#896841 Make The Halloween Boxes available to purchase with Treats

Posted by Mongo on 30 October 2014 - 08:08

I really think this should happen. With the Christmas event, everyone was in with a chance of completing the event achievements. Unfortunately this time the vast majority of those who can even try and complete the achievements are those who can afford the "buy" them.

This is not fair in my opinion, as achievements are a really big part of the game for some players and they will have no way of getting them. They can buy the items from other players, but that in itself is going to cost EP (or real money).

You got the Christmas Event spot on in this regard. Even if you make the boxes cost lots of treats, you would also prolong the longevity of the event because players would need to grind out treats = boxes. :)

Please note, I have no interest in achievements myself that is why I have still not done any except the ones I gained naturally through game play. This suggestion is for the benefit of everyone, not me.

(If they are available for treats and I have just not found them, then please disregard)

#894941 simple yet lazy way get Clan/Guild chat

Posted by penmen22 on 17 October 2014 - 02:02

Quit being mean you jerks. You can easily tell what he/she is saying. English isn't everyone first language, and even if it is, there can still be many problems.

tl;dr of OP: Make the F6 chat system into a lazy man's guild until the real one comes out. Pay a small amount of money to make the F6 chat permanent.

#890493 5 Minute Cooldown on Resurrection

Posted by ZeusIV on 21 September 2014 - 21:06

Missed this thread yesterday and today.

Like the idea of increasing the need for more strategy but there are too many holes in the way this 5min cooldown is implemented. Not thought out and not tested!

vAes1K5.gif

I don't want to have to use another program to communicate with other players. Don't want to have to talk to them and disturb people around me. Don't want them to hear me swearing under my breath. I posted a suggestion of Stock Phrases here http://forums.hunted.../65527-widgets/ which would help a bit. You could make it a text to speech thing too because sometimes the battle is so heated you don't look at the chat window and can't always see bubbles.

Change it so that if a player is already being rezed then another rez does nothing (what is the point of two rezes? it doesn't halve the time. should it?) Rezes canceled should not be counted so should not cause cooldown.

Make a rez scroll that is available to any class that reduces cast time and cooldown that can be boosted in talent trees. rangers rather than sins should have the faster rez talents, it's always been our job anyway. kerching!!

Have quick rez with no cooldown when not in battle. Having it the same just wastes time. Where is the stratergy in that?

Allow talking after death :) spooky maybe allow it if you have a ouija board doodah that can be bought. kerching!!

#886741 make it so you cant see friends list or who logs in when at trappers atol.

Posted by RISDMAC on 21 August 2014 - 11:15

To all the comments saying a proper risk/reward system is needed this is getting a little off topic -

HCS have already commented in a recent update that this is going to be worked on after the hardware rending changes have been finalised. They will be looking at increasing the risk from the perspective of the PVPer and also buffing lower players to stand more of a chance against PVPing max levels and a general rebalance of TA.

In its current state, many feel that being able to tag pvpers in friends list as an early warning is an exploit, myself included, and I would fall under the gatherer category rather than PVPer.

I know that some of you would disagree and say that you need the early warning to avoid losing your mats but that is part of the risk incurred while gathering on TA - the benefit is that you get more mats per gather and can stack to 999 + the extra skill xp earned from gathering more mats. With the increased camera angles you have a clear view of your surroundings which should be plenty of time to leave if you wish to do so if you think a PVPer is approaching you. If you don't think the benefit is worth the risk then you really should gather elsewhere rather than request the benefit of TA in a risk free environment - again just how I feel on the issue.

You know why they make these changes? Because people do the "I quit because of ______" threads all the time.  They complain because things aren't hard or challenging enough.  They make forum posts because they're unhappy.  So what do the devs do? Make it harder because of grieving on the forums. Is it fair? I don't think so, but what choice do they have?

TR was one of my favorite dungeons to run.  I haven't tried it with the changes, but I'm already disheartened by what you've stated as change is not always a good thing. Some things should just be left alone.

