you have a faceroll class (Ranger or warrior) AoE grinding works wonders when getting money, etc.

seems impossible and I think I didn't get that skill right away but you can make do with the skilsl you have as well as non passive skills you can get from talent tree.  I can only speak for ranger since I haven't level'd up another class yet but a mage who's 16 atm.    I solo'd gc a lot to make funds, at that time they did have more drops but you still can make funds npcing stuff, just gonna make maybe 9-11g per run now, or something like that.

you can grind mobs and whatever they drop npc, if your skiling start npcing mats from that. it'll add up and if your careful your repair bills wont be to bad yet.

quests give rewards though I know not huge amounts but save save and if you can sell some mats to other buyers like bars, coal, copper or something that may help you some.

I felt same way. how am I ever going to buy those.  when it comes to later on,  but for prophet 45 skill dont bother with the 1k gold skills.  from what I was told they really aren't worth it.  I know ranger one I only got the 40 and I didn't get that right away because I needed 500g so waited till I could buy it and then still have funds left.   though by the your 40's you should be making some nice gold from quests, dungeons etc.

I barely have sold to other players since I joined game, not very pro at it and since I used most mats I got for dailies, skills some lving of profs I never really had the time to farm mats just to make like bars to sell or mine tons so all my gold was from questing, doing story modes, reward bags from other things that may give us some gold bag randomly like PL box (just example).  I never bought gold from shop.

but that said, yah I feel like they are so expensive but with some effort it's doable.

ps, sorry for typos and what not, it's freezing here and my hands are super icey cold, but not editing it lol. sure you get the idea :P

Slow but steady wins the race or something like that.

I'm just taking it slow, not sure about the steady.

You've most likely not been doing dungeons in a group yet. Get a group, and do dungeons. Doing odhar scar, or even GC can get your 100g pretty quickly.

There's also gathering, as Bliss eluded to.  Coal and ore sell well (coal about 3g/100, more if from TA).  Cloth from farming and leather from skinning also sell.

If you're willing to take a risk, do TA quests or join PvP.  Valor can be used to purchase glimmering gems which sell very well (make sure to price check before selecting which gem to get).

Meleager, ranger

Tuor, templar (Inactive)

Deimos, mage

Thangbrand, warsin (Mostly on vacation)

Bart, ??? (bene trades)

oof! grinding is gonna be fun later on, eh? .. time to start farming that gold/EP.. leveling 3 characters now because of the respec cooldown so might as well level up all their skills to profit later on too.. dungeon grinding is gonna be needed for that..

is there a list compiled for all the skills you get free with quest?

How do you grind 300 fusion powder?

fp drops randomly from mobs and loot from dungeon mobs ( in that case, group members are supposed to always greed, not need for fp (considered a no-no to need that, lil tip for new players as everyone uses this regardless of lvl and fp is something across the board players should never need when running a dungeon with others.)

...think some mobs drop more then others but cant' say for sure, also may depend on lvl of mobs.

If everyone should not need.. Why doesnt everyone just need for it then? Would stop players from clicking need at the last minute..

The point of this topic was that skills should have prices that make sense for their level.

I agree.
