There is another side to the issue that you appear to be missing.  Without Traveling Composers, some guilds have no access to these potions.  Putting a stop to the Traveling Composing would give those few guilds with high-level composers a considerable advantage...

Hey there everyone.

 

Sorry for the quiet this past week. I've been off with something flu-like which just kicked my ass. Feeling better now though.

 

Just to let you all know, we've got another content coming next week with a bit of luck, the top 3 contributors have been contacted regarding their LE design prize and we'll look to getting those sorted out once the winners have had a good think about them.

 

We'll also be posting about what we'll be doing with the next Dev Update for the game next week.

Only downside to releasing chests within the game through the realms is us higher level players have more access to more realms and more of those chests. You would have to limit us in someway to make it fair to the lower levels, and those with less stamina. Plus it would need to be something they could code quickly. 

 

 

You can make it part of a quest and then it would be limited(being a seasonal quest), as a reward for completion you could get lets just say 2-3 keys(or tie the keys into the global with tier qualification, having to talk to the quest giver to get the keys unlocked for the selected tiers) and access to a vault of chest where you can choose between a few chests all with their own random skill potions, frag stashes, arena token stash, or even a ladder token stash then every playing style has a chance to win something they could actually use. 

 

For instance,

 

Open Frag chest for a random frag reward(Frag number and type would be random)

Open Arena chest for random token stash(Amount of tokens would be random)

Open Ladder chest(Similar to arena chest tokens would be random)

 

And you would be able to use all your keys on one chest(reward per key), or select between the different types. 

One draw back would be the tokens and being able to profit off them, but if they are not outrageous in the amount they give it would be ok... since you can profit off of skill potions through hunting, farming, titan hunting or what have you. I guess it would just depend on your outlook on that kind of matter.

 

You can make the qualification for the quest so that the person must qualify for the minimum amount of global kills in order to start the quest(2k kills minimum something simple or make them count as 2 kills per kill). Killing the Mutated Egg(Global creature), which could be considered an egg hunt just hunting bad eggs. New item for killing the new globals could be an Egg Beater tongue.png. You can either make it to where you get 1 key for tier 1(bronze), 2 keys for tier 3(gold), and 3 keys for tier 5(ruby) qualification. Or you just get all 3 keys or whatever for just qualifying.

 

 

 

 

But with some special chests in the future i would like to see something similar to the freedom we have with composing, select you own buffs for your chest from a predetermined selection of buffs and durations of them from HCS. Right now we are able to select between potions, so it would be the same concept you would just frankenstein your own special potion. That could save people from having to overlap 2 or 3 chests to get their desired combination as they have been doing. Right now the global potions are maxed at 6 skills, we can keep that just add more buffs to the mix(like our 2k+ buffs with levels within reason). But this thought may have to be for another day and a different forum postwink.png

The Easter Chest Keys could be made using Resources dropped from the Global Event mobs, that would increase the community kills on the event.

And I like the idea of 1 Easter Chest each 10 levels (randomized), would be 290ish Easter Chests.

That is a great idea :)

 

With a spawn rate of 1 per hour? and despawn rate of 1 hour?

 

Seems fair :)

 

 

Good God, the normal chests have needed some TLC for ages, so this is yet another suggestion that sounds great!

That said (and I couldn't help it)... sounds like an interesting idea LJ. I especially like the the idea of them being extremely nerfed pots with a gold sink for the community. More of an idea for us to have fun with the novelty with no real effect beyond us having some fun. 

 

As an evil added bonus, I might suggest a double composing XP pot in the Easter basket mix. I'd hope that calcs would work for it to be just one hour with a 150 distil max of two. 

 

Again, I did say "evil"... let the bunnies roll.

The FS community has enough powerful potions Egami, this Easter Chest idea is meant to be for fun, and to encourage the players to take part in this little Treasure Hunt, it can be shown in the 'Achievements' section on the profile, which has been '[Coming soon...]' for years now :) And another composing event would be fun too xD

 

 

Sounds kind of like how they've been doing event chests in Eldevin, and most people hate it. But who knows, maybe some Fallen Swordians might like it.  <_<

 

The reason it's not popular in Eldevin is because the chests aren't too hard to get, but the keys take many many hours of grinding event creatures to get one, or you buy one with Eldevin Points, so it's pretty much a pay event unless you have hours to dedicate to it. If the FS team could come up with a way to improve on this (find a way to not just be an event for those who pay), then maybe.

