Like I said before I don't think speculation is good for any major update to the game, but I feel this update will make the game more vibrant and interesting. 

 

We'd really appreciate feedback on it once you've tried it out and we're happy to make further changes if it isn't working of course so don't worry! :)

 

I'll let you know as soon as we have a confirmed date for the update going live, but at the moment I think it will most likely be the second last week of July.

Forgive me for being a bit nervous about this new system but feedback is almost instantaneous while changes are not.  Whatever you introduce is something we'll have to live with for some time until any changes are decided upon and then actually implemented.  Better to take a little extra time and "spoil the surprise", so to speak, and get the new system right than spring a big secret on everyone that falls flat and needs immediate updates.

As for the bounty board>>I know some guilds wait til you are offline and not buffed in that 2 day period so they can get their lower leveled guild allies to do their dirty work. I suggested earlier that every loss on the BB should result in loss of xp and that  the time to offer that bounty up should be 2 hours instead of two days to make this fair for the ones that got hit for gold and hit back just to even up that hit. The BB is the most lopsided thing in this game in my opinion and if it was changed to make it fair for everyone it might just make a comeback.....So, if you wanna be fair here, tell the whole story.

 

Since when it is a guilds job to tell an attacker when they will be bountied? Did you warn the person before you hit in the first place? Shouldn't it be the job of the attacker to worry about when the repercussions are coming their way. It requires planning, or at least a few minutes to get enough hitters attention, to drop someone on the bb. We're given a 2 day period to accomplish that. Online or off, you're going to lose the levels. That's been proven time and time again. Pretending you're owed some sort of warning for fairness is just silly.

 

And seriously, your guild is just as big as ours. You have the ability to do exactly what we do, which is defend our members. I think we're more then good with that decision on our part. Just as I'm sure you're fine with leaving your members to beg for mercs and call people names.   To each their own, I suppose.

Please Hoof do not sway from your original plans which will remove the ability to stop the current bullying practice of taking 5 levels.

 

In real life we dont tolerate bullies , so we should not accept bullying in a game.

You've been pretty free and easy with the "bully" accusations in this thread.  If you've been abused so badly then surely you have given documented proof of such to the cows.  Otherwise, your posts are just flaming and should be removed as per the rules of the board.

I do like the fact that bulling will be harder to do. Aka you hit my guild mate, therefore I post you and take 5 endlessly until you back down. That is a very OLD way of thinking in this game and i'm glad they finally put an end to massive deleveling as a way to control the masses

 

How is defending a guildmate against someone who hit him bullying? And when was it ever possible to take 5 endlessly on someone innocent? To lose 5, you need to have attacked in the first place, and to lose 5 endlessly, you would need to have attacked endlessly in the first place.

 

So... who is the bully in that senario?

You mean a highly vocal minority? It's ten pages of a half dozen players posting repeatedly. The same was true of Titan Cooldown. That didn't destroy the game. This won't either.

 

The Bounty Board should not have been used by Guilds to destroy other players. It was. It most certainly should not have been used in such a fashion for 'remarks'.

 

Sadly, this attitude has been the problem for a long time. No one 'destroyed' other players. No one ever lost levels on the Bounty Board without hitting someone. This is the way the game has always been played, and you're destroying it with this change, not saving it.

 

But really, just answer one question. In this new system, what option are you leaving your players to defend themselves?

This thread is hilarious and extremely creative. Kudos out to the snowman. 

 

I too believe that creatures have been unfairly slaughtered for gold and XP with no recourse to justice. 

 

I'm also certain that most levelers and anti-PvPers will fully support this idea based on their own moral standard ,oP

 

I like yg's thoughts on the issue, but I might go so far as to suggest that it is creatures that randomly take up the bounty. Those that lose could even transfer XP to the player. Of course, I've thought for a long time that bounty hunters that lose on bounties should lose XP as well. 

Actually gave some thought on the bounty hunter losing xp if they lose a bounty and I think that should only apply to someone using more than 10 stamina to clear, but then have conserve work the same way where if it activates during that particular fight then the attacker still doesnt lose xp.

