Hi all,

The following Creatures have been spotted in the Scavenging Caves.

Bahmou (Legendary)
168662d6de34755ecab4db6285c5886c079f.jpg

Bahmou is a creature from the ancient past. Stories tell of how a great warrior defeated the beast and left it for dead. Over the ages a forest grew over his resting place and somehow begun to change and regenerate the monster. Now Bahmou has awoken from his death, a creature more plant than animal. It is said he guards the forests of the world like dog guards its master.

Recommended Level : 300+

Recommended Gold : 21,000+

Balaur (Legendary)
14237f39437d912fb6793f18fe951c694442.jpg

Balaur is a giant reptile with three heads that constantly exhale a poisonous gas that can kill a man with but one lung-full. Balaur was until recently the captive pet of Warlord Kung on the forbidden island of Rozm until he escaped in an orgy of bloodshed and noxious gas. Having since left the island, Balaur is continuing his destruction against innocents and must be stopped...

Recommended Level : 550+

Recommended Gold : 23,000+

Vishaga the Vengeful (Legendary)
1592ef28578605ee44c494cbd34381dee280.jpg

Vishaga the Vengeful was once a being of peace and virtue. Yet another unfortunate Creature twisted and subverted by the fell Shadow Lord. Now she roams the Realms, murdering all who stand before her.

Will you stop her destructive rampage?

Recommended Level : 780+

Recommended Gold : 29,000+

Gargantuan Phoenix (Legendary)
2276270a775de9df7b98c3e13b0bd55c5af5.jpg

The Gargantuan Phoenix is usually a rarely seen Beast, preferring to stay away from Mortals. Recently, unknown, though presumably dark, forces have been forcing the great birds out of their lairs. At this injustice, the Phoenix have decided to lay waste to all mortals for their arrogance.

Recommended Level : 1230+

Recommended Gold : 37,000+

The Watch Your Back Brew and Flask of Death Potions have been spied as well!

The Creatures and potions shall be available until 12:00 server time on Monday the 1st of December.

Enjoy!

~ The Fallen Sword team.

Thanks for the event!

Where's the Potion of Canny Gatherer tho....?  it used to be also available in most cases you've put Flask of Death to the caves?

oh well.... :(  at the moment there are 8x more Flasks of Death in players backpacks compared to Canny Gatherer pot, so i wouldve expected this one too...  (considering also, that you've missed this one last time flask of death was in caves also, nor was it  available meanwhile nor long before that last cave-potion event....)

guess i'll wait for the "other event" then, may it occur soon...

and over there, just out of view, (no, not to the right, to the left, just past there *points*) is an odd looking cow in a kilt woven of gilded threads, laughing all the way to the bank....

*sighs* - OK, I'm done with the caves - the drop rates are just WAY too low now and the rubbish critters are appearing way too often.

10 million gold (so, 50 fsp) dropped and ...

2 (yes, just TWO) Flasks, 4 x EW1500s, 4 x UB's <- DESIRED

16 x Dblr 750, 4 x Imp, 6 x Forest Cave, 3 x Faceted Cave, 13 x FI800, 3 x EA, 17 x Composing Items <- NOT REALLY DESIRED

5 x SES, 35 x Assorted Useless Stuff <- TOTALLY UNWANTED

So, 112 drops in total (ergo each drop cost 89,285 gold) of which a whole 10 were desired

Something needs to change :(

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

That's not bad? Assuming the low end prices:

flask selling for 6-8 fsp in the market so 2x6 = 12

Greater EW sells for 5-6 so 5x4 = 20

UB selling for 2 fsp so 4x2 = 8

The rest of the potions worth maybe 5 or so fsp?

so you spent 50 and got 45 fsp worth of stuff (again, assuming the lower end prices). If you got with the higher end prices, you got upwards of 60 fsp worth of stuff...

:/

NOW do you believe me when I say the caves are pure inherent evil?

I guess, if you work it out like that - it's just so frustrating to see the rubbish critters so often. As I've said in my thread on scavenging

https://forums.hunte...-to-be-updated/

there needs to be a change to make it "feel" more rewarding, if not necessarily actually "be" more rewarding. To me, that would be actually seeing the target creature more often. In this case, the critter for the "flask of death" is a standard cave critter so it could be more difficult to implement, but the sentiment is the same :)

Sort of makes me think of Scrooge McDucks money bin.  And Penny, you may have hit on an idea for a new global event character.  Imagine how many Fallen Swordites would enjoy going after that Cow... :D

Some of the potion makers need that "rubbish" too. It's economics... the more scarce, the higher the price.

Is it normal to have the drop rate of special offer potions the same as the items in the caves year round?

This event is going to do nothing but increase the cost of Watch Your Back Brews and Flasks of Death... I just used 8 million gold, FI 1500 chest, Reckoning 200, ZB, and a BM 300 potion.  For 4 flasks of Death and the global frag boxes dropped???  Was planning on farming for a while... changed my mind pretty quick.    A total waste of my time and resources.

Not even going to waste more for Watch your Back Brews.
