HCS: could we please get some feedback on buff tweaks for this? Above and beyond all with Quest Hunter as:

 

I experimented on a champion daily today, and quest hunter had absolutely no effect.

I also have a feeling that programming issues with quests involving moving X number of tiles are incorrectly discounting LF activation... that could just be in my head.
 
Beyond that... if you could let us know when the final tweaks on daily quests and their prizes are done, would be great. Might spur a guide ,oP

While many could rightly complain about the whole "beta" aspect, I've liked the attention placed and the adjustments made... even those I don't agree with.

Well after several days into the daily quests, I am starting to like it more and more. The first i had was fine just didnt care for the current stam reward ( and i think that is probably the biggest issue as rewards go). Since then i have gotten +6 max stam twice, 200k gold, +7 max stam and today i got +10 max stam. 4 of the quest i have gotten have been kill creature (based on class, champion, elite or just any creature that isnt champ,elite, SE, Legendary or Titan), another one was walk x amount of titles, and one was join 2 arenas. Anyways keep giving me the quests for gold or max stam and i will be happy for life LOL i know the quests are random but we can all dream right?

 

Lastly on a side note keep up the good work, and don't listen to those making a big fuss over this.

Personally, I don't think quest hunter SHOULD work on the Daily Quests. The quest is to kill 50 or 75 or 100, not 12.5 or 18.75 or 25.

 

Come on folks, how long does it take to kill 100 p*ss easy critters ? - 2 mins, 3 ??

 

The only exception that I think has any merit to be allowed to work is on Titans, 'cos of their annoying 1-hit-jump mentality

Pardoux, this is exactly my crux.

Again, I think a huge amount of confusion I've seen on this thread is precisely because the skill descriptions clearly state that they SHOULD work. 

 

I further "suspect" (and could def be wrong) that LF is causing some huge programming issues.

 

In my eye... these are Daily QUESTS. 

 

Quite seriously, personally, I could care less. However, my personal experience has shown that way less than 10% of the FS population knows what individual buffs do. 

 

Titan Doubler, base on the current skill description, we could give a pass. 

 

HOWEVER:

 

Quest Hunter At skill level 50+ grants 2x the kills towards quest requirements.. At level 100+ 3x, and at level 150+ 4x.

 

How can Quest Hunter not work on these? (Beyond that, I have a sneaking, unfounded suspicion that the errors in Daily Quests "tile moves" are discounting when LF activates... something that make zero logical sense). 

 

Personally, I'd prefer that HCS up the kills. I think it's ridiculous, and damaging, to change what skills do simply because of this. To me, it makes zero sense. 

 

If, however, HCS decides that skills do NOT work (and seriously, I can't fathom why) on this Daily Quests... then there is a serious overhaul that needs to be done on the skill description.

 

To sum up: Although I do see "some" logic here... there is zero logic if a caveat is NOT put in the skills that they don't work on this particular thing. 

 

It's also completely illogical to me to provide a buff and then say... "oh, btw, it doesn't work in X situation or Y situation", etc.

 

There are tons of examples of this in this thread. Personally, I see zero logic to why QH (as stated by row earlier) does not work when defeating mobs. It's quite clear that it should.

 

Titan comments are also right on... in this case because, the last I saw, it was based on HP (It may have been changed to kills, which would only support the idea for QH being effective) which makes it clear that Titan Doubler should be effective. 

 

I mentioned, back in post #178 (I believe) that buffs on the skill guide needed some major revisions if HCS was so insistent on the fact that long-standing skills should NOT work for these events.

 

I think that attitude is ridiculous and should be revisted. How skills function should be straight forward and easily explainable and accessible via the skill list. 

 

Adding caveats creates, as we have already seen, a huge amount of confusion and is detrimental to the game. 

 

IN A NUTSHELL: Please avoid causing so many problems by forcing yourselves to do more work and change skill descriptions. 

 

Otherwise, both myself and everyone else in game, should file support tickets 24/7 because your explanation is inadequate. 

 

Up the requirements, if need be, but keep skills as they are described.... please. 

 

If not, get off your butt and make sure that skills describe what they actually do to include all the "random" decisions made with this upgrade.

 

It's just my opinion, but I truly believe that allowing skills to function how they were meant to be would be a lot easier for HCS:

I did this ...in varas dungeon ( level 5 ) there are loads of elite creatures u can 1  hit with your epics on .. just a heads up =)

Hello all.  Conceptually, I like the idea of the Daily Quests.  Implementation-wise, it definitely needs work. I will say, Version 1.0 of most things usually are great conceptually, but need to be fleshed out.