 

This would just keep it fair for those lower level players who are trying to achieve a bounty hunting medal and aren't afraid to take on someone of a higher level. Doesn't really strike me as fair to punish a level 200 using 10 stam hits to clear a level 2000 player by having him lose xp each time he loses since he's generally going to lose more battles than win.

 

However if he decides to 100 stam a bounty and loses, by all means, say goodbye to xp. This would also discourage some of these 'smasher medal only' players from smashing bounties randomly as then they run the risk of not only losing 5 levels from the counter bounty but even a few levels from the bounty itself.

 

 

As far as creatures taking up the bounties placed by other creatures, how would they go about getting buffed up? Is there a creature buff market? Would they have randomly rolled stats when clearing and if so, how would we see those stats to be able to dance on the boards with them? I'd have to say no to that part of the idea strictly because it's likely way too much extra programming and way too many variables on that, I'd say though just to have it set at a 100 stam hit coming back at you from the creature in the realms or a normal bounty posted by them...perhaps with a set amount of frags as the reward to encourage bounty hunting from composers.

 

Edit:Or in the event that its a creature that drops a set item, maybe even a perfect crafted item from their set as a reward

How about these 2 viable options being introduced into the game to shake things up a little bit....

 

1)Give mobs a low chance(0.001% or so) of randomly bountying their attackers. Can even raise the percentage for higher classifications of mobs as well...legendaries, super elites, titans...this would be fun indeed.

 

 

2)Let mobs practice CVP(creature vs player)...unless you're on a relic, you take a chance of a mob randomly attacking you and taking gold and experience back...again, a low chance but again, more random fun

ARENA

  • bring back item & gold tournaments

1st place gets the item / gold & NO Arena Tokens

2nd place gets 50% of the items worth in Tokens (% can be changed, this was only an example)

3rd place gets 25% of the items worth in Tokens (% can be changed, this was only an example)

EXAMPLE:

(tournament with Potion of the Brewers Art as a reward, in the Arena Token Shop = 100 Arena Tokens)

1st place gets the Potion of the Brewers Art

2nd place gets 50 Arena Tokens

3rd place gets 25 Arena Tokens

  • Introduce NEW ARENA recipes that use the old arena items + Elite items + LE items + in some cases SE items

This will keep the arena prices high for a longer time & give HCS more time before they need to put new prices + will drive more players into the arena to make some profit

 

IMPORTANT: OMACAZ chest (=inventor chest) should NOT work with the NEW ARENA recipes !!!!

 

Titan Hunting

  • introduce NEW EPIC recipes

EXAMPLE:

Deepwater Choker (amulet) + Feather Amulet of Kantec (amulet) + 2 different SE amulets = NEW EPIC AMULET

Arcing Sabatons of Cyclonus (boots) + Skaldirs Frostbitten Steps (boots) + 2 different SE boots = NEW EPIC BOOTS

Venoxa Tox Gland (rune) + Fuvayus Vortex Stone (rune) + 2 different SE runes = NEW EPIC RUNE

  • Introduce a 2nd cool down (personal cool down) for everyone who did more than >25% kills of the secured Titan !!!

EXAMPLE 1:

“John” from the guild “HCA” secured SOLO the “Lestus Titan”

The guild “HCA” will be on 1 week cool down BUT “John” will be on 1 month cool down

This will ensure that not only a few (fastest hunters) will be able to profit from this but the others (average, slow & those who will start titan hunting) + it will keep the epic values high for a longer time

EXAMPLE 2:

“John” (60% kills) and “Katy” (40% kills) from the guild “HCA” secured the “Lestus Titan”

The guild “HCA” will be on 1 week cool down BUT both “John” and “Katy” will be on 1 month cool down because each one of them has more than >25% kills !!!

EXAMPLE 3:

“John” (40% kills), “Katy” (40% kills) and Mark (20% kills) from the guild “HCA” secured the “Lestus Titan”

The guild “HCA” will be on 1 week cool down BUT “John” and “Katy” will be on 1 month cool down EXCEPT for “Peter” who will be on 1 week cool down since he has less than <25% kills !!!!

