Given that the HCS "chase for cash" is becoming more frequent these days, and offering better and better deals to try and tempt players to part with their cash, maybe it's time to reconsider an idea raised in the past (can't remember how long ago) and ruled out at that time.
HCS is a SCOTTISH company, based in the UK, but trades in the US DOLLAR.
Whilst I understand the reasoning there (for that being the primary currency), given the majority of the player base is from there, I still think it's morally wrong not to offer other currency options for donations. If players have a "fixed rate" amount for donations, then they can budget for them.
As it stands now, players in the USA get their 400 (or 500 fsp + potion) for $60, day in, day out, week in, week out, year in and year out.
That $60 donation to a player in the UK though, can vary enormously, from just over 34 pounds (at 1.75 exchange rate) up to just over 41 pounds (at the current, 1.45 exchange rate) - that's quite a variation.
For a EURO customer, that same donation can fluctuate between 42E (at 1.4 exchange rate) and 52E (current, 1.14 exchange rate).
I think it's overdue that customers in different parts of the world start to get more of a fair shake, when donating?
Let HCS take the exchange rate fluctuations - but set the rate wisely - and, I suspect, more players will donate ...
