There are always a lot of assumptions based on statistics. I can say from my profession that there is a lot of self-interest involved in how they are presented.
What I've always wondered when people bring up the topic is if the parameters are the same as they were years ago for what is considered "online" player.
Currently, online players, according to the link, counts players online in the last 30 minutes. I have no idea if that was always the case.
That said, this link shows an online graph, but there is no indication of the timeline it covers.
Currently, it states that there are 716,763 FS players. I have no idea if that is simply an account count, but it's what I suspect.
From my personal experience, I know there was a huge exodus for various motives. I also do see new people coming in and talking in Global or whatever.
This link currently shows that 208 new players have joined in the last 4 days. You could use it to make some dubious conclusions at best.
On what Tharzill says, there is a huge argument for that on the one-hand. I actually earlier today checked the top 10 for my month and I'm only at 25. One was inactive which doesn't necessarily imply anything.
Others had varying days gone, but almost all were at extremely low stam in their banks.
My experience does tell me that people log in only to hunt or when called in to do this or that.
Anyway, tharz, not too sure if any of that info is useful or not.
The real question for me is: would it really be efficient if there were more FS addicts like me, on quite a lot, and posting walls of text which most don't have the patience to read through? lmfao.
PS... that's not to imply that my personal walls of text are useful.