EXAMPLE 4:

“John” from the guild “HCA” got enough TKP (not secures) from the “Lestus Titan” for the guild “HCA” to buy the epic

Both the guild “HCA” and “John” will be on 1 week cool down since “John” got the epic with only TKP !!!

 

This will not only increase titan hunting activity to secure titans, it will even increase titan hunting for TKP (NON secures) for players to avoid the 1 month cool down + be advantageous for slow!!!

Increase the spawn rate of ALL titans

(there are currently 24 titans that randomly spawn, NOT including the seasonal titans or the 4 elemental titans !!!)

IMPORTANT: OMACAZ chest (=inventor chest) should NOT work with the NEW EPIC recipes !!!!

 

Super Elites

  • introduce NEW SE recipes to combine the old SE items to get a NEW SE item

=> brings back value to the SE items !!!

  • NEW SE should spawn in random maps UP to the SE level (can be done to the old SE too)

EXAMPLE:

NEW 1500 SE should spawn in random maps from 1 – 1500

There could even be a “SE event” where the spawn rate time is HALFED & the number of maps the titan usually spawns DOUBLED (+maybe DOUBLE the drop rate too) !!!

The introduction to adding SE items to invent NEW SE + NEW ARENA + NEW TITAN recipes will increase the SE items value + increase the SE hunting activity !!!

IMPORTANT: OMACAZ chest (=inventor chest) should NOT work with the NEW SE recipes !!!!

 

PvP

!!! FIRST what I am mentioning here applies to PvPer vs PvPer, it does NOT affect NON-PvPers !!!!

  • DEFLECT needs to be changed so that after each deflected attack the time you can attack again is halfed by 50% until 15 minutes waiting time !!!

EXAMPLE

“John” attacks “Peter” and gets deflected (“John” can attack after 30 minutes again instead of 60 minutes)

“John” attacks “Peter” a 2nd time and gets deflected again (“John” can attack after 15 minutes again)

“John” attacks “Peter” a 3rd time and gets deflected again (“John” can attack after 15 minutes again)

“John” attacks “Peter” a 4th time and is successful (“John” can attack after 60 minutes again)

I have always hated DEFLECT, it drove me crazy, worst was getting 17 deflects in a row by the same player on the ladder, I wasted tons of stamina & time for NOTHING

 

  • Certain powerful LUCKY skills like Dispel Curse, Golden Shield, Invert, High Guard should NOT work !!!

Once 1 or more of these powerful LUCKY skills activate you can kiss your calculations goodbye and a very high chance you will lose the combat !!!

(please remember how damaging the old sealed & old reflection skills were to PvP until HCS "fixed" them)

 

  • Composing Skills should NOT work except for Pride, Anti Deflect, Gloat, Brute Strength, (Buff Enhancer) BUT EPIC chests & global chests should work !!!

I believe that one of the reasons why PvP was so vibrant years ago was because it was kept simple (=NOT overpowered skills) where we had many different PvP setups (even elite & champion items were used) to change into & where skill & experience greatly mattered, NOT who has the highest pots / chests !!!

 

2 experienced PvPers using high lvl composing pots will get unresolved combats or best case scenario a 2% !!!

IMO this is NOT how PvP should be !!!

Go and take a look at the composing max skills at http://wiki.fallensw...llowable_Skills and you might understand (I already tested it and even saw some players using it)

 

(fully buffed skills lvl 187 & potted up (EW1725, ..) at my level I can get about 100k armor (+armor boost 345, coord defense403) with all the high lvl composing pots, adding sanctuary460 (= +46%armor) and entrench230 (=+57,5% of damage is transferred to armor) => this gives me about 150k armor !!! the highest damage my opponent can muster with the highest composing pots & buffs & potion is about 150k damage using suicide setup BUT terrorize403 takes away -40,3% of his damage leaving him with about 90k damage in the end !!! so in the end my 150k armor against his 90k damage !!! :( )

 

DO NOT misunderstand, I AM NOT AGAINST composing in general, I use composing pots for ALL my hunts, be it SE hunting, titan hunting or leveling),composing is very popular and has helped many players to beat titans who had trouble before + help players easily 1-hit kill creatures + and so on BUT I believe for PvP it is doing more harm than good :(

 

  • For the new PvP Tournament introduce “Synthesize

Synthesize” is an Artisanship like “Crafting” and “Hell Forge” BUT with the difference that it uses “Soul Stones” too which can be acquired as rewards from the PvP Tournament instead of “PvP Ladder Tokens”

“Synthesize” can increase your items stats, pots and chests skills depending on the Synthesize-level !!!