 

As I told Egami, this is solely meant for fun, the key doesn't need to be too expensive or difficult to get, just a few Loyalty Points or gold, and, after some thinking, I remembered the 'Achievements' section on every Players Profile, that has been '[Coming Soon...]' for a long time now, maybe the cows can make an achievement called 'Bunny Treasure' or something that which will be shown on players' profiles as a form of motivation :)

 

 

An easy way - well, a FAIR way - would just be to throw "x" amount of keys in a container (i.e. one key in one container) and you find them in the realms, on randomised maps (not unlike the existing chests). That way everyone has the same chance to look for one or not.

 

The corresponding chest could be bought in the AH for 1g (with randomised contents so as not to give all the surprises away) and the keys bound to prevent them being sold on.

 

BUT, the containers with the keys REMAIN active until found, regardless of how long that takes, and the chests in the AH remain for the same duration.

 

That sounds fair to me ?

 

That sounds like a really good idea, it won't be fair on, for example, a level 200 to have any less chance of finding a chest than a level 2000, and the chest locations should be completely random :)

 

I like that idea as much as I like the little easter basket.  :) That brought back many happy memories.  Treasure hunts are fun.

To start this Topic, I'd like to apologise to anyone who might have suggested an idea like this before, I am not trying to steal anyone else's idea, and any ideas that are the same are a sheer coincidence. I also have no idea how the community will react to this, and I would like to apologise for any inconvenience or arguments stirred by this post.

 

What if this Easter, the Cows introduce a special event, they release a special Key and spread 100 Limited Edition Easter-Themed Chests across all the realms. The chests will give special Easter-Themed potions, which don't need to be out of this world, something new like Perfection 125 or maybe even a few new single Crystalline items or something like that.

yotwehc understood my main point of the suggestion.

 

If you go through each guilds' log and focus on GvG, you will find the same attacking guilds because of easy RP.

This scenario is being played over and over:

An attacking guild's member initiated the GvG where 1-3 of their lower level members have multiple easy targets in the defending guild.

The attacking guild has the following advantages:

  1. Multiple easy defenseless targets
  2. Defending guild doesn't have a chance to counter or push back
  3. If defending guild counters, most of the attacking guild's members are buffed
  4. If defending guild buffs the targets, just wait until the buffs run out of time.  This is where my proposal comes into play to give the defending guild the incentive and chance to push back the attacking guild.

The attacking guild has NO disadvantages.

 

The defending guild has the following disadvantages:

  1. They can't counter or push back right away because the attackers are fully buffed
  2. The number of targets are limited
  3. There is no incentive to counter or push back the GvG

The defending guild has NO advantages.

  • With my proposal, the defending guild has 1 advantage and incentive to counter.

 

Actually most of what you say is an advantage for the Attacking guild is actually a disadvantage for them if they attack a vigilant defending guild. it is amazing how often a skilled defending guild will draw or win at worst. Most of the guilds that you describe as easy targets are the ones who log out when they see a gvg against them insteaad of buffing guildies based on the incoming attackers level.  the game is about them as individuals instead of about the guild.

Defending guilds advantages are that one person can complete all the hits...They also do not need to pay initiation fee's...Fair enough if you ask me. I ALWAYS retaliate because of said advantages.


Attacking guild disadvantage is essentially the reverse of the defending guilds advantage.

 

 

Also pretty sure defender's get bonus RP for a tie.

1) PVP Prestige Top Ranks.

 

There should be a Top Rank list for PVP prestige. Ive seen there are many other players as me, out there Hitting in anyway Ladder, Bounty, etc.  

 

2) PVP Prestige on GVG attacks.

 

Ive been in a lots of conflicts lately and have done over 300+ hits. I believe We should be getting Prestige for it. Ok the Guild is getting RP's, but players who undertake on any of the guild conflicts should be rewarded individually.

Both ideas are great. I'd like to add one. EVERY Ladder hit should gain Prestige. I'd split the difference btween BB 1 Prestige attacks worth 1 and Standard attacks worth 10 and say they should be worth 5. I think it's an added incentive to play the Ladder. There certainly needs more. Players lose xp and have earned the Prestige!