 

So far, the quests I've encountered don't really seem like quests.  They are more minor activities with insignificant rewards:

 

Join 3 arenas, Gain +200,000 Gold

Travel 500 tiles, Gain +9 Max Stamina

 

The first, at least motivates me to enter the arena.  I've never competed in the PvP Arena, so this might be of interest.  The second one, however, is not a challenge if I'm already hunting.  I get that it's probably designed to motivate inactive players to move.

 

I agree that the challenges should be a little more stimulating with greater rewards.  It might be nice there was a ticker for completed rewards and as a player progressed, the challenges and rewards would become more substantial.  I assume, like most other aspects of the game, there will be medals for completed rewards?

 

If you're looking for more "gold sinks," what if you offered the option to "purchase an additional Daily Quest beyond the original one offered each day.  There could be a limit of three total per day.

 

It would also be nice to see rewards for consistency (7 consecutive days, 30 consecutive days, etc.)

 

Finally, what about a "Daily Guild  Quest" where a guild has to have a certain minimum of active players (say six members) and 50% or more of the guild must complete the Daily Guild Quest.  The quest would take into consideration that players are at different levels, but each player would complete a similar task.  Once the the Quest has been achieved, the guild would receive the reward (additional BP slot, Gold, FSP, RP points, XP points, etc.)  This would certainly promote teamwork as well as motivate players to be more involved.  Just my thoughts...

I tried this out when I had a move 400 quest, and it worked fine. The DQ counter kept increasing every move---whether or not my stam decreased.

A  bit of luck with the DQ sequence here.

 

Sunday I had move 400 for 150k gold, so walked to Hellion's Lair to see if it was a good place to hunt champs. (It is, by the way)

 

Monday was kill 125 champs (!!!) for 150k gold

 

Today is kill 175 champs (!!!) for 10 max stam

Because Titan Doubler has never worked for quest, nor should it. Quest Hunter works on Elemental Titans as they are attached to full on quests.

 

Not entirely convinced that Quest Hunter should work on Dailies myself. Certainly something I'll ask Hoofmaster about as any further adjustments are implemented.

Not entirely sure that it is worth it? Spent over 120 stamina to get there and walk around and find one Elite.

It costs me 840 stamina, but was fun. Hey I got tokens.

I have not been able to complete all the DQs I've been given so far. I don't have access to a computer. The two I didn't do, were two i could have done while in the process of Leveling. :(

Other than that, they're a little fun. But tbh, I can't see them captivating many players for long. Unless you give them what they want Huge rewards for doing little :-(

I don't think that should happen. Unless it's something really hard for them to do, to make it worth them earning

I did this yesterday in Varas Dungeon for 40 Allegiance Tokens. I spent about 1500 stam to kill 200 Elite. I've followed the advice from BadPenny. I used only the Special item AM, FI (800) and LF+Conserve which I composed. At least the task gave me some Plants and Items to defragment. Maybe not worthwhile but I do this anyway when I need items to defragment. It always depend on the point of view (seems like the half-empty/half-full glass thing).

 

Today I have to kill 200 Champions for +80 reserve stamina. I am following the tip from rowbeth and will try the Tower of Syndorell, Burning Abyss (Hellions Lair) and maybe Leghra Fortress (Level 2). Maybe today I will use a better AM and have more luck. Tomorrow I hope to get a better DQ.

Once i realised that, I would just go for a walk every 10 minutes and stop once I'd killed 2 of them. I'm not sure whether Varas has something similar, or whether it is just too big and with two many other competing with you.

 

Girath's Den might be a better one. Just under 60 tiles to walk to, but only 11 tiles once you are there. Ramdahl Caves 5 is also pretty small once you get there.

My one and a half cents are Quest Hunter should NOT work on the Dailies BG. If it is implemented then folks will log on, spend 1 - 2 minutes killing critters and be gone again. At least without it they may stay three or four... ;)

When I had the quest, I took the opportunity to farm elites for gear (at the highest levels). Couple hours later and only 60 kills, I moved to Varas and got the remaining 165 kills in about 10 minutes. Great place for elites as they are all over he place and must spawn a lot.

I also farmed gear with the SE's when I had that quest.

I try to use the dailies to combine with other activities.

Really enjoying them so far.

One suggestion for another daily - capture relics! ;-p

There are two Elites there. One with two spawns, the other with fifteen!

One suggestion for another daily - capture relics! ;-p
