An unupgraded account receives 50 stamina an hour.
How would this be allocated under your plan?
 
00:00 + 5 stamina = 5 total
00:05 + 5 stamina = 10 total
00:10 + 5 stamina = 15 total
00:15 + 5 stamina = 20 total
00:20 + 5 stamina = 25 total
00:25 + 5 stamina = 30 total
00:30 + 5 stamina = 35 total
00:35 + 5 stamina = 40 total
00:40 + 5 stamina = 45 total
00:45 + 5 stamina = 50 total
00:50 + oops out of stamina to allocate = 50 total
00:55 + oops out of stamina to allocate = 50 total

 

Yeah, my bad...
 

00:05 + 4 stamina = 4 total
00:10 + 4 stamina = 8 total
00:15 + 4 stamina = 12 total
00:20 + 4 stamina = 16 total

I still like the option to space it (more or less like ygh and cyrus are laying out and this is how I believe Hoof is thinking) or simply all at your tick. 

 

For most intensive purposes, I would personally prefer an at the tick option. For those times I am close to overflow, it's a negative, for me personally, to be receiving every five minutes. I lose that stam. I often come on post-overflow or close to it and use a minimal amount of stam to make sure further overflow doesn't occur. Enchant item buffs can also be used accordingly. 

 

For me, it's just easier. Again... that is a "me-me". I'm happy to adapt to whatever the community and HCS decides. I just like the "option" idea better. 

 

PS... still wondering if the Allegiance reset will be included in an easy-to-read area or if HCS simply forgot to reset it at midnight.

Seems odd - you appear to be able to buy multiple copies of it, each time adding +2 stam regain (in addition to the other stuff) - certainly hope that's not for real 'cos that is WAY overpowered ...

I just tested it... you get gift codes.... gift code did not work on my account... I am assuming because i already have  used 1 starter pack.

Hmm, guess the page needs more work then - something like "REPURCHASING THIS WILL NOT ADD BENEFITS TO YOUR ACCOUNT" or something. Hope you get reimbursed :)

We’re planning to increase the speed at which level low level players progress through the early levels, by boosting experience gain on all mobs and quests below level 100.

 

 

This won't actually help, because all your really doing, is like those big advertised online games that cherry-pick you through the tutorial, but don't actually make you want to play the game. You become reliant off the help given, and when gone, you're like, well this is boring, I'm going to quit. 

 In context to FS, your giving them an easy rid through the first 1/23 of the game, then making it harder on them instantly after level 100. If the changes we're to go through, I'd suspect people would take the game easily to 100, then quit  after it gets harder. 

 The current progression system is more linear, and fairer to the player in the sense, it doesn't give them a huge jump in exp, it's like 1.04 of your last level in EXP.

 

If you really want to resolve the issues around new players. You'd honestly have to overhaul the entirety of the tutorial system, introduce various different aspects of the game which they can ''dip'' into and explore to a certain degree, however if they want to continue with that aspect, they need to ascertain some degree of foundation, in the case of titan-hunting - levels / max stamina / gear.

 

I doubt it'll come about, since FS had it's spike long ago, and there has been various places for the Cows to actually put in a decent Tutorial system - FS 2.0, the huge test server to test it out etc - and they simply haven't done enough :(.

You can hit 120 within one hunt ( 140 to precise) #1 in my month did so with ease.  (Epic Quest / Code = 20/25k ish stam)

 

It doesn't guide us at all. It doesn't retain us at all.

 

I have my reasons for playing, though others might not, and that seems to be the case for a lot of new players, nothing ''grabs'' them. 

 

Leveling quickly is false hope in that sense, ''oh level quickly for 100 levels, then level like a snail'' It's counter productive.

 

Now one could argue I'd be a little annoyed that there will be other able to do it in this time with more relative ease due to ''increased exp'' but I'm just worried about the longevity of this game.

 

I had my fun with this and always will, especially when darkpig made TEW with a few others and FFS taking #1.

That response was unfair.

 

Yeah, I have.

 

FS is a fun game, and I want it to be fun for a variety of people, and the current way of improving the experience just doesn't, in my opinion, resolve the issues.

I helped new players getting to lvl 100+ in 6-8 hours

 

I do not think the problem will be solved if you boost the experience gain on all mobs & quests below lvl 100

 

the main 2 problems I heard from most new players are these :

  • why are the maps under lvl 100 a maze? (it is really difficult for new players to get into the next right map, I had to guide them almost step by step (map by map) !!!
  • why am I getting levels so slow when it only took me 6-8 hours to get over 100 levels, now it will take me months to get 100 more levels instead of 6-8 hours at the beginning !!!

I believe we should focus on making the maps from lvl 1 - 100 as simple (currently it is a maze and the next doorway does not always lead you to the next higher level map) as possible for the new players + when you mouse-over a doorway you be able to not only see the name of the map but also the level of the map !!!

Could not agree MORE ...

The early levels are a rabbit warren - I know BG started sorting 'em out, but they need finishing off.

 

Making the initial levels even easier will have one of two effects I feel, neither of which is a positive ...

 

1. New players see "I can make 100 levels in 1 day" - how long is it gonna take me to reach EOC ? - 20 days ? - and then what do I do ?

 

or

 

2. New players race through the first 100 levels thinking this is fun (and easy) and then hit Level 101 where, all of a sudden, they stop being 100m sprinters and turn into doddering oldies on walking frames ...

 

This isn't a good idea IMO ..
