New Player Improvements
We’re planning to increase the speed at which level low level players progress through the early levels, by boosting experience gain on all mobs and quests below level 100.
This won't actually help, because all your really doing, is like those big advertised online games that cherry-pick you through the tutorial, but don't actually make you want to play the game. You become reliant off the help given, and when gone, you're like, well this is boring, I'm going to quit.
In context to FS, your giving them an easy rid through the first 1/23 of the game, then making it harder on them instantly after level 100. If the changes we're to go through, I'd suspect people would take the game easily to 100, then quit after it gets harder.
The current progression system is more linear, and fairer to the player in the sense, it doesn't give them a huge jump in exp, it's like 1.04 of your last level in EXP.
If you really want to resolve the issues around new players. You'd honestly have to overhaul the entirety of the tutorial system, introduce various different aspects of the game which they can ''dip'' into and explore to a certain degree, however if they want to continue with that aspect, they need to ascertain some degree of foundation, in the case of titan-hunting - levels / max stamina / gear.
I doubt it'll come about, since FS had it's spike long ago, and there has been various places for the Cows to actually put in a decent Tutorial system - FS 2.0, the huge test server to test it out etc - and they simply haven't done enough
