#845767 Hunting Map Titan Kill Count

Posted by BraveKath on 02 February 2014 - 10:50

Idea - Titan Kill Counter on the Hunting Map

Always switching to the Scout Tower gets old and if titan hunt is competitive then it's a challenge.  I'd just would love to have the information right there.

Envision a small real time counter under or above the hunting map showing either the total guild kills, or just your kills, or each member of your guild and yours as well (of course).  Any of these options would be great.  Of course the break down of all guild mates including yourself would be awesome, just as we see using FSH on the Scout Tower page.  Ideally, this count would be on an active titan of your choice and you would have the option to "click on" the titan you want to follow, thus if you're not titan hunting you wouldn't have the counter going.

A counter shouldn't obstruct the view of the map.

I'm sure this has been discussed at some time in the past, but thought why not toss it out there now and see what people think and if Hoof or BigGrim could comment that would be great.  It could be a good motivator-confidence builder for new titan hunters and sure a nice tool for anyone.

Reality: I know HCS has a long to-do list of projects they're working on for FS, and a lot of other games to manage and in development, but never think that should be a deterrent for brain-storming and if it's feasible and there's support, then it goes on the list at some point.

Okay, in advance, thanks everyone for considering this  - - - Kath  :D

#845350 Sending Fragments

i think its a great idea but might aswell make it possible to sell or buy frags in like a fsp market thing sort off people can post how many frags their selling and for price they are selling them for then people can just buy them

you will just have to divide the diffirent kinds of frags

Being able to buy and sell frags, rather than the actual items that give the frags, negates the need for BP upgrades - and has been ruled out several times already :)

#844784 Catch up the other content update

Posted by watagashi on 29 January 2014 - 22:09

Was looking at dev roadmap and the thread for new content roadmap too and made me think,,,,

RP items went up to level 800 and its been years since the last update to those.

PvP ladder tokens have had 2 sets of items released, looked around and didnt see anything over 900 with these (wikki says no recipes for the DP sphere so it may be they werent added). A big thread debated it a while ago and new pvp gear that wasnt bound and potions that were was supposed to be comming sometime.)

Both the items and recipes that use pvp arena items seem to stop around 900, I dont do arenas much nor am a high lev so I didnt notice but have heard complaints that the arenas themselves dont go past 1200!

(cant believe this is true that arena champs actually dont have arenas to enter for 500+ levels of gear they have access too!)

While composing has sort of made it extinct it seems that also around 900 the recipes, game creatures, plants and other components for brewed pots stopped as well

Is there a way that these can be considered and maybe added with a existing planned update (Add New Unique Items and Medals to Guild Conflict (23rd Jan 2014) ,, this would be a great time for RP items too!!!) Or add it on roadmap please? With content planned past 2000 these other areas are now missing out on half the game.

I cant think of anyone who wouldnt want this other than those who have to code it and make the images, I am amazed more havent noticed this and brought it up especially those who are at EoC who are really missing out now.

#844465 Suggestion about NOT allowing quest rewards to be dropped if needed for anoth...

Perhaps a new stall in the cathedral of ways. A sort of fortune teller.

She sells all of the quest items in the game, (ones given by NPC's) however she won't sell them to you if you haven't started the quest/reached the point in the quest where you need them OR have already finished the quest.

Have her run some simple checks on you after you click on her.

I do not really like the way this buff market works at all. I like the FS-helper way of buffing...so why not just implementing that in the game, players wanting to sell buffs adds to their profile what buffs they sell, what price they sell at and a box to tick for each buff. make this searchable instead of the new market that clearly is a failure.

make it so that the seller has to be active to accept selling, but that once seller accepts the sale,  the payment is automatically sent, (as that is the only thing I do not like with the fs-helper buff tool..you can sell lots of buffs, and buyer does not pay after you send buffs) then if you request buffs from more than one seller, the next seller can only add what you do not have, and gets payed only for the additional buff he adds.

i have some buffs blocked in prefences, but they are still cast on me via this buff market.

This needs to be changed.  Very open to abuse.

While i still prefer the buff-marketplace suggested here:
http://forums.hunted...e=6#entry836044

As a compromise:
* Buff-buyer puts up his buff request in buff-marketplace with a gold/fsp price. Buff-buyer sets minimum buff level. Gold/fsp needed to pay for the buff has to be on hand, else the buff request is auto canceled. Buff requests only last for something like 30-60 minutes as max.

* Buff-seller browses through buff-requests. Picks the buff request that pays enough. Customer is buffed, gold/fsp is transferred "in hand". No extra confirmation is needed.

* As Extra/when time: Filter so the buff-seller only sees buff requests for which he has the required buff. Templates for buff requests (for the buff-buyer).

