Very sad that the vocal minority have got their way again.

The first 5 pages were of people arguing against it. There was practically no one arguing FOR it. Frankly, it made sense.

Some players started fleeing of Arena due to long waiting time between rounds, like really.. 10 mins to 5 mins to 15 mins for every time the game lagging Arena players taking the punishment !

This problem has already been reported but I'll endeavour to make it more of a priority.

The following creatures have been spotted stalking the Realms! The heroes have to step up and defend the innocents!
 
Frost Dragon (Legendary)

The Scrolls of Lore describe the elegant yet deadly Frost Dragons as non-aligned guardians of ancient treasures. These magnificently ancient beasts make the coldest and most inhospitable places their lairs, sleeping deep in icy caves with their treasure. To seek out a Frost Dragon is suicide, the ice hard scales upon its body are all but impervious to attack and its frozen breath can freeze a man solid in seconds.

Zaria the Vengeful (Legendary)

Zaria the Vengeful is a terrifying spirit who has been attacking all in her path in a bitter rage. Never-the-less she is a victim herself. Murdered by the evil Doctor Morbidstein wasn't bad enough. He went on to use her corpse in the creation of his masterpiece. His Bride. Will you help put Zaria to her eternal rest and end her suffering?

Bishamon Terror from the Deep (Legendary)

The giant creature known in legend as Bishamon the Terror of the Deep, has moved onto the land from the depths of the sea to look for new food as, in it's greed, it has nearly exhausted the local sea coast of fish, whales and seals. The Bishamon eats anything and everything it sees and is causing wide spread famine as well as death as it devours its way over the lands.

The Banshee of Dunale (Legendary)

The Banshee of Dunale is a creature who's coming into this plain of existence heralds a great doom that the Banshee herself will cause. What this great doom will be is unknown but it would be wise to send this being back to whence it came before it can complete the task.

Tarbida (Legendary)

The evil being Tarbida has dwelt beneath the world for an age having been trapped in tunnels by the Elves. Now Tarbida has found a way out and now the creature has decided that it is time to come back to the surface and teach the peoples of the world the true meaning of suffering and pain once again.

Night Wyvern (Legendary)

The Bride of Morbidstein (Legendary)

The culmination of Doctor Morbidsteins evil pacts and experiments, the Bride is an unholy construct, created from many unfortunate victims (including the tragic Zaria). A mighty opponent, she stands as a testament to a misguided intellect of terrifying scale. She must be destroyed at all costs.

Marshman of Morbidstein (Legendary)

The Marshman of Morbidstein is a foul beast that was once but a pet tadpole in Dr Morbidsteins lab. It was the only thing he cared for not to experiment on. However tragedy struck when the Tadpole was spilled down a drain by one of the Dr's brainless servants and ended up in a toxic swamp. The Tadpole grew in the swamp and became a dangerous mutant aquatic beast that to this day is still loyal to its master.

Otaktay the Inviolate (Legendary)

Otakay the Inviolate comes from the west river area. He roams the open plains ravaging all that make claim to his land. He is vengeance incarnate for all the wrongs that have ever been inflicted upon his people!

The Valgotic Dwarves have not been idle since the destruction of the abominable Doom Maw. Further refinement of their considerable Golem technology, the Golem Engine is a formidable addition to the Valgotic arsenal. This monstrous defensive golem reacts to attack by replicating itself, though this does weaken each new Golem as whatever demonic entity is originally bound to each newborn golem splits the demons soul fire. The blazing red runes in each golems skin glows a little duller. This is seen as an acceptable means of fuelling these new Golems as they have to bind less demons to their original golem stock!

When he awoke, he felt naught but overwhelming power. No pain, no emotions, only an insatiable desire to see blood. Caldrax's only urge was to stalk the most powerful warriors in the land and kill them in combat. Submission isn’t enough, he shall paint the lands red with warrior blood. Bloodthirsty and violent, Caldrex is the ultimate opponent.

