#813531 Legendary Event!

Posted by BigGrim on 27 September 2013 - 09:17

I am more the aware people want certain LE creatures to appear. Please stop posting requests for him. We get it! It will come out when it does. We have been bombarding the game with events and new additions. You are all aware of the planned work as well. Let us catch our breath, yeah?

#813455 Legendary Event!

There seems to be a gathering demand/request for a realm event involving "Thothmes the Wrathful". I'm guessing that this is so another batch of linens can come into the game for inventing scarab items.

If this is going to happen, can I also request that, simultaneously, that the "Horned Spine Chomper" be allowed out to play again, given the "gnarled horn" drop is pretty key to the scarab spike item invention.

This would facilitate more inventions and also give players a chance to add to their crystalline fragment counts ...

(waits to get jumped on for suggesting this ... )

#813237 Should higher level creatures drop common items now that composing has been r...

I didn't vote. There's an option missing:

Every creature should drop something even if it's a smelly sock or a wooly scarf.

#813134 Composing and potential Upgrades

Posted by BigGrim on 25 September 2013 - 08:48

For those of you complaining about not using enough LE/SE shards at the beginning? It's because it is the BEGINNING! New players who can compose as they level will not have huge reserves of LE/SE gear. So it would lock them out of composing. Remember, this has to be open to all. As players spent more time in game, composing as they go, they'll gain LE/SE items through buying, trading or hunting them. And Composing will get to a place where they'll need those shards.

This is not gonna give you super potions from the very outset, nor should it. It is something that you work at.

#812964 New Super Elites arrive!

Farming deathspinner goes against the spirit of the game. It's just another 'cheap' thing to do for players that only care about the bottom line, instead of the RPG of FS.

A SE EVENT, with the medals disabled and all gear auto fragmented would only last for as long as the event lasted. Players wanting a set, or wanting to trade items would still be able to do so, the very second the event ended. Once again, I think you're reasoning behind not wanting a SE event is flawed. You're looking at it from a very narrow angle. Searching for problems that aren't there.

Remember my first thought was that SE's needed their drop rates tweaked, but then you complained that your gear would lose value, so I mentioned a SE event, once again you found something to complain about, now you WANT the creatures to drop items, even though it contradicts your first objection.

All I'm looking for is a way to collect SE fragments without doing it the 'cheap' way. Could I go and farm the creeps and make deathspinner amulets? Of course I could, but it just feels VERY wrong to me.

As for not going to happen, Grim already commented about it, lets not write it off just yet. ;)

#812070 Need a judgement call from the cows please

Posted by BigGrim on 19 September 2013 - 16:26

I am at a loss here...
You first say tagging is in place to prevent profit making.
And then you like the idea of people going from guild to guild to make potions for those guilds with the intent to make a profit... huh.png

Why are you at a loss? I'm saying that while the Tagging is in place to prevent profit making, the idea of hiring out services to a Guild is a fairly creative work around. We are open to tweaking an idea and while this allows players to sell their services as a Guild Composer is not quite what we had in mind, it's not a bad idea.

We still don't want players using composing to flood the AH with composed potions but allowing player to stock up their Guild by hiring another player with higher composing is fine.

In any event, Hoofmaster and I discussed this and we are pretty cool with the idea of hiring out your services as a Guild Composer.

#811768 Anti Deflect is broken! I'm sure of it...

Your get your friend to flip a coin.  He does it 10 times and it comes up heads 5 times and tails 5 times.  Its a good evenly weighted coin.

IYou take that coin and flip it.  It comes up heads.  You flip it again, and it comes up heads!  you flip the coin again and OMG it comes up heads.

After 5 minutes of flipping this coin they have all been heads.  you lost count of how many in a row you have done you are just mistified by your amazing luck.  your friend is counting for you, he mentions something about you are up to 600 heads in a row!  You are both flipping out!?!

What is the chance that you flip heads again on that next one?

#811600 Composing!

Posted by Mister Doom on 15 September 2013 - 16:24

Oh and if you are in the 1600's don't count on getting many items to replenish your stock - the guide shows 13 non quest/component items between 1601 and 1700 :)

This, this I believe needs to definitely be looked at again.

The whole premise of the composing idea was to have something to do with our  leftover junk.To give value back to the common and rare items we get during our hunts again. Making higher levels either BUY from lower levels or actually hunt lower maps with the sole purpose of finding extra JUNK is quite frankly ridiculous.

I know Grim has stated that the commons/rares won't be returning to newer content, I do however sincerely hope he rethinks this stance, as it IS a mistake.

#811566 Video Rewards not working

Posted by cyrus7 on 15 September 2013 - 01:10

My friend also mentioned that she had AdBlock on and that was messing up stuff.

I have to disable AdBlock and SciptSafe (which I hate doing!) in order to view the "video rewards". However, they still don't always work.  :(

#809406 Big Problem With Relics ??

Posted by BigGrim on 02 September 2013 - 09:51

Relics belong to HCS. Guilds claiming that they 'own' a Relic and it is 'theirs' that no one else may attack are dead wrong. It does not belong to them and they are open for all to try and capture.

#808839 Development Roadmap

Rome wasn't built in a day, just be patient, the Cows are making sure Composing is done right the first time.

Is HCS rebuilding Rome??   <_<

#808653 Reset Attributes

Posted by Joshrocs on 27 August 2013 - 14:11

I think HCS should add a free reset attribute points annually or semi annually like the free skill reset. Myself being a noob and all thought It would be a bright idea to evenly distribute my attribute points and wasted hundreds of them.

I also think the price to reset it should be based on how many attribute points the player has, such as 0.1 FSP for every attribute point the player has. that means if you are a level 200 and have 400 attribute points It will cost 40 FSP to reset.

150 FSP is too expensive for player at my level which is why it should be balanced.

#807873 Update 2.2 (Global Chat)

Posted by wil72 on 22 August 2013 - 17:43

To be a " mod " you are required to hate rockers, drive a scooter, wear a big green parker with a target on the back, wear stay press trousers, like the following bands The Who, The Jam and Style Council. I take it all the appointed " mods " met these requirements? :P

Cheers.
