#969735 FS Helper

Posted by rowbeth on 30 September 2016 - 15:33

Please let me know if you find out. I've got as far as realising that I don't have to do it if I set up a new profile for my browser, but haven't worked out what it is in the old profile that keeps deleting the FSH settings.

(By the way, you may find that saving then reloading settings from a file is easier than rechecking all the boxes.)

For m it is the online guild members that are not highlighted. I don't remember if this is a preference to check or not. If it is I can't find it.

EDIT: At the top of the FSH settings page all you need to do is Enable Guild Info Widgets. That does the trick. Of course then Save Settings.  :)

Also this thread may help you some. It did for me.   https://forums.hunte...showtopic=74507

#968828 Small suggestion for GvG ladder

Posted by Plexus37 on 14 September 2016 - 18:33

Current rules for GvG ladder.

Note: Guilds must have at least four members and one must have been active within the last 30 days to be included on the Guild PvP Ladder.

Maybe add ...

Guild must of completed at least 4 GvG within last 30 days ... also? (just 1 per week)

and

Guild to have at least "4" active members.

Just an idea to get some additional GvG going around here.. and the ladder favouring active GvG guilds.

Thoughts?

#963258 Increasing BB activity :)

Posted by wraith on 11 May 2016 - 17:43

As watered down as things have become, rewarding the BH in my opinion will not further increase BB activity.  While it is fun to participate in PVP, an increased incentive to be on the board would further beneficent the board rather than the hunter that hits members several 100 levels below their threshold to get a medal to flaunt for it. Perhaps maybe a pot or potion as a reward for winning a number of attacks while on the BB or something of that nature. I dont claim to be a PVP player but i do read alot of these " full circle " arguments and have noticed that the less challenging the game has become the less activity there has been. The risk of being hit used to add some sense of danger to the game and hitting was a great way to make friends it was fun back then. Deny it if you will but look around at membership of the game now compared to before the major changes. Just my little rant.

Cheers

I agreeing with you wazzimoto but gvg has becoming joke after composing

players now hitting with crazy high composing and guilds can only trying defending with buffing their members only with buffs 175 against crazy high composing

all acounts that getting banned should be removing from top lists, it not mattering if banning was because they broke hcs rules or they asking hcs for getting banned, when they coming back and asking hcs for unbanning them then they can getting back to top list

LEOS, yes, thank you for pointing that out....i apologize.  there is that random chance, so i shudnt say they ALL cheated.  but i stand by my statement that a guild with ALL member's being banned is not the same as inactive, and shud be looked at as not ever able to come back and shud be removed from the list just the same. darn those exceptions to the rules...lol

if players are banned....it is because of wrong doing in FS..breaking the rules...so hence cheating.  I too agree that the 11th place guild with all members banned shud be removed for two reasons.  first, they are all banned.  for what ever reason they were banned they ALL cheated at something....they shud not be given any honor.  SECONDLY and more importantly...they will never come back, where as an inactive guild does have the chance of having a mate pop back on to see what is going on...and we all have the chance to smack em silly.  lol.  but a completely banned guild holding a high place of honor, shud not happen!  think it is best for all.....

any people that are 30 days or more inactive should not be in the hi-scores lists. Any guild that even remotely is suspected of cheating should not be listed in the hi-scores list, upon confirmation of cheating.

I really liked bc's idea at post #77 which I think is pretty close to the topic at hand.

I haven't really thought about the ramifications of the suggestion, but the base idea seems really interesting to me to upping activity.

I'm not too sure what BC means by the information getting lost, as my Guild log goes back 18 days.

However, and openly realizing that there are some Guilds that do the hard work in GvG to know what guilds are on cool down for them before they strike again, I think a GvG log would be interesting.

I might even suggest it as a structure for a small gold sink... and I do mean small in this case as I think GvG overall is a great gold sink for the game.

I think (but those that do focus on this, would need to weigh in) that it would be popular among active GvG guilds.

Off the top of my head, structure 1 would keep a log of Guilds hit and the record in the last 7 days. Structure 2 could be longer and/or include "details" (to be discussed) perhaps something relevant for those Guilds out there that actually pay out for GvG.

I would personally love to see GvG activity increase even more.

Anyway, know this a bit different than what BC was talking about, but "think" it's along the same lines.

I am thinking maybe we could add to the guild view a tally list of guilds that have attacked for the week deal. The reason I suggest this not as a win button or such but a way to check on last guild attacked. When timer goes in gvging wins and loss information goes on guild log and once guild log is refreshed it is lost. I think a guild checklist for all to look and see wins loss ties would be cool for team mates to look at.

Mind you this is not must update but a way to show all players in a guild to see what happened when they were not on to witness why their gear gets damaged.

I am suggesting this from my gvging experience when my gear gets damaged and the guild log gets refreshed I have no idea if my guild won or not when whole conflict aspect completes. I think this would be good way to help new players understand how gear gets damaged while off and perhaps might add more participation.  If this was suggested earlier in this thread I do apologize since I did not go back to the beginning of the thread to read all comments.

Oh lord, EP.

Yes, I know which guild is hitting.

What I asked for was a list of the players in that guild doing the hitting.

Is that easier to understand?

As a player in FS, I too have the right to make a suggestion and ask the devs to consider it.

I do not have to run it past all the know it all better than anyone elses  first, that sit here and troll me and others for suggestions put forth.

I do take part in the defense of my guild.

Are you seriously asking for a list of the exact players in a guild hitting your players? Why not ask the gvg gods to automatically buff your players that are being attacked?  Jeez, how can you see this as an improvement and not a win button?

I almost like Doom's post #46 post, but went with #48 instead.

What the yot-Doom story made me "remember" (not realize) is that there are a lot of assumptions about how Guilds work that are taken for granted.

If there is one thing I've seen in my info gathering it is that no Guild works the same. There are costs and benefits that only a Guild and its players can decide.

We run our Guild based on how we work and teamwork outside of that fills a lot of gaps. There are tons of Guilds out there that function differently based on game aspects and a huge variety of factors.

I think it's pretty easy to see the differences, but I would recommend not being so quick to either assume: A) that one thing is a positive or B) that something else is a negative.

Be careful with evaluating based on your own Guild experience or personal preferences is the only "hopefully helpful advice" I can give.

Go to conflict page....click on the Guild that is attacking you....check their online players that are online....check their buffs....IF they have PvP buffs on....then you know they are the ones that are attacking you.......then...buff your guildmates that are in range of that attacker.

Level Ranges
Level Ranges are as follows:

  • 50 - 300 (+/- 25)
  • 301 - 700 (+/- 50)
  • 701+ (+/- 100)

Hope this helps a bit :)

To this advice (which I thought was great) I would also add checking your Guildies' durability.

Don't talk to me about easy.

For PvP they put up a list of 25 names that can be attacked under the find player link.

Then they put a link on the player bio page to make even easier..

Then they added a GvG link on the player bio page.  Easier yet.

All for  PvP.

Nice huh?

Easy huh?

And even easier to defend but you just want it given to you for 0 effort, and that is not going to be happening.

That is far too difficult for some of us. We want it EASY...

These are getting cheaper but they should be free!
