I thought you were a roll of useful adhesive material, but now you're showing you're a monkey instead? I am disappointed! :P

Scones suck.

And I grew up on them.

If I'd grown up in Cornwall or Devon, the scones would have been great. But anywhere else in the formerly GB scones were always too dry and needed butter/margarine/jams/marmalades to keep you from choking to death.

They are served with tea on purpose. You need the moisture in order to swallow them.

Scones. I'm not bitter.

Good-bye and hello, as always.

can't speak for the entire USA, but here in the south gravy is the answer to everything

meanwhile, USA wins v Japan and takes the womens' world cup - we would have preferred playing England in a re-enactment of our war for independence, but...

Unlike the war of independence, you'd have lost ;) (hopefully)

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

I was negative towards scones, but hell no to the abomination that is southern gravy!! On biscuits, as they are known!

I've tried it. I WANTED to like it. It was gross. I don't know how grandma's version could save it. Maybe the one I had lacked bacon!! But white, thick and tasteless was my repulsive experience. It coagulated in my mouth. Bleh. It is up there with the Chinese dumpling I had that I was convinced contained an eyeball. Or testicle. Not a happy culinary experience.

On the other hand, 5-2!! W00T!

You needed sausage gravy! Now THAT is good. I tend to agree with tasteless white gravy though. It hurts my taste buds to even think about it. Blech.

Edit: Dog gone typo!

Yeah, breakfast sausage which has a bit of spice to it. Add that to the biscuits and gravy. Mostly though, yep bleh on white gravy.
