This auto fill appropriation has no valuable meaning. You can only attack/be attacked based on your VL(virtual level) not how the find player auto fill works atm based on your AL(actual level). Please adjust. Thank you.

Could HCS please look into why Dominance ticks are no longer counted toward players who are alone, or with guildmates, in their ladder?

 

This started a few weeks ago. We still receive tokens.

 

Do we cease being Dominant solely because no one else will join the same Ladder?

I see a lot of passionate views and opinions here which is a good thing, nothing is getting placed on the back burner, I'm working with the team now and we're going to strive for a much more regular pace of updates to improve all aspects of the game. 

Good to see you back at Fallen Sword at the helm emphasizing positive changes, not upside down radical ones.

At this stage I'm afraid that anything done to the Ladder will be incomplete, not well thought out and certainly not consulted with players. We need an interactive thread with devs asking questions about what they are leaning towards doing.

I am well aware that the helper is not made by HCS, and for those who are playing without the helper, the new features are a real improvement. But as somebody who has used the helper I really don't understand why the new update is less efficient (from an player point of view) then the FSH. Maybe there are technical reasons or whatever, but its weird.

I agree, the latest improvements were anything but an improvement to the game. Sorry but it's the undeniable truth. I know HCS has limited resources of time, talent, and revenue to work with but as an older member of the player community I'd like to see the PvP Ladder and the Quick Buff menu continued to be worked on until they at least work better, not worse, then before!

Being a script writer is the best skill you could have playing this game. There is nearly no enforcement of the current rules http://forums.hunted...ng/#entry713526. How do you think composers are already at or near level 50? How do you think solo Titan secures are achieved even against multiple players/guilds? My confidence in game integrity is at a new low.

We have chosen to revert the change 'Players can now attack fellow guild members if they share a PVP Band.' pending further review of the PVP Ladder system next week. More information will be posted about our planned changes when it becomes available.

Zorg, since players seem to pass over posts like this one you might think about locking this thread and starting another.

 

Thanks for your hindsight to recognize that the update, which at least started to move the game forward, wasn't working the way it was intended. Just ask the players to debate and argue their points in a thread. We have a lot of experience playing this game. :)

To me risk in FS PvP should just involve XP loss via the bounty board or a smash back or multiple..

What does risk mean for you, luisspamer? Just a small chance of a five level loss via the BB?

I agree, risk in the game should always involve xp loss. Xp is the basis for how players are ranked or gauged. It determines many things: what gear can be worn, the buffs you have access to and where your character can access the FS world. Without the chance to lose xp the game is much less entertaining. Imagine the game without xp at all. The game wouldn't have anything to base value on. It'd be like the world without money. So once you start talking about adding risk-free areas the game digresses. Look at PvP protection. What's it's purpose? To allow those who detest xp loss so much to be allowed to temporarily play the game without it to HCS' extra financial benefit. It's essentially another way for them to make slightly more money. If PvP protection were free the game would collapse. Players wouldn't have any antagonistic relationship with others. This risk, thrill, or drama is one major component in making this game a game.

 

So it doesn't matter if the chance of xp loss is small or large, the reality is the same. You will find out quickly who you can/can't hit without repercussions. You can lose 5 levels for a 10 stam prestige hit or a counter attack. It's a thrill! Continually whittling away at that thrill only hurts the game. Start a conflict if you don't want your xp feelings hurt or if you want to hit back for free. The only difference between PvP and GvG is gold and xp is not lost in the latter.

How about adding a rule about amount of same guild members that can be participant in one pvp band similar to the rule in arena about how many of same guild members can participate in a tournament?

And what, have a lottery to see which two(or whatever number) are allowed to join the Ladder? There are 10s of tournaments spawning 24 hours a day to join or not at any one time. There is one Ladder for each player to join all the time.

If people wanted to abuse it they could have done so before this update by simply leaving their guild. This is now some change that is exploitable...

Players weren't gonna leave their guild before because they would lose their gxp(guild experience) just for a lousy 10% Prestige(that's 500 points). Sorry. But who knows? Maybe some did. Now they don't have to do anything but join the ladder. If it's too much of a hassle to 'fix' well ok. We can find a way to police it ourselves...

 

Can we still hit other players and buy PvP protection at 200k gold to leave the Ladder and not be bountied?

Uber pots and excessive globals have made standard creeps insignificant. Now leveling on a champion is the standard. And indeed, Holmes, sitting on a champ is the only way to go when losing levels. There is no longer any penalty to losing levels. Hit away! You can achieve a shiney medal for it.

they do eventually but for a period of time they just sit there *shrugs* there was one on my ladder last round showing as 1000 points..i couldnt take pvp ponts from him even tho i took xp..

 

now today he seems to have dropped off it :)

The period is 7 days.

People complain about bounties, some complain about losing xp, and many other reasons. Why not just take it all out. No xp loss, no bounties,no gold loss. Make it like the arena. If they really wanna do pvp, there is a thing call regular pvp. Just attack other players. It's not that hard. Of course some people will find this obstructive and not agree to it. But It'll probably solve most problems.

They already have it, go start a GvG conflict! It's what you want.

A couple things about yet more input to "fix" the last real PvP Ladder fix!  The current system just needs some attention guys. If I saw any chance of resources being applied in the near future to changing the PvP aspect I might sing a different tune...

 

Until then, IF SOMEONE DOESN'T WANT TO LOSE THEIR PRECIOUS XP AND BE DELEVELED DON'T JOIN THE LADDER OR GET THEMSELVES PUT ON THE BOUNTY BOARD! In fact, there is a medal and Top 250 list specifically REWARDING the achievement of taking another player's xp! Being called a bully for playing the current game is abhorrent beyond belief. Let's see some precious resources applied to improve this PvP game instead. That is what we need. PvP is an intregal part of this game because it creates an all important risk to ALL players! The current wave of anti-PvP sentiment is alarming because it is having an effect that is starting to show favoritism to those that threaten to leave and selects certain guilds and players for punishment like suggestions of doing away with PvP. I am abundantly aware of these threats. That is what is stopping players from liking the game. Can we see something applied to benefit the game any time soon instead of selectively changing the rules?
