#951195 New PvP Recipes!

Posted by BigGrim on 15 October 2015 - 17:35

Hi there Everyone!

A few new bits for the Ladder today!

First, we have added three brand new recipes for potion filled chests! These can be bought from Kirk the Kleavers Killin' Shop in the Colosseum of Gurgriss, on the Mountain Path as usual! These potions are not as powerful as the Season versions but have a much greater duration in the case of the Crystal and Golden versions! These are constructed using the PvP Trophy or Spirit of PvP. There has also been a sixth potion added to the selection!

Additionally, we have added a box next to the slider bar on player profiles for those of you who wish to type a specific number in. The slider bar itself has also been updated to work on touch interfaces properly as well!

We hope you like these additions and look forward to constructive feedback in this thread.

#951080 Do you think 'RP Farming' i ruining the game if it helps improve the...

Posted by yotekiller on 14 October 2015 - 02:23

In my  view, if you are going to pit your guild against another, then members of that guild should be online.

Guild vs Guild means just that.

It does not mean smack the snot out of members of a guild that are offline, in stam gear and no buffs.

Make it so it's more guild on guild.

And most certainly it does not mean smack the same guild over and over and over and over.  That is RP FARMING and yes I think it's bad for the game.

Shall they set an appointment for a week from Friday while they are at it?  TED literally has people from around the world.  Are all of them supposed to be online at the same time before a gvg can happen?  Really?  Don't like getting hit in stam gear?  Don't wear it.  That's the risk you take for the reward you want.  You don't have to stay buffed 24/7 but you do have to wear something worth buffing by your guild mates.  At least TRY to make it more difficult on the attacking guilds.

#950942 Speed levelling - stam gain vs. max stam

Posted by rowbeth on 11 October 2015 - 07:24

It all depends on how much money you have to throw at the game, and the way you choose to play. So there is no universal answer to your question. But if you already have 28k max stam, then the answer is probably that you should invest in better epics.

Fundamentally, max stam means longer hunts which means you get more out of your buffs and potions. Stam gain means you get more stamina more quickly and lets you level up faster.

I've never been prepared to buy potions/buffs that I couldn't sustain from the proceeds of hunts, so in my case, longer hunts meant better buffs and so faster levelling. But if you are prepared to put real money into buying those buffs, then this issue won't affect your rate of levelling.

If you buff yourself, then the more stam you can hunt with, the smaller the percentage you use on buffing rather than levelling. But by the time you have 28k max stam this effect is pretty small (doubling your max stam is comparable with improving your stam gain by about +1 or +2), and you will get much more benefit from your FSPs buy buying more stam gain instead of upping the max stam.

Max Stam does help you benefit from double XP events, but they only happen twice a year, and so you need a LOT of max stam for this to dominate your rate of levelling. (And then you'd spend most of your time not playing FS!)

#950919 Speed levelling - stam gain vs. max stam

Posted by Undjuvion on 10 October 2015 - 23:01

If I'm doing my math right, I think spending all my fsp on max stamina is going to make a bigger difference in how fast I can level compared to the hourly gain I'd get from spending fsp on purchasing better epics. Can anyone confirm or negate this?

you have 28k stam, to be honest anything over 40 or 50k is overkill so you have plenty already, epics are cheaper than ever and pay themselves off so quickly, like really quickly, i wont whine over that fact, id start with epics then if u feel more stam is needed go for it, 28k is plenty for how many global chests get thrown at us for FREE :)

edit: wasting stam is the killer, u can do as good with 18k stam ;) xp event wise better to spend that fsp on current stam than max stam ;)
