#954354 Calling All Fragment Farmers (and Buyers)

Posted by ironlegs on 03 December 2015 - 17:24

I will also add my 2 cents this is a great start to a very needed topic which i hope will soon be adding some useful hunting tips and farming locations for best drop rates to help the farmers get the best bang for their stam buck so to speak. With that said,

I also buy common frag items from the auction house at less than 3k per frag and will often buy everything at 2.5 or lower per frag . My composing level is now 49 and will need more common items to make it to lvl 60. I also have 200 backpack slots open

for items at most times, and always when i am online .  Thanks WWWolf this is a great idea .

#954343 Its all TOM's fault

We'll not be doing a Triple XP Event again. It was too much.

You can blame TOM for that.

#954319 Update v2.85

Posted by yotwehc on 03 December 2015 - 03:22

I'm going to test it tonight and post my results. Pre and post. Then someone else can figure out how it all adds up. Too much Maths for me.

ok you maths people...

Pride 200

Find item 800 with duration 75 minutes

Buff duration after pride: 112 minutes and 20 secs

Find item 1000 with duration 120 minutes

Buff duration after pride: 157 minutes and 20 secs

seems it adds 37 minutes and 20 secs

let the number crunching begin

Got it!:

Diamond x 3 x 2.0 = 6

Ruby x 2 x 1.8 = 3.6

Crystal x 1 x 1.6 = 1.6

Gold x 4 x 1.4 = 5.6

Silver x 3 x 1.2 = 3.6

Bronze x 2 x 1.0 = 2.0

TOTAL = 22.4 (multiplier)

Pride lvl 200 x 0.5 secs x 22.4 = 2,240 secs = 37 minutes and 20 seconds!

I need a beer now...

What 2x XP event? ;)

lmao... That is exactly why I always say "supposed double XP event".

I wonder if Hoof meant to say that it would actually be a triple this year *claps hand over mouth".

Not a suggestion, btw.

@cajun... great job!

#952466 Guild Upgrade Flash Sales

I'll bring the idea to Hoofmaster. See what he thinks.

#952432 Guild Upgrade Flash Sales

Posted by EpicPiety on 01 November 2015 - 21:24

I really liked the addition of "Flash Sales" i really think they should become a permanent part of the game (if they haven't already). It came across my mind earlier that maybe this can also be extended to guild upgrades as well. It will be very beneficial for up and starting guilds and even long standing guilds. If guild store/guild structures/max members etc went on sale i can see it being very beneficial... Thoughts...Ideas...Criticism...??? I'd like to hear what the community thinks.

#952532 New "Elemental" Titan

Posted by cramble27 on 02 November 2015 - 23:59

So in discussing the seasonal titans, there was a suggesting of making a titan that had personal TKP instead of guild TKP. It occurred to me, that the Elemental Titans are basically set up that way, albeit within a quest, so TKP is not used.

So, I think it would be cool to have some new titans that are similar to the Elemental ones.  They could just be higher level Elementals, so an extension of what is already there just higher level, or they could be completely new in some way so as to be new for everyone.

I have also always envisioned a titan that slowly moves across the screen for the duration it is spawned.  So it could start at one side of the screen, and then when so many kills are made or so much time has passed, it moves one square.  Once it reaches the other side of the screen, it is gone (maybe to just be spawned somewhere else or maybe totally dead, could be set up in a lot of ways).  This feature would really help those who do not have fast connections.

(As an aside, I originally thought of this idea but for guilds, with some restriction like you need at least 4 members on the titan to be able to kill it, but I realize that would make it very difficult for smaller or less active guilds.  But then again, not every feature of this game has to be available to everyone, but is probably a different debate)

Anyway, I hope this thread can lead to some creative discussion.  A big item to discuss is what the reward for killing the titan is.  Could be an epic item, or could even be an epic chest.  Could be bound or unbound.  If several titans are created, could be resources which are used to create something.

#952690 FS Charity Shop?

Charity shop? I'd just rather have Zorg "woopsie" again and refill everyone's stamina. Doooo it! ;)

Everybody wins!

#952682 FS Charity Shop?

First, I'd like to thank row for thinking about others. It's refreshing.

That said, there are a lot of good points in this thread that I agree with even though some of them directly contradict each other.

I get annoyed watching players comment that the recent rewards are completely useless because they or their Guildies can compose at higher levels. I just roll my eyes and think of a group of friends that entered the game and started a Guild. They probably can't.

To be clear, this isn't what row is saying. Row is simply looking for a way to give those pots that we might not use to someone that could appreciate them. I think it's important to realize that there are players out there that do appreciate them. Heck, I do... but hey, I'm a guy that used Blood Ketchup for the AM for a long time after I could compose higher levels of the buff, lol.

In any case, I'm swaying more towards a "no" on this idea, though I like the heartfelt place it's coming from.

I think the GE pots are rewards based on effort. I don't think it's a good idea for players (even a reduced base) to be able to get them for free because of the fact that this is a game. Unlike recipients from a charity, any player in game can get them. It's more important to teach players how to get them.

As for HCS gifts, no, never. Everyone in game gets the gifts for free with zero effort. If they come in after, they'll get them later.

Regardless, row... even though I'm leaning towards the no section, I really liked the reason for the creation of this post. For what it's worth. (o0

#952589 FS Charity Shop?

As my composing level gets higher, I find myself beginning to find that some of the bound potion rewards are no longer of any use to me.

I would really like to donate them to new players, to help them enjoy their start to the game more (and hopefully to help them get hooked!), but at present there is no game mechanic to let me do this.

I agree that we shouldn't be able to sell these potions. I also understand that we can't just give them away, because that wold lead to people exchanging gifts.

So I wondered: what if HCS established a charity shop where we could donate our bound potions, and players that meet HCS' criteria (below level n; been playing for less than m days; have not received charity for x days; or ...) can come to receive (or purchase at a heavily subsidised rate) a donated bound potion?

The potion would, of course, need to be bound to the new recipient.