#872698 Please add solo content

Posted by PhurieDae on 11 June 2014 - 09:22

Change the priorities before it's too late. :)

My views on twitch is more than the total online players, and youtube is more than the total players you have. been trying my best to get some people to get in, but they gradually quit.

I am not showing off, just telling the facts. :)

And that is why we are focusing on improving the game from the beginning and then moving up the levels - to keep as many players as possible. If people aren't having fun from the start, they're not going to stay until level 45.

#872685 Please add solo content

Posted by l3fty on 11 June 2014 - 08:14

We've said we are going to add the solo dungeons and other solo content.

The problem is, there are only 7 or 8 full time developers working on Eldevin at the moment. We can't do everything at once, and some of these changes take more careful work than you might appreciate.

We're starting this process at the beginning. This may not benefit you immediately, however it is the intelligent thing to do as we lose the most players very early on in the game. Othalo Guardhouse has simply been rebalanced for one player, the other dungeons will have an actual solo mode; which is another system for us to make.

Stop making quit threads as they are against the rules of the forum.

#870866 Why I'm Upset About Templar Changes

Posted by Anakiro on 30 May 2014 - 22:19

I understand that you're upset about the changes. We always monitor feedback and we'll be looking at reactions next week.

However, we will not stand for abusive language and sexual references on these forums. Our games are also played by a younger audience, so I hope you guys understand why I've edited some of your posts to remove swearing and such.

I'm not saying don't have the discussion, but I am asking you to follow the house rules while you do so.

#866619 A Soul in Need, a Friend in Me

Posted by Maury Bund on 02 May 2014 - 20:39

With the current population base, it is tough to find dungeon runs. There are many of us at EoC still trying to find enough runs to get a full set. Those looking for lower tier instances, I'm sure are having an even tougher time. This is going to discourage player retention, if it hasn't already lost us quite a few. I'm sure many EoC players, who are still working to get equipment, really wouldn't mind helping on these lower runs, but are either spending their time trying to get at level gear or look at the cost of repairs on wear alone vs possible drops being too upside down to make it worth the time. What I want to propose is that there should be a daily quest set for each dungeon below your level, similar to Test of Might, that would benefit players of all levels.

Rewards would be fixed (not a bag of random draw) and be based on a multiplier for each Current Level Player (dungeon level-1 to dungeon level+3) an Above Level Players runs through. Zero Current will equal no rewards. The more Current Level Players run through, the more work for the Above Level Player, but also a bigger reward.

I would suggest choices of (for each Current Player on team):

10) Boondocks: .25 AP, .25 Above Player Relic Tokens, 10 Silver, x Prestige Points

15) Vault: .50 AP, .25 Above Player Relic Tokens, 25 Silver, x Prestige Points

20) Ohdar Scar: .75 AP, .5 Above Player Relic Tokens, 50 Silver, x Prestige Points

25) GC or SV: 1 AP, .5 Above Player Relic Tokens, 75 Silver, x Prestige Points

30) GC or SV: 1.25 AP, .75 Above Player Relic Tokens, 100 Silver, x Prestige Points (must complete 25 1st)

35) To3: 1.5 AP, 1 Above Player Relic Tokens, 125 Silver, x Prestige Points

40)TR: 1.75 AP, 1.25 Above Player Relic Tokens, 150 Silver, x Prestige Points

45+ dungeons can be extended on, once new content is added.

In this, I left x for Prestige Points value, as I have no relation as to what it should be as I never take it (as most probably don't either).

Using this model, can you get as many tokens from running TR as you do RG or BT? Yes, but it is only once a day, and if you only run the 45 level dungeons once, with the daily, you can get 6-7 tokens on the run, but still have potential to keep running it for more.

This will also help those trying run Ohdar, or others, to go back and run Vault or Boondocks to help add to their token totals. This is not just for EoCer's.

Another possible reward for EoCer's that run 4 Current Level players through an instance would be a FIXED (no multiplier used) 1 Ascended Token for 10-25, and 2 Ascended Tokens for 30-40.
