I don't know about others, but I have been thinking a lot about this.

Many items of the "mundane" loot are at least at the moment worthless. Maybe up to lvl 5 people will pick it up to sell, but seeing that the items are worth 2 or 3 bronze pieces, most people will not think about picking them up.

Why, not integrate those items more into the gameplay. The items exist, but seem to be useless. My suggestion at least about the following are:

Rags: Why not use them for tailoring ?? All that is needed is an update on items for this skill. (It can also be used as added item for the farming daily skill quest.)

Stale Bread, Breadroll: Why not use those for "croutons" in soup, just add soup as item for cooking ??

Spring Water: Why not use this to mix drinks. (Say add grapes and water, for sparkling wine) This can either be used in cooking, or for a new skill which I call Bartending. (As addition to cooking)

Innards: Can be used for cooking.

Fangs: Agreed just like rags, there are different ones, but the idea is the same. It can be used in 3 skills so far as I can see. Leatherworking and Tailoring, for Spiked items. (Spiked helm, spiked belt etc etc etc) Or in Jewelry, as the ivory can be used for inlay, thus esthetically pleasing jewelry.

Shell Fragment: See fangs

I am sure that there are many other options, but it is a way to get more exp from items that already exist, and to make those items more integrated into the gameplay. Where as at the moment all those things are going to waste.

Also Dense Ore, has not yet been in use in the game. I'd would suggest to use it. Lets say use 2 coal per Dense Ore, and the durability of the created item is double that of the ones made with regular ore. (The cost of coal needs to be put to use.)

Dense ore is one of the main material to craft rare jewelries.

Jewarly crafting rare's - Limited use compared pure - Even less means do to rare drops more less better then crafted mean's - newest set.

Agree - on mundan loot being some what usefull - even it was daily Quest item or some thing so there some point picking them up random npc request - mundain loot offer random rewards - wounder around talk to npc might find some look for some thing. Side Quest - Job from daily route.

At lvl 40+ while doing quests, I have actually paid my repair costs while lvling and picking it up.

Guess it is not meant to be that good and useful. Just something little extra.

I wonder if it could possibly be used for the Scribe profession but very unlikely. And the food items are not useless actually. I use them to restore health/mana when I can.

The "junk" loot from mobs do give a little extra income to pay repairs and such but turning them into crafting material would make the gathering process even more painfull as it is, and the added fact that there isn't a 100% drop chance, well...
