Well, that songs an oldie but goodie.

But then so am I.

Saw live performances from bands that are now no more.  Saw them in the Salt Palace,  then the New Salt Palace, Park West and few other places too. Saw David Crosby shake his fist at cloud filled sky and tell the clouds to be gone. The clouds did part and the show went on.

Also saw artists who appeared on the Ed Sullivan show for the first time.

Still will not play the game any other way than the way I want, I'm to stubborn for anything else.

PvP protection and a watchful eye.

I depend on deflect now when I hunt, along with a few other buffs.

Players will still need to protect themselves from gold hits or they will not be able to buy potions, buffs, gear, player upgrades, or anything else for gold, because someone else will take first.

I think deflect will stay, and so will anti deflect.

PvP protection only keeps you out of the bands and being put up for random attacks, it will not stop the gold hits.

Deflect will be staying.

PvP Protection will operate as normal. It does not make you exempt from the Season play.

so by simply pressing attack the protection is automatically removed then? as it stands now if you opt into the ladder its removed as well but since you'll already be on a ladder of sorts its just a gold sink?

If you are on the seasons, it protects your XP, same as it does off the Ladder now. There is no opting out of the Seasons, thus no need to remove it.

*Edit*

Bear in mind, if you initial an attack, PvP Protection will still deactivate, just as it does now.

Hey! This is a refugee thread! You are in danger of turning it into an actual thread about actual issues! Stop already! LOL!

Good-bye and hello, as always.

I'd like a little clarification here.  You make it sound like I can participate in Seasons with protection active.  I won't lose XP from others attacking me but I can still attack them.  Surely this is not what is intended.

Screenshot everything!

Pillowfighting for prestige...like this won't be taken advantage of if thats the case. If players plan on gaining any points they should face xp loss as well...I dont like the idea of no xp loss in pvp, that's ridiculous.

Right now if you have PvP protection, you lose it as soon as you initiate an attack. Hopefully that aspect remains. It should probably also lock your ELO rating, or reduce it to zero. Otherwise you could have some abuse where a bunch of people lose on purpose to a friend who has PvP protection, allowing them to gain an inflated rating without ever actually attacking. The random nature of the opponent selection should curb this though.

People who truly never PvP will drop to Wood league pretty quickly and if they stay there indefinitely, they shouldn't be bothered much anymore. As long as a significant ELO rating difference involves no rating transfer (on the PvP Season preview screen, PLEASE show how much rating you stand to gain or lose!), those with the lowest ratings should never be attacked at all unless it's a gold hit.

I've edited the post above to have this as  well to prevent further worried posts.

We do thank everyone for their feedback in the previous thread and have taken it into account. Once the new PvP Tournament system is in place, we'll look forward to further feedback after you've tried it.
