I do believe the thread listed previous was for a vanity item.    I would like the pet be item you get doing a quest and I like to see a dragon for a pet. 

 

I guess when hcs staff comes in they can state if they will take a look into having a pet or not, but until then I think everybody should throw in some ideas in this thread. We need players wanting to play the game and trying something new does not hurt.  I will add there have been threads interested in doing random quests on an individual project as well. 

 

I wonder how fun it would be to have a top list on the meanest dragon pet lmao.  :P

 

ooooh, mean dragons, i would build a VERY mean dragon :P

the logic is... there shouldnt be arguement... do away with any places cheating can exist then it wont take birth ;)

 

siding with luis, cheaters can burn.... if caught :)

 

 

edit: people need to be ready for and take a kick up the bum sometimes or avoid letting it happen ;)

helmet/ring OR shield/ring with high damage and some defense if it hasnt been said already BG, above lvl 2k, in fairness to defense players :)

 

ripped through two players with ease and the third guy had to last 9 fatigues to get me so he was very lucky :)

I think PvP Ladder Resources should remain BOUND !!!

afterall we want to draw activity to the PvP ladder !!!

BOUND & the PvP ladder rewards are "worth" getting then players will be "forced" to participate & compete smile.png

IF they are UNbound then players can just buy them from AH => the same FEW PvP ladder participants will only stay on the PvP ladder selling the PvP Ladder Resources in AH !!!

 

we currently have 3 options in the community poll

  • yes
  • no
  • don't mind

I think the "don't mind" option from grim is a good one because:

  • it does not count towards the "yes" or "no" !!!
  • players who do not participate in those aspects / do not mind / do not care have this option to choose !!! better for those players to choose the "don't mind" than randomly picking "yes" or "no"

 

 

i think they might be better bound, the resources, just have anything inventable unbound? i dont think its forcing anyway, its kinda like, come over here and play, enjoy the ladder with me?

 

 

edit: i misinterpreted then, i read it from opposite end as in how players say they are forced rather than your end saying its not forcing :P

I don't think BigGrim mean't the already powerful potions - I'll take a look over it with him before we make any changes tho!

 

he wouldve meant ring, rune, boots and ammy and MAYBE helm, id make em 225, 200 isnt far off the 150's in Guild RP now so dont wanna kill scavengers :)

Without a major change to how the code work's this wouldn't really be viable to do. However I did have another thought. In a similar way to how the Flash Sales work, we could look at maybe having mini-events that happen more frequently - for example +5% XP for 24 hours etc.

 

ty for reply hoof, mini events are fun, some flash sales may not be as popular but some will be HUGE!

 

edit: read that too quick ... +5% xp for 24 hours is quite cool indeed ;)

I just finished saying how HCS should do their own thing, hoof said things are fine and he likes input so...

 

I made an fsbox post which got a few comments so ill put a poll here just for fun :)

 

Thought is every week on a day our stam gain is doubled for 24 hours, a lil spice, a little more reason to be active one day, a little something :)

HCS please stop giving TED absolutely everything they ask for.

 

They didn't want a change to the PvP ladder because they flooded it and smashed the crap out of everyone who joined (that in itself isn't against any game rules.)

When you changed it, they wanted it changed back because they wouldn't then be able to use their famed 'PvP' rules to bash anyone who looked at them sideways.

Then you gave sliding scales on Prestige, which I'm pretty sure they championed the idea of.

Then giving stam gain on PvP gear

Now making resources unbound because they have tons from the first point I made.

 

In short every update in the last 3 months has been pushed by them.

 

I liked some of the new PvP changes, I think you should have done Beta testing to work it all out rather than a wholesale change then when it was complained about by 'some' you changed it back totally rather than making any adjustments.

 

I guess some of the blame can be attributed to the rest of the community as nowhere near as many outside of TED and their friends post on here to give their opinion.  And when they do, multiple TED players attempt to disrepute the idea or views as swiftly as possible.