The above is again in order to keep things simple. So there would not be a "buffs offered" for buff-sellers. It would cope with the problem of buff-sellers being on auto-refresh. Buff-sellers would still have to be online. For buff packs the buff-sellers have to be contacted directly = not by buff-marketplace.

How would people feel about the buff packages auto buffing if the player has been active in the last ten minutes?

I.E. You see the package you want and the buffer has been active in last ten minutes. You hit request and it automatically goes through.

To prevent abuse, we can put in a Maximum Stamina Threshold which the buffer can set a limit to before it goes to a simple request again. This would allow them to buff while active without having to allow every request, yet put a maximum amount of Stam used so his/her Stam bank is not completely drained by possible malicious users.

I'd say we could possibly put those on auto accept to the top of the list? With it being set to a 10 minute activity level, this stops the function from becoming a purely automated system.

Furthermore, we could put a limit on the number of auto sales available per player, per 24 hours. This ought to prevent 'auto-refresh' abuse.

Opinions?

Grim I looove this idea!!! I suggested something similar a few days ago, but only through the shoutbox in the game. Instantaneous buff packages would be ideal, and I like the idea of limiting them to players online within the last ten minutes, and limiting the amount of buffs per 24 hours. That would help prevent any single players maintaining monopolies on the buff market, and would give players at lower levels like myself a chance to sell a few packages too. :) And the ability to limit the amount of stamina used for the auto-packages is definitely a must.

Also I just want to say how much I appreciate the Fallensword Team's continued devotion to the players and the game! You guys value our opinions and that is important!! :)

In general I like the new idea ... I have one concern - if a Buffer could have icons for Extend, Sustained & Reinforced by their name.  When I tried to use the Buff Market at first I didn't find one buffer with Extend and Reinforced and I'm not including those who aren't high enough to have the Reinforce buff, and worse still in my mind - several weren't even Sustained.  I've checked again and found more positive results, so that was encouraging.  I warned my guild "buyer beware" with the Buff Market and to ensure they get what they think they're paying for.

In a system where there's the action to "accept", then there's a chance the buffer might switch gear and attain Sustain and extend, and reinforce their buffs, but maybe not.

Again, I would really like to see if the Buff Market can be programmed to reflect icons by/under the Buffer's name indicating: Sustain, Extend (Level is important for this - in my opinion) and Reinforced.

I remember back when few players had Doubler, due to only like the Top 10 players being above level 200. None of the buffs above level 200 existed on the skill tree either.  It wasn't that bad. Seriously.

I'm with Belaric. Players should plan ahead, make connections with other players, and learn how to do more things on their own.

Players should not be buff vending machines.

*grabs Belaric's cane and waves it* Now get off my lawn! :P

I don't see why there is opposition to auto-buffing through the market place. I am losing gold on missed transactions because I can't be refreshing my browser every couple of seconds to see if I have a new request. Additionally the buyer does not have to wait until a request is accepted if an auto function is incorporated.

Let's imagine a situation.

I saw a player I don't like selling buffs/packages for gold.
I use 50FSPs to buy that a LOT of times when the player is offline, he get a LOT of gold on hand, I do a 100 Stamin hit on him and ask for my guildmates do the same, I get my gold back, erase his stamina and still get buffed. All that with the player offline.

The only way to Auto-buff work is if the gold go diretcly to the player bank, and that should not be allowed.

We'll set instant sale as an option. And with a cap of instant sales in 24 hours, this cuts the automation right down. It'll stay at what we deem is acceptable.

This turns the process from no automation to almost fully automated whether you have a 24 hour cap or not. What had great potential has turned exactly what I had expected it to and exactly as I said it would in the very beginning when this discussion was brought up. With the idea of instant cast (yes I do like the idea because how the marketplace is currently set up, a buy is left between a rock and a hard place when you need the buff quickly), you take out any social interaction that buff selling used to have. 24 hours is an extremely long time for instant sales, and it's very easy for an semi-retired player to log on one time every 24 hours to click a box to sell stamina for FSPs.

Sorry - edited for double post.

It would be easy just to eliminate auto-refresh..that way you are either there or not there..after all..most automation is not allowed and auto-refresh shouldn't be allowed either..that would solve  the problem with the buff marketplace..then you can automatically get your buffs instead of waiting for their reply

As a seller, I prefer having the ability to accept requests as they come in.

But if the system got changed to buyer control, I could live with it. However, that is total automation. Because you wouldn't be able to limit the number of times X package got bought since that would be unfair to the buyer not knowing that X package got bought X number of times in the past 24 hours. So you would set up your packages and the funds would flow in. Makes it very easy for sellers and buyers, but total automation.
