This is not ways to save the game.
This is basically a list of what doja wants to suit his gameplay needs. Not saving the game. I have no idea how making fp and gems gathering harder, is going to bring old players back etc. It is dramatics wrapped in a post.
As for the rest. I think gems were mentioned before. More tiers do not need to be added, a pointless excercise for now untill the game is way more up on levels. Haste gems etc were mentioned by others and ways to improve those gems. No probs with that part.
Guilds. Sure of course hcs do not mess that up. But the impact it will now have is debateable. You might have missed the boat on that one. The pop has crashed. I also have this sinking feeling it will be just clan names and trinkets. (I pray I am so wrong) Also there will be few proper guilds at this point.
I don't really have too much issue with the rest. But some is shear dramatics. To finish,
people also when making posts can't seem to step outside the box. I have groups and grinding allies and hours on game. Now I have loads, let's make it harder .......... step outside the box and be the guy who has no set groups, few connections and spends hours getting small gains. Those are the people walking out the hcs/eldevin front door and the people waiting for proper updates.
So what are your suggestions or is your point that it can't be saved at this point?
And I take offense that you sum up my suggestions as just things to suit my gameplay needs.
Most MMOs have several key components: (1) Collection (building up currency, items, gems, etc.); (2) Leveling (character level, skill level); (3) PvP Competition; (4) Storyline (i.e., campaign mode in many single player games); (5) Building a character and having fun playing that style (incorporates some of the previous elements). If you think there is another major feature I am missing that is not encompassed in these, feel free to go ahead and explain it.
Collection: My suggestions regarding collection is that they need to be expanded. The gem game collection will dry up before long unless steps are taken to reinvigorate it. I praised the Cows for adding the random stat crafted weapons, which adds a good amount of collection into the game.
Leveling / Storyline: HCS, having a small development crew, has proven that it cannot keep up fast enough on these fronts. This is why my suggestions are not simply "release more maps and new areas." And when they do release new levels, people reach them in a couple days to a week. Unfortunately, this does not appear to be a viable area for holding players interest because it simply cannot be released frequently enough. Thus, my suggestions try to focus on smaller changes that will have a longer lasting impact.
PvP Competition: The Cows never put emphasis into this which was a big mistake, imo. PvP is recurring fun that doesn't require new releases. Instead the Cows focused on this game as a single player (and group) dungeon story game. However, this requires constant new content to keep its audience, which they cannot release quickly enough. I'm hoping that somehow the release of guilds will incorporate PvP. Additionally, my suggestion regarding custom games is aimed at adding depth to this area without a ton of effort (e.g., new maps, calculated matchmaking, etc).
Building a Character: There aren't that many good and different ways to build characters. This causes many players to lose interest. My other suggestions regarding new skills, new gems, etc., were aimed at allowing new and interesting character builds. This would be much more enjoyable for HolyGhost than myself - this is not a "Doja wants to make new builds" suggestion.
Who Has Left Game? While I don't disagree that many players may stall out before reaching max levels, the number of top tier players who have quit is astonishing. Players who reach the top tiers spend a lot of time on the game. They are a vibrant and visible part of the community. They can help lower level players. So the focus absolutely needs to be on making the game interesting so that they will either return or the ones we have won't leave. I'm not opposed to other suggestions for keeping players from stalling out. But I guarantee a more visible high level community that recruits lower level players to their guild and encourages and helps them will have a positive effect on the mid-level stall out.
My entire post is legitimately aimed at making this game interesting and holding high level players. Anyone who thinks this post is simply me trying to get things put into the game that I want is a moron. I'm perfectly happy playing other games. I don't need Eldevin. So if you want to encourage an unsuccessful course for this game go right ahead.
