#821089 suggestion: being able to see who on cool down

Posted by yghorbeviahn on 19 November 2013 - 10:42

I have some few suggestions for Titan Logs, I'll post here :)

1 - Titan Kills Log:
Change from 5 to 10, since we have a lot more Titans now, showing the last 5 seems useless for anyone who stay more than 12hrs without log in.

2 - Scout Tower:
Make a upgrade for lvl 4 (not expensive to keep), so the Scout Tower will show more Titans AND (most important) will show the BONUS the guild receive on each Titan.

- I'm the Titan Leader of TED and it's a pain in the a** to keep track of the TKP without the bonus showing, last week an Guardian of Elements took so long to die that when he dies he was not even on Scout Tower anymore.

Maybe something like that:

n/a                       -/-           1315   (+351 - 3th)
Player 1           1006        76.5%
Player 2             309         23.5%

Very easy.

Maybe a parcel of reserve stam to players with lower max stams who have high progress on loyalty medal as a christmas gift from HCS instead? I;m fully aware from last xmas how an xp event can be ridiculous... though the less xp events we have the harder it is for newer players to reach EOC as more content gets added.... Maybe occasional 25% bonus xp weekends staggered opposite of global quests and the like as a more common occurance to reward yearround activity? :/ Just my thoughts on it.

Is that the goal? Get everyone to eoc ASAP? We got the global pots which are essentially huge bonus xp pots. I think if anything, we got way more then you are asking. It's a bit unfair to the eoc'rs who slogged to the top the old fashioned way while we are asking for an easier path. Enjoy what we have. We really got a LOT.

triple xp event + zombie brew + pulsing skeletal potion = .... erm ... a lot of xp

I seriously doubt we'll ever see a triple XP event. It's just far too much.

BigGrim has already stated that HCS don't have an xp event planned for christmas time.

BigGrim actually stated that HCS don't have an XP event planned for Halloween.

Will there be an XP event this year? Maybe. Maybe not. Constant threads demanding them do not help however.

Do you know what I think we should do??

Do away with the table showing the top 100. Keep whatever rewards they decided to allocate to players that finish in the top 100, but keep that top 100 information secret until the event is over.

There'd be a lot less arguing, and a lot less people doing their best to get on the top100 with the least amount of kills possible.

You'd basically have to throw as much stamina as you are willing to part with, then cross your fingers and hope your 'bet' was bigger than other peoples.

Would be a lot more 'fun' and cause a lot less friction if you ask me.

So let me ask, do you remember the double gold events, pre PvP opt out many years ago? That was the closest we've ever come to a PvP event by virtue of how much more gold was in the game. How many leveling events have we had in the last year, or two? For this reason I use the word neglect. Again this is a PvP game, whether everyone excepts it or not. Also, while they are consistantly adding new gear to the game, what can you buy that has ANY value or relevance with a PvP token? Nada, zip, nothing. Every aspect of the game, with the exception of PvP allows players profitability through hard work and game play!

On your final disagreement, I'm not sure what you're talking about... you might rethink that one.

Nope - I've not been in this game that long... was that pre or post 100 stam hits? I also hear about "good" pvp'rs from way back when... not sure what that means. Regardless PVP is part of the game but if your saying pvp is the main part of the game then there's some false advertising when you sign up... have you seen the FS landing page with the message: "Fallen Sword is a massively multiplayer role playing game set in the exciting and evolving world of Erildath." Perhaps I'm a bit dense but I don't see one mention of PVP anywhere on the first page. Maybe it's in the fine print after during the sign up process? I don't know... but the way you make it sound, it seems pvp is THE game whilst everything else revolves around it.

Regarding the hoarder thing.. If people weren't wary of PVP and keep forgetting about it, they would be running around with millions of unbanked gold. It would seem 90% of the population know better then to do that so to say people forget about PVP is a bit disingenuous IMHO.

That require am500 not everyone have those

That or patience. The creatures are bound to respawn there at some point (not sure what the respawning time is).

Add: But then again, not everyone has patience..

*overly complicated math to bring up a moot point*

Hey mate,

As has been said in this thread before, not everyone is meant to achieve ruby. Look at it from the perspective of a new player - for a few days' worth of stam, they're getting access to AMAZING pots which they could only dream of getting otherwise at that level. Sure, they won't get ruby - but not everyone is meant to. To quote a line from the incredibles ... "If everybody's super ... no one is."

Assuming (chuckle, chuckle) that previous responses aren't the typical "me, me... give me the win button" responses, here are some suggestions for dealing with events:

STAM:

Depending on your priorities you may well need more stam than what you currently have to do "some" things during this event.

I'll refer you to the Upgrades section where you can purchase stamina for gold (up to a certain point) and for FSP (to an unlimited amount).

For the record, I'm not a pay-to-win player and actually hunted yesterday despite being extremely certain that the event would begin today.

Forgetting all about players that have over 100k max stamina or how keeping them busy can help you via gold sink, you may feel free to go out and start your own game where you expect to be able to complain about all those that use real cash to get ahead in games while completely ignoring that, thanks to them, you are playing for free.