Synthesized items, pots & chests will have a “+” next to their names !!!

This way HCS will not need to worry about releasing new items or pots for the ladder + this will increase PvP activity and even get players to start doing PvP :-D

 

  • I do not know how the new PvP Tournament will look like BUT hope you will include the BOUNTY BOARD with it !!!

You saw what happened to the BB after you removed bounties from the PvP ladder despite many saying it should stay because it would obviously affect the BB in a bad way and the result was even less BB-activity & the PvP ladder – activity stayed the same or even got worse !!!

There were a very few cases where someone who would sit on the PvP ladder (PvP Tournament) and not do any attacks BUT bounty all incoming attacks so to counter that make it that you will have to do at least 1 attack in order to be able to bounty on the PvP ladder (PvP Tournament)

 

LEGENDARY EVENTS

  • Spawn LOW Level Legendary Creatures More Often

to be honest I would like to see ALL level LE events more often BUT low lvl LE events much more than the higher ones of course

mabye something like this: (this is just an EXAMPLE)

1 - 100 => every week (very important for NEW players to be able to farm their own LE sets)

101 - 500 => every 2 weeks

501 - 1000 => every 4 weeks

1001 - EOC => every 8 weeks

 

CHESTS

  • Release new rewards

 

LAST:

@HCS: When you add new rewards to the ladder, arena, GvG then please make sure you treat everyone the same meaning if you add new items to the arena to buy with old arena tokens then do the same with RP and PvP ladder tokens too!!!

 

ps: I am very impressed with the recent LE sets, they fit perfectly into the PvP / offline setups and even improve them, excellent work !!! :D

Where is this quest? Maybe it was there for older players but I don't see it for newer players so are you implying HCS is "lying" to newer players? 

There were at minimum 2 quests that required PvP. The one that I remember positively as one of them was Remnants of Corruption, level 40. It required that a player have a PvP rating of something like 1250 or 1450. Every one started at 1000 rating, so you had to win some before you could actually start. After I had completed the quest, they changed the reward and gave out Tainted Runes and Tainted Rings for a short while (but never offered me one as a previous completer). These items became SUPER popular in the Arena and would command 400 FSP in the AH. Gideon's set came out years later and replaced the need for these items. When the ladder was introduced, the PvP rating that everyone had got reset to 1000 and became bracketed. After the PvP ladder was changed, yet again, to having to opt in, that did away with everyone actually having a PvP rating. Without the PvP rating system that was once in place, HCS had to alter a few of the quests so that players could actually complete them. Thus, you no longer see them in your quest book written this way. There was also another quest around level 75-80, but I don't recall which one.

Why not make it so that pvp prestige can only be earned on the pvp bounty board?

Because pvp isn't just limited to the bounty board as generally the bounty board is considered the punishment for a pvp attack. You can currently gain 10 prestige points through a single attack every 3 days either on ladder or off, regardless of stamina used(which needs to change to 1 prestige point per 10 stamina used), or 1 point for each successful attack on the bounty board. Since pvp is the riskiest part of this game, in that you can potentially lose 5 levels for a single attack, it only makes sense that those who choose to take that risk be rewarded with prestige. But the posting in bios offering free prestige hits without bounty needs to also be eliminated as that suddenly removes the risk of pvp and loopholes the entire idea thereby destroying the very integrity of the game which needs to be brought back into it. This game has survived almost 9 years now for a reason and the things that made it great way back when need to be brought up to date so we can continue to enjoy this game and help it grow.

Totally agree that prestige should be rated according to stam usage.  1 point per 10 stam used on AND off bounty board is easy enough.  Not only would it discourage prestige trading but it would encourage smashes on the bounty board, something levelers should embrace as "real" punishment instead of "not real" punishment soft clears.
