Better crafting system, in the sense that levelling them does not only unlock new stuff, but say higher farming = lower chances of disease, or higher armor smithing gives a random chance to craft a better item.
Better achievement system, in the sense that hard to get achieves gives some kind of bonus, say unlocking the 5k kills with each weapon type gives bonus 2% damage using that weapon type, or finishing all quest related achieves gives +5% to movespeed. And a title system based on achievements.
Unlocking the rewards for account levelling.
More gear of same grade type, but acquired in different ways. For example heroic gear from dungeon, from soloing, from pvping, from random wb drop, that are similar (but not equal because random wb drop should be harder to obtain than soloing) but emphasis different stats to diversify the builds people can do.
Arena/toc/more mini-game-ish areas that are fun but also worthwhile to do.
Able to change the appearance of characters.
Name change (that you can buy with EP, not send in a ticket and get a name change based on how much the dev who reads the ticket likes you).
Weapon skins.
Pet/mount skills and emotes.
