Actually, Mr S, it looks like you were rather lucky. The OFSG lists the dragon drop rates as 1.5% chance of getting anything. With that level FI & LL, I reckon that ends up at about 3.94%, which would be about 870 drops.

If its the caves give up now they have the same drop rate as realm based.
Incorrect. The drop rate in caves are double the Realm drop rate.

you could have fooled me !!..drop rate on both realm and cave are ridiculously low ..I am done scavenging because you could go broke trying to get 1 item let alone a set..guess all that is left is to wait for global shard events to get LE shards..which will reduce my playing time here..just like many others who have ventured from the game for various reasons..maybe you should hunt them yourself Big grim and find out how exciting it is to go 0-24 or 0-30...my best was 0-110 before I got a drop..not too much fun when the drops are that few and far between : (

Nobody is ever happy.... Either the drops are too plentiful, or they're not enough.... IT WAS A LEGENDARY EVENT! Drops are ideally supposed to be rare..... if you want the stuff, you have to expend time and stam/gold.... Let's stop all the belly aching. IMHO, the event was a little too soon.....

Nobody is ever happy, because somehow this game honestly gives us a really hard time. We can complain and discuss but changes take forever to come.
Btw is BigGrim the only one working on Fallensword?

Incorrect. The drop rate in caves are double the Realm drop rate.
then why isnt that information reflected in the guide after all isnt that what the guide is for to guide us? as they all have a drop rate listed as 1.5% total divided by what ever items are in the set... its conflicting information that annoys people

No, hoof and zorg are actively working on it, too. They have many irons on the fire, though.... Perfection does take time, however, and a lot of trial and error.... This is still the best game out there, and even with its little problems, has few things wrong compared to most of the other games that I play... It is still the best maintained, and has the most active staff within the community. We complain and grouse, but we have it good.... Thanks, Cow Gods

I don't envy the cows....
First it was, The drop rates are too high because of FI 1K! Too much gear in the game!
Now we have composing and it's, The drop rates suck! I need more drops! Give me a bigger FI!
I don't know about everyone else, but I think that if you want to have a billion frags, there's plenty of options. Buy them from farmers who are happy enough with the drop rate, go bananas during frag events, open chests, etc. I'm not really sure how much more it's gonna take to make everyone happy.
I've been plenty critical of the cows over the years, and I think they deserve a medal for dealing with some of us...

It's our job to point out problems/flaws in the game, but I couldn't agree more with this. So many players criticizing the game because it doesn't play out in their favor. (I am willing to admit that I have succumbed to this a couple times.)
Players and admins alike have to be on the same side for progress to be made. Otherwise, it just turns into another stagnant dispute/bloodletting on the forums.
