Daily Quest Defeat 5 Super Elite creatures 0 / 5 Gain +70 Reserve Stamina

Daily Quest Collected!

You have successfully collected the reward: Gain +70 Reserve Stamina

Before today, I have rarely gone SE hunting. I ended up not only killing the 5 SEs needed for the daily quest, but decided to carry on and kill a few more. I had a wonderful time doing something different, and even made new friends.

+1 for Daily Quests

it really doesn't take long to search through the OFSG for this, Josh

less than 2 minutes, looking up champs, 10th lowest level (curse of misfortune) spawns in a 3x3 area, the 11th in a 4x4

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. :)

This is why i went after the Elites needed for a quest. There are a few quests where you have to kill xxx champs..... in those cases, they are plentiful. Same with the Skeletal Warriors, sometimes there were 3 on 1 square. And, remember AM DOES in fact work on Champs. It also works on the handful of Elites where you have to kill more than one for a specific quest.

These daily quests are intended to be a little added fun to keep us interested while our stam builds. I think folks are trying to overcomplicate them, wanting big rewards like a regular quest, or an easy button. I know, some tweaking needs to be done, but Hoof also knows this, I'm sure.

I'm not saying that you aren't offering some constructive criticism, because imo, you are, I just wondered why you tried to go after a hard to find/kill beast is all.

At least you aren't complaining that the little reward isn't enough or demanding something complicated. We have regular quests and (ugh, so boring) Titan hunting for that ;)

Well, answering your question. There is no information about which Champion is easy to find. Of course I made some mistakes, this is on me, but I was trying the new addition to the game. Here is what I did:

1) First I tried to find some Champions at my level or below so I could level up and finish the task. Obviously it did not work well.

2) Then I searched the wiki for some Champion at least half my level and in a realm with less creatures of different classes (Avian, Human, etc...). The best place according to my requisite was Emerye (North). Other aspects helped define this realm: near a Master Realm, near other areas with Champions, the format of the realm.

Some considerations:

1) I had no information about spawning information

2) if you can 1-hit kill, then the level of the creature is not much important, as you still waste 1 stamina, right? So the realm I was in would be the same of the realm you suggested, except for the re-spawning of the Champion.

3) even if I had used a better Light Foot, still I had the chronometer against me, because I had only 3 hours, a bit more than half my maximum stamina; I cannot play the game for more than one and a half hour everyday, but I can peek the game many times a day. For more complex actions only on weekends and I am not at the server's time. So, I have a small window.

4) other mistake I made was to use Doubler as it does not work, and I realize it after killing ten Champions

And yes, I am just trying to help if I can. I play the game for free, for fun. For me the idea is great as I can keep doing my things (leveling up, for instance) and getting somethings else (for free) in the process. Just like today: level up and walking 200 tiles. Perfect!

Hey, I really appreciate your comments. I am still learning the game and this is the best part of it: the relationship with other players, even when they attack me for nothing.

Cheers!

While I like the variety of aspects explored in these quests, for the love of god, can we at least break even on our stamina usage? I really do appreciate you guys putting in the time and effort to introduce these daily quests to the game, but I am beyond disappointed in the 'rewards'.

'Traverse 400 tiles' - reward +125 current stamina?

I mean... seriously? One, this isn't even an interesting one and actually involves no skill or effort whatsoever. Waste 400 stamina and we'll give you 125 of it back. Give me €400 and I'll pay you back €125!

My one today is defeat 100 champions for +50 reserve stamina. Predicting the stamina it'll take to travel to a realm, find the champions and actually kill them, and then travel back... I'm looking at 300+ stamina usage, to earn 50 back. I mean, come on HCS. Almost 9 years of this game and you come out with this. It's just so disappointing, and makes no sense whatsoever.

And before anyone starts the whole "you don't have to do the quests" comments, HCS introduced these to try get players to be more active daily and encourage people to play more. All I'm saying, not in a million years would I log into a game to complete a quest that requires more stamina usage than the reward given at the end!

Who cares what stam is used, what pots are used, what buffs are used when participating in Daily Quests. You do realise they are not mandatory? Geez!

Hoof, I'm still pushing for you to consider Composing XP rewards. I would jump through hoops during a daily quest for a little extra composing XP. I do hope others agree with me.

I also agree with adding in regular XP awards. Both composing and regular xp should have some form of simple algorithm based on current level.

i.e. XP Reward = (Composing Level) x ("Task Difficulty Ratio") x (Numeric Constant)

We're going to be looking at adding more variety and reward types in the future :)

"The way I see it...well, it's all kinda blurry..."

Seriously though, I thought it was plain from the initial announcement that this was going to be a work in progress, and while some of the quests might be a bit on the lame side, a lot of them can be completed just by regular leveling.   ie Walk 400 tiles.

I imagine there will be days when I don't have the time (or the desire) to do the quest, that's fine, another day's coming, and with it, Daily Quest version 1.1   ;)

Excellent point about the walk xxx tiles. I had one, I got it just returning to my relic.

Just one old lady's opinion

Moved 500 squares for 6 max stamina. Did the 500/500. Clicked collect.

It said I had already collected or not completed the quest. Then it said 496/500 squares moved.

I moved 4 more and was able to collect. So I really moved 504 squares for +6 max stamina

wow...been dodging a hurricane..miss all the opening funnies about the daily quests..too kinda be expected how it came out..we all know hoof does not play game that much..and so some of his original guesses for things to do and/or the amount of rewards for said quests were a little (se's kill a lot) ..off

..but since expected..glad to see it come out..give him feedback..and let him make it better..plenty of opportunity with this idea to help the game and improve some other aspects of the game..big kudos for that..but also hopefully the cows can see where some aspects need some help or quests cant be done..arena can time out.]

but really like what i see..i guess i got on of the easy ones..go 400 tiles..i am chest hunting..piece of cake..+7,max stam..to me that is a good reward ..i am moving around anyway...not really worried about how much stam it costs to do these..if your playing chances are you complete a quest as your going...a bonus for the day..

Some feedback.

I had to reduce a titan's life with 200 in return for 400 stamina.

Buffs @ lvl 175: Conserve, Reckoning, Teleport

I started with 32336 stamina.

Gained 97 during the tick.

After reward I had 32382 stamina.

That is 46 more than I started with, however I gained during the tick, so overall it was 51 stamina loss.

All moves I made was by using Teleport (to save stamina), including getting to the right map, so it took some time aswel.

Up to you wether you would find it worth your time/trouble/effort.

If you used Titan doubler, you would have 800 tkps toward a Titan. That's worth something?

Join 2 arenas 0 / 2 Gain +45 Allegiance Tokens

I think Zombie Brew as a reward for daily quest would be sweet, it quite costly for around my level

I was under the impression from previous posts here, that Titan doubler had no effect towards the quest kill count, hence I decided not to use it. But indeed for the tkp, it would have been better to use it.

And you would use 4 times more stamina on the process...And with the Epic prices nowdays, not sure if that would be worthed something.