Jebat was regarded as one of the greatest warriors in the realm. Together with his childhood friends, they served their King with absolute and unfaltering loyalty. After one of his friends being accused of having an illicit affair with one of the King's court stewardesses, he was put to death without trial for the offence. The King then bestowed the rank of head of palace security upon Jebat. With this came an ancient magical weapon, believed to grant its wielder invulnerability. Jebat, believing his friend had been killed unjustly, decided to avenge his friend's death. This vengeance became a palace killing spree. Unable to calm his anger and hatred, he continues his amok in the realm.

Apologies just ran a test and AS is not additional per round, it is additional % multiplied by the rounds, so not exponential.  So if you use 30% AS you effectively get an additional 6 times the xp for hitting 20 rounds.  So AS 1000 (1250) would give you an additional 25 times the xp for hitting 20 rounds.

Distil should not be over 150 with the current pots we have available. Game breaking

 

AL/Con/Lib also don't need to be over 750 not good for the game whatsoever.

Alchemist Prized Potion. Loyalty:  750
 
Distil Level : 250 Duration : 120m
Brewing Master Level :  500 Duration : 120m

Please don't add any of these - At least not at record high levels like proposed.  :)

  • Leveling doesn't have to be faster than it is today (I like that I still have years of content to get through)
  • Distil 250 will make some buffs too damn good. You can solve this by capping certain buffs levels, but to be honest it's already super non-transparent which buffs are capped when.

no to all buffs that are higher than donation chests (epic), triple no to distil its game killer, no need for bigger distill than zbrew 150 ever. doubler 3k and 5k are ok to stay, global doublers too, just remove one 0 from cost

capping a buff is better than just reducing it.. can't believe dispel curse AND dark curse was reduced.. such a drastic move.. we talking about randomly halving one of the most used buffs that's been here for over a dozen years..

Lastly, we have made some adjustments to the skills Dispel Curse, Dark Curse, Balanced Attack, Balanced Defense and Shatter Armor. We will be offering an optional free skill reset as part of this update.

 
The changes are:
 
Dispel Curse: 0.1% chance per point that Dark Curse will not work against you (PvP only).
 
Dark Curse: 0.1% reduction per point to enemy Defense.

 

 

The Dispel Curse change is much appreciated, thank you.

 

Dark Curse nerf: First off, I don't understand why this change was made. Nobody, and I mean nobody, was asking for this change. Dark Curse was fine where it was. This change has made the following log happen every time when both people are fully buffed for PvP: Your combat with _______ was unresolved. Defense is now even more broken than before this change. Anyone running buffs in a defense heavy set is almost invincible. Because Dark Curse was nerfed, there is literally 0 counter to a max defense set. You can attempt to max out your attack but it will end in the same log message: Your combat with _______ was unresolved. This change has turned PvP into who can get the highest defense and there is nothing the other person can do.

 

Dark Curse needs to be reverted immediately or everyone's log will be full of "Your combat with _______ was unresolved."

 

There needs to also be a shakeup to the "meta" sets used in PvP. Whether that be new sets (looking at you Attack Armor) or by nerfing buffs that make a defense heavy set absolutely broken. Composed Flinch is half of the problem and the other half is Fumble. Any attack that you used to have is removed before there is anything you can do, there is no counter. You can attempt to run a max attack setup but the end result is still the same: Your combat with _______ was unresolved.

 

I hope this opens up a bigger conversation about buff changes as they are needed badly.

I know , im just afraid they will leave it at 15 min like they did before on 10 mins then after lots of asking they made it 5 mins it is not like before in the past but 5 mins acceptable . 

I hope they look for it 

 

I'm afraid too... I'm afraid I may just have to walk because my passion keeps getting the shaft. 

 

With 2 minute intervals you can have tournaments done in 5 minutes, you could get results and make adjustments within a reasonable timeframe.

 

However currently it takes 45 minutes minimum!

Which is far too slow for a simple turn based game like this...

 

This really needs to be addressed now that things are online again.

It was 2 mins between rounds in the past and server never acted  like this...  the lag started with Quango event  

 

should we change a feature of the game because it is the easier way ? 

 

Agreed, the lag did start with the event - and I don't know why the arena timer changed - but the work that Hoof did (at around midnight, his time) did give the game a lot more stability than there was prior to his looking at it.

I'm sure the other issues will be looked at on the 1st, when the cows return to work