Do I think it's "fair"? Actually, I do. Of course, I live in a place called Earth which is where that's how things work. I have been playing for six years and have yet to see some starving kid from Africa coming online and complaining about prices... but hey, maybe I've just missed them. *Please note that I have purposely not placed any funny, joking faces here*

PRIORITIES:

Two chomper events, a Halloween Event, a pending LE... and then Bonfire should be here... hmm... here's the content roadmap link:

http://forums.hunted...showtopic=58948

Like life, in FS you need to prioritize. Poor you, you don't have enough stam to do everything... now get over it.

Also realize that a multitude of events at once helps to level the playing feel... that level 1800 with 100k stam will prioritize and while she is doling out stam on everything, you might have an even better chance if you just concentrate. What's more, now is a great time to simply hunt and get your cheap FSP with gold... I wish the Temple had a gold sink God... well, now it's here... (o0

GLOBAL EVENT:

Here, I actually do feel "some" sympathy for lower level players. Getting the full amount is going to be extremely difficult. However, let's be reasonable... Let's assume everybody gets the 4 Bloody Vampiric Chests... Exactly how is that going to help you? If you're a leveler and everybody has it... then... yeah.

This event is active for six days... one might note the following: I could hunt with 12k stam once every five days. One of my Guildies hunts every day with 2.6k stam... Grant it, the difference is that my costs are less (pots, etc). So wow, I work for stuff and I have an advantage... that's crazy! Where is the win button?!!!

Sarcastic and cynical as always. The serious point is that if everything gets the same thing, nothing will change. You'll still be the same number of levels below whoever you're going after because they get what you get. Would you really be itching to hit those higher levels if there weren't "advantages"?

The really relevant point in all this is that the minimum kills required HAS TO BE HIGH. This is because most of the FS community will make the max kills and stop. There are medals for encouraging kills, but let's face it: Why would I do more than 5k kills? Only if I think that I'll get that better prize by putting in another 5k or 10k or whatever.

Global Events aren't meant to be easy, they're meant to be a community event. I've already seen one player drop GE buffs to 50k. In the past, I've seen players offering them for free. I've also seen players offering up prizes to the top 10.

Maybe none of that was completely altruistic, but last I checked, the world I live in wasn't thriving.

I'll end this rant with some Advice to lower level players: Personally I think the gold tier Excellent Vampiric Chest rocks and not just for a lower level, but also for me on a normal hunt basis. I'd be happy with that, but then I don't tend to run my life thinking "oh yeah, that's really cool but there is something so much better I could get if I only had a win button". Prioritize with what you have. FS is no different than RL and it definitely shouldn't be... ,oP

Hey. The amount is staying as it is for at least a couple of days. Do what you can and we'll see. It will NOT be changed now.

@BG: Please don't change anything. Don't even suggest you'll baby people. This is a Global Event, it's up to us. Personally, I'd really like to see what we could do if people weren't expecting HCS to provide a crutch. (o0

Prosperous smacking everybody! (o0

STRICTLY A CURRENT GVG SYSTEM SUGGESTION

I'll admit, I haven't read any of the other 15 pages but the GVG War thread got me thinking about ways to improve the CURRENT GVG system. How about we add elements of the PVP Arenas into the GVG system? Get rid of the level limit across the entire board. However, if a higher level wants to hit a lower level, they can only use gear of that level or lower(PVP Arena aspect). Level 350s can hit 1000s if they want since there's no limit for hitting upwards, only the stats they can manage to get.

You won't ever have level 1200s hitting a level 49 in a Skull Carver set. If they grab a Deathspinner set at level 40 though, they CAN hit that level 49 no questions asked. This will solve the issue of people not having targets to hit because guilds don't recruit below or above a certain level(which IMO is a big part of GVG dying).

Would it be possible to remove LVL UP Points when hitting downwards? That way higher levels don't have any advantage to their stats.

And on another note, would it also be possible to implement a 24 hour protection for players joining a guild? Too many times have people joined and immediately went offline before getting equipped. Then a conflict comes in and low and behold, guess who gets hit? :/ To prevent abuse of this protection, give a 7 day rejoin cooldown for people leaving said guild. That way you don't get people leaving a guild and rejoining as soon as the conflict is over(I believe Grendeldog said people did this to him when he GVG'd?).

#814899 Hellforging on behalf of hoof

Posted by evilbry on 04 October 2013 - 10:44

I Personally think 1% per forge to a total of 5% should be the cap. HCS can then apply the upgrade from around level 800 where stats get less than a 1% increase per forge and have that formula from that level up (retaining existing formula/bonuses for levels below that).

Is 10% going to be too overpowered? Where would the 10% begin to be applied from? I guess that is what it comes down to.

Instead of teleporting, how about not refreshing the action list at every step when you're walking a long way? Then you could shorten the time that each step takes for everyone. That would save a lot of server load, and making it a toggle preference means that people who for some reason *want* to see what's at every step along the way still can.
