It’s been awhile so has there been any resolution on reverting Dark Curse? I look forward to the reply.

Hoof is looking to revert Dark Curse either today or early next week  :) We will let everyone know when this is done!

 

The new roadmap will also be available next week as well  :D

I think the concept for the Loyalty Potions itself is getting a bit out of hand, imo should offer two things:

 

1 - Offer one more reason for those who can donate, to donate more. (aka big pots with high cost)

 

2 - For those who can't afford to donate, offer enough of a reward to keep them logging in everyday, but not enough to create a conflict between other markets. (aka medium pots with low cost)

The prices and level for the loyalty potions should consider those two groups I believe, and offer stuff like a 'AL350, LIB350, CSV350, LF650, DBL750' for something like 150 Tokens (just an example), things that give someone starting the game a reason to stay playing it.....But also offer unique potions like DBL5000 for 2000 Tokens for those who donated enough to make use of those tokens.

A few things that I have in mind:

 

1 - Offer a Distil 100 for a cheap price like 25 Tokens.

 

2 - Global Booster potions shouldn't be so expensive, eventho the reasons behind why someone goes for a high kill count are for their own goals, they're still helping the comunnity to achieve the general goal and they shouldn't be 'penalized' by the high costs...And honestly, it would just change the time they leave the auto-reload tab open, not much else.

 

3 - Offer upgrades that are not potions, with a cap, like the Gold Upgrades section, nothing overpowered.

 

4 - Not offer anything essential (like AL, CSV, SH, BM,etc) with a level higher (or equal) than any non-GE Chest, people would just stop buying the Special Offer chests, which is against the whole idea of revamping the section to start with.

 

5 - Offer more medium level potions for cheap prices (for levelling and PvP).

 

6 - For PvP potions focus on increasing the time to make the prices more reasonable.

 

7 - Change the Allegiance Tokens system to an incremental system every 7 days (like 5, 5, 5, 5, 10, 10, 15 - total 55 per week), but it resets back to day one if the person didn't log in.

Considering Arena is mainly won by the same 20-30 people or less, no more rewards should be added at this point. 

 

Why didnt  think of it if more rewards added more players will join it ? 

You are asking to let an aspect to die because you don't want to play it, the 20-30 players working for their wins by buying all gears and forging their gears to play arena and thats not enough to win you have to work out your brain to win! which is called " playing a Game".

lots of players can play arena but stopped...

 

 

I would say add new rewards to PvP ladder and more players will join it ! but at certain ranges there is exploit where 1 player active can win rewards without working for it....I hope this will be fixed !

 

 

Anyway i think HCs are looking for our idea's about these pots not our ideas where to put these pots as reward and no need to argue if someone make suggestion , i'm sure HCs have the common sense even they don't play the game they can understand  players suggestions specially the ones who give logical explanations

Tweak ew. Ep suggested 800 which works and doesn't break bazaar 1k.


Add pride 250 or 300 to Alchemist Pot. ( since distil was removed )



Change brew to 400. Not epic, but still very handy. Tokens will be used and arena while effected will still be useful.

Maybe tweak the specific stat boosting pots ( shield wall defensive aura, armor boost layered armor) to 300? Below composed and eggs, but still worth using to a degree. But improve duration too please.

and Bm300 from Arena shop next option we dont need to kill this

Frankly the problem with arena is much bigger. Not adding BM500 is just temporary, there should be other demanded things in arena aside from BM.

 

Hoping for an arena rework/overhaul sometime soon, off topic but i hope cows put this on their next Roadmap

^ Edited these higher, they seem high but trust me they are not going to account for much given the way these buffs work.

I really think a good thing would be to take advantage of duration from time to time. We don't always need a better potion with higher skills... However a worse potion with higher duration could be taken just as well for a fair few.

Fury/Berserk/Dark Curse we already have as common potions as well. Why not just make this Force Shield/Absorb/Great Vigor at level 300? or at least any Defense tree buffs?
E. Weapon at 200 is bad considering we have EW 1000 for 2.4k at bazaar at times. How about ... Enchant ARMOR 1000 > :)

Please do not add distil 250, please it's going to break the game. Distil doesn't need to go any higher than zombie brew at 150.

Why was the find player not updated to go with the attack player to easily show what targets you had and who could attack you? Right now Find Player still is the +/-10 levels while the attack player shows what ever your range is.

The duration between Arena Tournament rounds has now been dropped from 10 minutes to 5. We hope you like the update. :)

Dear Grim,

 

I am sad. Many arena players are sad too.

For more than a decade the Arena has been our reason for logging in to Fallen Sword. But the lake is dry and the fish are dying.

 

Changing the waiting time from 10 minutes to 5 minutes between rounds in a tournament, is like giving a grizzly bear 2 sardines in stead of 1, while a grizzly bear eats salmon. If the problem is in the database, please don't compromise the player experience by taking the easiest programming route. 

 

Please listen to Pointyhair, because he speaks both your language on database stuff and our language of the FS addicts.

Please listen to Shindrak, because he has made the Arena his PhD. Shindrak is the Magnus Carlsen of the FS Arena. The chess community listens to Magnus Carlsen. The FS community listens to Shindrak.

 

At the minimum, what the community really wants to hear is that HCS is working on bringing back the smoother experience of the Arena with its varied level spawns and its quick and easy tournament results. Even if this means as "a long term goal".

 

Sardines are for stray cats who haven't tasted salmon.

We are grizzly bears. Rrrrawwr.  ;)
