for those that were not in world chat earlier this morning, we should be getting another 25 level batch of content in about 2-4 weeks according to BG.


Yup. Trying to keep a good schedule of Content releases.

The idea is very good.

 

I have 1 major point about medals.

Let's make the medals = efforts.

What is the point of getting a WIN in GvG when your targets can't defend because they were gearless and/or don't have buffs.

 

I would like live events/competitions where all participants must be online.

 

Just my thoughts.

I think a new buff could create some excitment over the game, something like this:

(btw, this is JUST AN EXAMPLE):

Single Force:
+0,01% per point added to attack and damage for each piece of equipped gear that's not part of a set.
(Would be 31,5% bonus with a Single Force 350 and 9 pieces of gear not part of any set)

I don't know if the numbers are right or how that would work for each range, but I think that could create a new challenge for us, to balance CoA x Single Force, of course, SH, KE, AB and SW would make a huge difference, but if HCS decide to give value to non-set items, that could be a way to start it, and bring a new light into the game.

I wish Hoof would hurry up and finish with the mobile platform so that he can set aside some time to deal with real issues current players face in FS!

 

There's a misconception by some that super pots from Composing, the Ladder and Global events should be revoked or omitted. That's, at least, not what I'm proposing. Nerfing the stat changing skills that give players unnecessary God-like numbers that break the game is what I'm focused on changing. Donation pots are NOT included. I'd like some of the game returned to FS. Stat changing skills like KE, DC, SH CA, CD and there are others have simply broken the game. There's no problem with having AL, Conserve, and other non stat effecting skills of any level. But please, I'd like to see the game fixed please!

 

What is most troublesome is the fact that players have been commenting on this subject for 20 days now without a single peep from anyone at HCS. The "we're waiting for the thread to play out" is tiresome and careless.

I'm not one using OP stuff all that much.

 

That is saved for special things, (unsolicited spanking, not into that you know) and is used or that and events. :)

 

I think that if people that are using those OP things stopped using those OP things the game might become more of a challenge for them, then they would not need to try and make it  more challenging for me.

 

I'm fine with things just the way they are. :)

 

If they are still in the game, then people with access to them are, of course, going to continue using them to maintain their position in game.

 

Saying for players to stop using them, whilst others continue to use them is kind of like asking Lewis Hamilton to drive a skoda whilst everyone else in the race drives an F1 car ... and still expecting him to place on the podium ...

Structures may not be worth the gold, but it still gives you a huge edge in the long run then a guild with low level structures. And I been in my guild since it's creation, you haven't, you got to the top with the help of others which is perfectly fine if you weren't sitting here trying to justify making the game harder for people who don't want to feed off others success. It would make more sense removing what was added to make the game easier then it would be to add diffuculty to it. It's a balancing act and I don't think adding difficulty is going to bold well for those who don't buy fsps. No game you should be forced to buy premium currency or join a guild to be able to play the game.

 

1. No-one is saying you should be forced to buy fsps. There are countless players in the game who take great pride (misplaced, I think, but that's a different story) in never having spent a penny on the game.

 

2. Most structures ARE worthless. A lot of guilds have all the structures because noobs think that "structures = success" - they couldn't be further from the truth. There are a few essentials, but most are luxuries at best and useless at worst.

 

3. Removing stuff that made the game easier is the scenario that most people seem to be objecting to so far

LL175, reck 175,   FI1000,  boosted only by a lesser distil, brew master and extend both at 175 or whatever mine are at.

 

 

Anything else is OP. :P

 

 

Umm, isn't that the whole point we're making about over-powered potions ? ;)

With regards to the arguments of us complaining while being in a top tier guild with everything provided for us.

 

If you think that applies to me, well...

 

I have always bought my own things, discovered creature stats for myself, created my own hunting setups etc etc etc.

 

I don't have all of the structures (which if you actually looked into, you' realise they are mostly garbage and aren't worth the gold you pay for them) I can't have relics the game doesn't allow it.

 

Yet I still think the game is in need of a serious challenge revamp.

To answer your question Egami, yes I actually believe adding back some challenges to the game (in everything, not just levelling) will make more people WANT to play.

 

You get no sense of achievement without a challenge to overcome.

 

Sense of achievement = Happy players.

Leaving any of the levels unbalanced works against player retention from those levels.

If gamers aren't being challenged, they will not maintain the same level of participation.

 

If a player is finding the game difficult now, while at the same time having easy access to the higher level composing potions than they cannot be a gauge, they are ether lazy (too used to being told what to wear and when to wear it) or they simply do not WANT challenge.

 

Back when the game didn't consist of almost 3,000 levels of mindless pot up and easily 1-hit everything out there, it had a much healthier player base. Both in regards to sheer numbers AND the mindset of said players.

 

Some of the things that come out of players minds these days is quite frankly plain sickening.
