#958942 Fallensword Profit Guide (New Player Edition)

Posted by WWWolf on 12 February 2016 - 00:46

AL is not maxed until level 31...

If you happen to be in a guild that will buy your potions, you can max out Conserve at level 18 so you can make some profit then but very limited.

The Absolute earliest I would consider traveling is level 31 but you may have some difficulty selling your wares with so few maxed options unless you offer very low prices... You would have much better luck at level 37 with AM CoAt and CoDe maxed.

#958977 Code Update v2.86

Posted by yodamus on 12 February 2016 - 15:21

We aim to get some code updates out every two to three weeks or so.

what is the chance of getting the medals updated so that when they appear in the tavern rumors, these are medals that players have just earned..so that others can see what "active" other players have just accomplished, be able to send grats to those players, therefore making the community as a whole more friendly towards each other....also encourages players to get medals or better medals to make this page...would be great if the medals accomplished page was up to date with current date of the game....

and i also saw a titan spawn not on the hour- i think this would be a great change..should be random times..not just on the hour- keeps titan hunters on thieir toes..never know when one might appear.

but overall, very glad to hear that code updates will be more regular..keep up the good work

2 excellent updates

Is there any chance that the tavern rumor notification can take you to half way down the home page rather than to the top? (i.e. actually take you to the tavern rumors themselves)?

#958844 Helping out new guilds

Posted by Uncle Beg on 11 February 2016 - 04:29

If you have a new guild and need gears to start for level 1 - 700 members, you are in luck.

We are restructuring Bushido, along with cleaning up gears.

We have pieces and sets that are Fully Forged.

If you need gears, please let me know.

Gears will be giving away for FREE and/or at a DISCOUNT to be used NOT resell.

#958818 Guild Conflict Countdown

Posted by WWWolf on 10 February 2016 - 15:53

Currently, if you leave a guild during a conflict for whatever reason, the system prevents you from joining another guild until that conflict expires (even if it is completed before then). This is by design and in itself is not a problem.  The problem is, if you are not in the guild, you have no way of knowing when that time is.

If you try to accept an invite to another guild, the only information you get is:

INFORMATION

You cannot join a guild before the expiry time of the conflict initiated by your previous guild while you were a member.

Unless you were diligent in recording the end time of any conflicts before you left, you have to keep trying periodically until it lets you in.  Even if you were diligent, if someone initiated a conflict a second before you click "Leave Guild" you have absolutely no way of knowing.

If there was a countdown on the Join a Guild page or time-stamp in the above message as to when you can join the next guild, it would serve to alleviate a lot of frustration when switching guilds.

#958780 Small Effort for Game Wide Work(GA)

Posted by Undjuvion on 09 February 2016 - 13:34

It would be fairly easy to create a few icons and add 3 more guild achievements, they offer quite a small reward for the effort involved, adds more race.. and depth to a small feature which literally any can participate in, i would assume quite a few guilds have close to and or all of them, quite novel and from memory i think it has come up in a thread or two, most likely so reflecting emphasis probably :)

edit: tho not sure if many or any have the group attack one, for arguements sake :)

#958755 Fallensword Profit Guide (New Player Edition)

Posted by rowbeth on 08 February 2016 - 18:52

A good profit method for newer players is FS Shards and lately over the past year there has been a severe lack of videos and doable offers...Anyway you can contact the company asking why? There are NEVER videos... It's also not just me it's people from all parts of europe, all parts of US, and asia.

They more or less died out for me (UK) during the last couple of days of the first triple-shards event. Never more than a trickle ever since. Not even the usual surge around world sporting evens like the rugby and cricket world cups.

I realise this is all about advertisers seeing FS as a good market (more precisely about Matomy etc. convincing advertisers that FS is a good market). Maybe there will be a chance to push this again once the app comes out.

#958667 Gold Upgrades

Posted by RebornJedi on 07 February 2016 - 04:15

The cows could easily make more money by utilising FSP bonus events during XP, Scavenging, flash upgrades, and other events. Yet they surprisingly choose not to over the years.. They could also increase the amount of FSP given with money purchases in general instead of keeping the same amount they have had for almost a decade. This increase would get more players donating because the increased amount would be more worth it compared to buying other entertainment/game upgrades..

If the cows truly cared about balancing profit with rewarding their players and retaining players, then they should alter their marketing tactics and currency handlings..

...yes to more and increased gold upgrades per day. There are other ways to keep donations up while still letting game currency be used to upgrade characters

#958619 competitive Guild Medals

Posted by Windbattle on 06 February 2016 - 09:32

If any medals should be added, just a gvg medal for X wins.

Guild Achievements should be expanded to probably 10 or 15 things we can work as a group to achieve. I do like some of the suggestions in the OP but they should be achievements not medals. the cows are never going to accept guild medals ... that is why we have achievements in the first place. BG has stated as such dozens of times as well.

It seems the development team's focus right now is adding more content, keeping up with semi regular weekend events, and making sure the game runs smoothly. I can't say that is a bad priority list but we do need to PUSH the cows to go beyond that a little. It shouldn't take all their time to do those 3 things.

How about an expected release date for mobile? or more updates on that? Also, what ever happened to the epic quests that were suppose to be continued?

#958618 competitive Guild Medals

Posted by Gutie on 06 February 2016 - 09:24

We've got tons of medals as it is. We've got a barely started acheiviment system. The medal system we have now is fine. Just because some players want to rack up more medals doesn't mean the game needs anymore than it has. (People wanting an OP advantage with medal buff?) Concentrate more on rounding out existing content, or finally working on untouched projects like Achievements or revamping/accelerating lower content for mobile launch.

Player profiles look like a North Korean general's uniform as is. Keep working on the content for mobile app. This is completely NOT needed. Cows have a lot more important work that will benefit the game long term than more medals.

#958624 Increase your stamina beyond Epic Gears

Posted by Uncle Beg on 06 February 2016 - 16:53

Just sharing tips to help you improve your game.

Basic facts about stamina, you can learn more in your Character Upgrade:

Each character has Stamina Gain (SG), Current Stamina (CS), and Maximum Stamina (MS).

SG is the amount of stamina you get per hour.  It can be increased via character upgrades, guild structures, and wearing epic gears.

CS is the amount of stamina you have.  It increases at the rate of SG until you reach MSThis upgrade doesn't stay with your character forever.  CS can be greater than MS.

MS is the maximum stamina you can have when your status is ONLINE.  It can be increased via character upgrades, guild structures, and wearing normal and epic gears.

Without BUFFS, PlayerA has 5,000 MS and 100 SG with all upgrades, including gears.

Scenario 1:

After 10 hours, when PlayerA gets online, PlayerA has 1,000 CS / 5,000 MS.

Scenario 2:

After 50 hours or more, when PlayerA gets online, PlayerA has 5,000 CS / 5,000 MS.

Buffs will increase the MS because they affect the gears that PlayerA wears.

In Scenario 2, after the PlayerA got online, buffs will increase the MS but he/she has to wait for the CS to catch up to MS.

The BEST WAY is for someone to buff PlayerA BEFORE he/she gets online.  Then CS and MS are equal.

After PlayerA gets online, increasing CS can also be done.

These buffs will increase MS, assuming you are wearing gears that increase your MS:

Enchant Weapon, Iron Fist, Cursed Ring, Cursed Rune, Enchanted Armor, Enchant Shield, Epic Forge, Epic Craft

Enjoy!