 

You're banging the remaining nails in the coffin HCS.

if i was playing the ladder itd be better to tackle multiple guildmates for tactical reasons, they are at disadvantage, xp wise if someone at eoc cant gain back the xp then id be very suprised, at most youd prob lose a level an hour, average 12 levels a day prob at worst IF and i stress IF they really didnt like you, could be active and you didnt stay majorly buffed, thats with 10ish guys/gals hitting you, if you are eoc you prob know how to use big pots and champs by now, there would be some cases of it being too overwhelming in fairness but seriously... for most it isnt THAT bad when content comes out mostly bi monthly or longer ;)

Not sure how I get dragged into that one but I wouldn't term it input, it's more of a critique or review of HCS' work. First, as players we have screamed for years that this or that needed some upgrading. Although, for the last couple years(I'll be nice) coding development lagged way behind. Nothing of substance has really been kept updated. Band aid here, there sure. Now it's to the point the whole house needs to be remodeled. Arena again, GvGs again, SEs, etc etc. That takes yep $$$ time of the Hoof. That's not easy in a small growing company.

 

id say you could have been nicer, i could be harsher as there was horendous delays and much not implemented BUT where i mean is every little instance of anything that could have been tweaked by a player almost has, its no longer hoof's magical creation anymore, it is the fallensword it has become, i roped you in cos you have been a firm advocate of the lack of hoof's involvement in recent times, what id like to see is a detachment from so much player input, where i would have advocated like your resonance IS IF all these years only "knowledgable" players had of been listened to over whims, creativeness and "smartness" of the many.

Very true, unfortunately. I was actually thinking of this the other day. The 2-stat, 2 item sets have made most other sets in the game pretty useless. Don't remember the last set introduced that wasn't a 2-stat set. Omacaz has crashed the markets of so many inventable items and now I fear of what will happen over this.

 

Cows, you need to stop relying solely on what a few players on the forums want. Look what happened with the PvP seasons. WE voted (I didn't but the game as a whole did) to go back to the ladder. Now there's maybe <100 players spread across all levels partaking in the ladder. Tokens are worth pennies and now... well look at the mess we're in lol.

 

It's okay for a few players, who regularly post on the forums, to agree on an idea. But that doesn't mean it's the ideal situation for the game.

 

yep, every kid likes candy but is candy good if voted for, put your foot down more hcs, make a decision and stick with it, people will crumble, grow to like it or leave, probably happen either way but at least youll have self respect, in most cases that is applicable and right :)

the thing with the durability is 50 looks small, on average you prob dont make more than 10 or 15 hits on the average ladder i play pretty much at the max, then how many ladders would u need to finish first in to replace it is the question, how quickly on average would it bust, prob need a few maths guys to give an average to see if 50 is practical when used via ladder, you would wanna replace it before it busts in most cases :)

To a certain extent all of these topics are related. Part of the shortsightedness is viewing topics individually and not how they are interconnect and have impacts on all parts of the game. My comment was at least constructive feedback if not exactly on topic of new content, it certainly relates to the aspect of in game potions and how they affect players and guilds.

 

hmmm, what can i comment on in this thread to hide my mention of how your attitude rocks at times spider, always inspired by the 'i will not lay down and surrender mindset' hmmm, another quote maybe...

 

 

I would like to see a brew master potion in there. Weaker than arena of course. Maybe 200 or 225? Price 2-5 tokens

 

this will come across negative but if you look at arena shop its a conglomerated mess of lots of "stuff"... doing same with ladder rewards page will make it unsightly also, should keep that in mind :D :P

it is true BG, i tried some composing pots and its consuming 100's of LE frags almost hourly, LE frags seem to be taking the biggest hit via my stash, they are hard to replace, over the long run maybe composed pots wont be so heavily used, i dont know.

 

 

edit: not to bring composing into this again, purely to show the dynamic of resource consumption, i farm globals and global critters plus occassional open frag stashes from realm chests, i make pots for guild obv but this is how LE looks after what i do so u can see resources can come crumbling ... common 92,428, rare 176,766, unique 50,041, LE 4,210, crystal 15,837, SE 9,221 :)

 

edit: how about some small frag stashes as rewards, pref LE :)
