You say it only costs 10k gold to create a level 200 potion.  I'm not sure where those you talked to got that number other than perhaps the cost of 1 Legendary Fragment but here is the real breakdown.

 

To compose a level 200 potion for 30 minutes it costs:

6000 Gold

10 Common Fragments

6 Rare

3 Unique

1 Legendary

 

For commons, the best rate I typically get is around 60 per fsp which is about 3333 gold each * 10 = over 30k gold.  I have yet to buy rare but lets be generous and say you can get 100 per FSP or 2k gold each * 6 = 12k gold.  Same goes for Unique - 2k * 3 = 6k gold.  As previously stated here, about the best rate you can buy Legendary Items is 20 per FSP or 10k gold each.

 

You are convoluting the real cost. The minimum cost of frags is nothing but FREE stam! So the cost of making single skill pots for 30mins, in gold, is actually only 6k. 4k less than the guesstimate that had been given. If you want to buy extra frags, sure go ahead and use the numbers you threw out. That is EXTRA.

I'll be damned then... LOL...Although i wouldn't consider attacking players or defending with composing "PvP"... It's alot different and better without :P.

I will have to do without soon. Need to lose more levels ;) and most of the players I attack don't require composed pots. Offline players are easy pickings. You have to admit, defending while both parties are online is a lot of fun. Too bad there is no mechanism for that.

All players can profit from Composing if they wish to. All they gotta do is compose.

All they gotta do is compose, you're right. Then guild hop around in order to sell their potions. I'm not sure that was the original intention of guild locking composed potions. In my opinion, it would greatly increase composing participation if you'd implement my suggestion of requiring a guild loyalty bronze medal in order to guild tag composed potions, or simply allow composing potions to be sold at the Auction House. A player should not have to guild hop in order to profit from this aspect of the game. Just my thoughts.

It's obvious because of where this thread has turned, there needs to be some serious discussion and possibly modifications to the newest potions that have overwhelmed the game! I request Hoof chime in and give the players his respectful and rational ideas about where the game is headed since we haven't had the privilege of his presence these past few months. This game needs the Hoof and we deserve some answers after nearly 10 years playing!

Naw they are already ridiculously powered.

Guess a good way to try and lessen the OP value of em is to use Spell Breaker/Leech with Reckoning and to swing.. I don't even have to win to break/leech the buffs.. Could start a GvG so I can do this every 2 minutes, 25 chances under an hour then I can do my hourly ladder hits...

Pvp ladder chest buffs are allowed to be leeched/broke.. Do composed potion buffs work the same way?
With the amount of attacks I can receive every hour, its brutal that they aren't protected from spell breaker and spell leech...


Composed buffs can be Leeched and Broken, yes.

I would have the entire staff work like crazy for 2-3 weeks to make MEANINGFUL updates to 1 of their games, then move on to the next game. make sure each game gets a little love to 1) inspire the player base; 2) keep up with updates; 3) address major issues in the game. 

 

Its not working for you guys to assign X person to X game for months and months. You need a surge of talent on A SPECIFIC game to get stuff done quickly and efficiently sometimes.

Composing allowed noobs to make some FSP and got rid of some useless gear. It had its benefits but if they come out with level 70 ... I will lose my mind if it effects existing skills in composing. If they want to add some new composing only skills, go for it. 
 
Activity is WAY down overall for this game and pvp ladder / pvping is close to, if not at, its lowest point ever in the game. I remember seeing 10-30 people easily in the ladder at any bracket at any given time of year in 2009-2011. Maybe 1 or 2 brackets have that kind of participating still ... even after more rewards were added to pvp ladder. I remember seeing 5-20 incoming gvgs every week into my guild. I would be lucky to see 2-3 in a month now. Used to be 1 page or more of RP items selling ... your lucky to see 1 listing of each RP item now. Do I need to give more examples? I hope not.
 
If you guys are happy with pvp activity numbers becoming terrible like that then I don't know what to tell you. I personally find that to be a failure, BUT its not impossible to turn it around.
 
A well thought out overhaul of the system to avoid abuses and focus on strategic use of current / future sets without a super reliance on overpowered buffs is the future of pvp in this game. 
 
This is what the OP had in mind.

Of Course shin wants to play arena v 2 without buffs He is an Arena expert, When I suggested arena have moves removed and have buffs instead his answer was opposite of mine (understandably) everyone seems to want the game dumbed down to cater to their laziness.

 

Nerf, nerf, nerf..  All of you that have them are still using them. lol

Well they are great I can now hunt without ew beserk fury enchant armor shield glove boots amulet or any other damage increasing buff and still get overkill to work 100% of the time. Meaning by using sh 400 plus I can get more xp per kill.I would be an idiot not too and your solution is for me to cease using an update that I and others have spent hundreds of millions gaining..and if we did not we would not be able to compete in playing all of the game.
