The bronze feels special, almost extra romantic, especially when matched with the uncommon bracelet. On wrist, especially with fall colors in the air, I think it's a great looking watch with a unique wrist presence.The same can be said for watches. What used to be a platform for design, notably in the 1960s and '70s, has become a predictable "luxury" focused machine, made to please the average consumer with absolutely no desire to step outside of the box. And when they do step outside of said box, I immediately wish they had remained firmly inside of the box because nobody asked for gargantuan, rainbow-inspired tattoo artist collaboration watches. Sigh.Leaving the F.P. Journe appointment, I saw several remarkable watches, reminding you that watch-spotting in Dubai is unlike anywhere else. Crime here is severely punished, so much so that theft is basically non-existent. That means gem-set watches and rare pieces like the ones that follow are wearable here, like nearly nowhere else (except maybe Monaco).
