Given that the HCS "chase for cash" is becoming more frequent these days, and offering better and better deals to try and tempt players to part with their cash, maybe it's time to reconsider an idea raised in the past (can't remember how long ago) and ruled out at that time.

HCS is a SCOTTISH company, based in the UK, but trades in the US DOLLAR.

Whilst I understand the reasoning there (for that being the primary currency), given the majority of the player base is from there, I still think it's morally wrong not to offer other currency options for donations. If players have a "fixed rate" amount for donations, then they can budget for them.

As it stands now, players in the USA get their 400 (or 500 fsp + potion) for $60, day in, day out, week in, week out, year in and year out.

That $60 donation to a player in the UK though, can vary enormously, from just over 34 pounds (at 1.75 exchange rate) up to just over 41 pounds (at the current, 1.45 exchange rate) - that's quite a variation.

For a EURO customer, that same donation can fluctuate between 42E (at 1.4 exchange rate) and 52E (current, 1.14 exchange rate).

I think it's overdue that customers in different parts of the world start to get more of a fair shake, when donating?

Let HCS take the exchange rate fluctuations - but set the rate wisely - and, I suspect, more players will donate ...

Thoughts / Comments ?

I really like this idea. As someone from the UK I'd definitely appreciate there being a fixed rate. Admittedly it is not the most strenuous task to quickly check the exchange rate before donating but all the same it would be nice to know where I stand.

I would love to see an admin response on this one. Can't see any negative to just having an option. Make it a fair price between the peaks of the exchange rate and I can't see any issues from this.

Great suggestion. :)

I also get charged 2 extra fees for buying in dollars :(

03 May 16     NON-STG PURCH FEE          DEB         1.50
03 May 16     NON-STG TRANS FEE 2.75%      DEB         4.53

I often do not donate when the exchange rate is worse than usual.

Oh, I know, this'll be on it - along with lots of other ideas that should get implemented to further the game, but never will :(

We can hope tho ..

Hi there.

This is not something we are looking to implement at this time.
