In my opinion, if any bonus is added for TKP (ex: 2x TKP) then a longer cool down upon buying/securing the epic should be longer than the 7 days now so that the increase in the rate of the supply that will happen from this is more controlled.

But either way an ignore button would be a great thing for chat.

+1 but only a little. TKP prices are a bit too high but if you lower it too much, it won't be worth the effort of a secure.

1.  How would you handle players on the world map who are hunting and don't necessarily want to show as in chat?

2. +1 but if the mod has PMs turned off the accidentally banned users might not have a way to question them but if they are turned on, intentionally banned players will most likely spam the mod with junk...

And while we are at it, any hopes to fix the word wrap error in the near future?  (When someone types something that takes more than one line of chat, chat only scrolls down 1 line so the rest of the sentence doesn't show and future posts are hidden until you manually scroll down.)

 

1 : a preference to turn that off

2 : they probably have it off for a reason or that person in question muted for a reason

3 : make it that way on the global chat page but not for the world map make the world map version to only display the latest 5-10 to reduce lagg without having to shut it off

could be done but still there would probably be a cheaper version of that epic already existing ... so i dunno ...

 

 

else it gotta be higher level titans and thus it would exclude the lower levels wich seems unfair ...

After 48hrs without any kill on titan, just kill the Titan (HCS do it), give the drop if he's secured, and the TKP if someone else farmed it. And he will spawn again after.

I believe there is no way better than that.

Hunting the wickerman and knowing the time is about up and nowhere near TKP to get one this year made me think of something, It has a couple parts and a couple variations so please bear with me.

 

1 How about considering a bit more time for seasonals? Perhaps a month for each??? This gives the smaller guilds that generally have to settle for the lesser TKP of lower places a bit more time to add it up.

 

2 Perhaps something could be set up to do one titan each month that is that months featured one? Tweak the spawn rate to put it out more often maybe even daily and let everyone at it! 

This could be used in a couple ways to make titans a bit more popular for all,,,

 

First option, make 9 new titans, set it up so Oct has Tommy, Nov is Fawkes, Dec for Krumpers (the ones available already) and make new ones for the other months.

Pros, more titans to hunt that are limited which seems to encourage people to hunt harder and dont sit out for days with less than 50% hp

Cons, cows have to make 9 new titans of various levels and the work it would take and time taken from already set projects.

 

The second option is take the 3 mentioned above that are already seasonal and limited and add 9 from the current pool perhaps ones that are a bit less popular nowdays, remove them from the current spawn list and only spawn them on their month.

Pros, more interest in titans that are in regular rotation as well as more interest in the limited time ones, limiting the flood of these drops in AH lets price and demand stabilise and opens up the possability of more titans that arent in the "old" rotation like was done with SEs

Cons, more work for the cows, titans that are in rotation arent available the rest of the year.

I really hate to drag on about the planned Composing updates that were supposed to have happened but I thought I would mention that I am not seeing any "Random potion bottle and colors when creating a new potion".

This is not at all an important feature. Please worry about the more pressing issues, but I thought I would at least mention it.

Tacking onto that question, would the click all when dropping and destroying count with different color/size potions since they still have the same name or not?

I'd like to find a way to encourage the clean up after a secure. Possibly a "Gain double TKP after the Titan is Secured!" idea or something. Dunno. Will probably open the floor up for this.

would like to see an ignore person option, instead of having to turn global chat completely off just to ignore some who seem to think they can use global chat to amuse themselves!

My idea is if we have a page in guild that calls "Titan Rewards" but we rarely use it. Its very common that guilds or even players solo secure a titan by draining more than 50% from hp and then just let the titan there untill someone do the rest of the job. Actually that is fair as they won more kills than any other guild/player but what would happend if the only way to obtain the Epic item from each Titan would be by exchanging TKPS for them and not by 50% kills on each titan? I know we have a titan cooldown so we prevent from guilds constantly "farm" a titan but i think if we need to use the TKPS, everyone would fight titans untill dead, we would need to work a bit more but later at all the guild would recive the cherished epic.

 

 

Titan items seem to be coming into the AH now at a slower rate than previously. Maybe that's because less folk are hunting them and maybe it's because guilds are racing to a 50% + 1 kill secure and no-one else wants to do the "leg-work" for them to get their drop.

 

I had a thread http://forums.hunted...showtopic=58991 detailing possible solutions to the titan issue which got a fair amount of feedback.

 

My personal viewpoint is that there should be a "use it or lose it" decay built in somehow. Thinking about it, this could be implemented 1 of 2 ways ..

 

a ) The titan regenerates HP once a secure has been made and, if it recovers 50% of it's lost HP it despawns and the securing guild get nothing (nor do any other hunters get any TKP) 

 

b ) The titan regenerates slowly and if 1 week passes after the secure without it being killed, it simply vanishes, again with no-one getting a drop or TKP

 

Another option, that would assist both the above suggestions is making TKP a more attractive option.Other than seasonal titans, most require between 3.4 and 3.75 times the amount of kills through TKP than they do through a secure. Whilst I appreciate that a secure is the ideal way to get a drop, the TKP could easily be lowered to 2.5 or even 2.0 times the amount of kills.

 

All options would, I think, boost Titan activity  ..
