#823475 Cross-server Messaginga dn friends list

With the introduction to multiple servers I think it would be good to add a cross-server messaging system so we can talk to friends on other servers.

 

Some suggestions for the friends list:

 

- Display a friends world

- Display online, offline or busy (player set's to busy)

- Display what area the player is in

- Display the players level

 

- Have the option to "Hide yourself" so you can appear offline

- Have the option to hide your level, area, or world.

 

- Have the option to display no statistics to players if they're not added on your friends list, including if you're online or offline. (So basically a confirmation of a friends request, but without the message spam).

I agree completely. I think it is ridiculous having assassins in heavy armor. They should be more inclined to wear medium.

I suggested a while back adding dodge enhancements in for wearing medium armor along with the crit chance.

What vendors pay for crafted items is just plain ridiculous. Takes me 2 days of cold hard skill'in to get to level 16 leather working.

 

Costs me 17 silver 77 copper (Lime salts + Glue + Sale Price of gathered materials) to craft a pair of gloves.

 

What does vendor offer me for them? 5 silver 58 copper.... really? That doesn't even cover the cost of the lime salts and glue I had to buy from NPCs!

 

They were slightly better than the gloves I was wearing which were also level 16 gloves. So I swapped them out and I went to vendor the gloves I found off a pig.

 

How much does vendor off for those gloves which are WORSE and were a common green drop?

 

57 silver...

 

 

It's cheaper for me to farm and skin level 19 creatures, sell everything to vendor, and buy all the leather produced by the new players and craft level 2 boots over and over again which I have been doing for the last 14 leatherworking levels...

It's really annoying dragging endless amount of items and ingredients to my bank and vice versa. If we are able to ctrl click when selling items, why not enable it with the bank/vault?

Let's say I have 3 sacks.

 

1 for ham

1 for animal skins

1 for hide

 

let's say the sack for ham is full.

 

Next time I skin something, ALL the items will go into inventory instead of sack, since one of them is full. 

 

Correct scenario: Ham goes into inventory, other items go into their correct sacks.

Basic Auto Attack so I can save my poor finger the pain and aches of spamming Melee Attack.

 

Shift+Click or Double Click to move items to the sell window of a vendor instead of click and drop.

 

Yes I'm lazy but most of you guys already knew this. :P

Kinda covering the idea of "How important is the "role" in role playing" a bit, but it would be great if you could "pin" notices to the board directed at individuals, and then when checking it, a "personal messages" option could be displayed.

 

Although this can be done via forums etc. I think it would be great to have it as an in-game function. There is clearly a serious attempt to create a genuine in game economy, which I have seen the beginnings of personally, though the ability to place orders with people offline that they can pick up on would be awesome. The facility could be used to advertise guilds, open requests for people to form groups for specific purposes and many other reasons, however an in game cost should probably be attached to some options.

 

I guess I feel keeping as much of the experience in game enriches it.

Rikka, pretty sure we ran some Vaults together!

 

I think "/invite RikkaLarn" worked but there was not easy way for me to contact you beforehand.

 

the "/who" isnt very user friendly for users to find players in a certain range to "cold-call" them about a dungeon/group

 

"/who 15-19" should yeld players within that level range.  or "/who sewers" should yield all players in with that word in their current location, etc.

 

-- another note to help group formation would be the current LFG system an option of showing current players in the que.

I may have a friend who is not in the que who would happily fill the tank role if i only knew that's all we lacked for a firm group.

For those that want to venture into multiple talent trees, it would be nice if the sets were broken into groups of 2 and 3.  Put on both heavy sets and you get the same total bonus as the current heavy set.  Put on the heavy set of 3 and the light set of 2 and you get smaller bonuses of each.

Might have been suggested but i did not see it on the first page.

 

One click option with repeatable apprentice quests. accepting and opening up the dropbox for delivery with one click in stead of 5/6.

 

If it is a matter of RL stamina investment leave it like it is or if it is a matter of RL time investment let the apprentice "check the delivery" for 10 second or so.

At the moment they are colour coded, so orange is heroic and green is fine. The fact it's not on the tooltip for accessories is an oversight on our part. We'll get it fixed for a future build. :)

 

For reference in the meantime, ranks you're likely to come across:

Mundane is grey, Common is white, Fine is green, Rare is blue and Heroic is orange
