- I finally got it through my head that armor works differently in PvP compared to PvE. If I hit somebody who has a higher armor stat than my damage stat, I might hit successfully, but each hit is going to do only 1 damage... and I will eventually lose that battle.
- A setup with high attack and high defense seems to work the best both for attacking and defending.
- Damage is only important as far as having enough to get past the defender's armor/hp. Past that, damage is not important.
- When defending, you want the attacker to miss. every. time. Therefore, your defense can't be too high.
- To get a high defense, you need the proper gear AND the proper buffs. Just half of the equation is not good enough.
- The best buffs I've found for defending are Deflect, Shield Wall, Nightmare Visage, and Barricade. You'll also need Dispel Curse, Sealed, Demoralize, Empower, Keen Edge (boosts NV), Force Shield, and Flinch. Since I was wearing a weapon with high attack and defense stats, EW1000 also helped a good deal.
- If you're set up well, chances are decent that the attacker will miss the first hit. In that situation, you want enough attack to be able to hit them back successfully. Again, Keen Edge is your friend.
- Any buff that says something about base attack, base defense, base armor, and/or base damage is worthless for me because my base stats (Attributes) are next to nothing. The possible exception to this is maybe using a Potion of Fury that has a Berserk high enough to actually work with my 1,993 base damage points. Now that I know this, I'm seriously considering paying for a skills reset because I have a lot of skill points assigned to ineffective buffs.
- When attacking, you still want a high defense because it's rare to finish the fight in the first hit.
- The best buffs I've found for attacking (besides Shield Wall, Sealed, Demoralize, Empower, Keen Edge, Flinch, and Enchant Weapon) are Anti-Deflect, Anti-Deflect, and Anti-Deflect. Also incredibly useful are, Dark Curse, Dark Curse, and Dark Curse.
- You're going to attack the same players more than once, so Spell Leech and Spell Breaker aren't bad ideas.
- Keep in mind that buffs that say x% chance of blah blah blah are not guaranteed.
- Make sure the buffs you're using will actually work in PvP. For example, Death Dealer only works against creatures.
- Do NOT use Nightmare Visage or Barricade when attacking. You need that attack (and probably damage too), so don't transfer it to defense.
- I found that it was often a good idea to pay more in the buff market for a buff from a seller who has Extend, 135% Sustain, and a level 10 Mage Tower in comparison to a less expensive buff that isn't going to last as long.
- I wasted a lot of stamina learning the ropes in the beginning. After a while, I listened to what others were saying on the forums and just stopped attacking. I built up stamina and then went on an attacking spree just a couple hours before the end of the season. I chose a time when most people were not only offline, but by that point their defensive buffs had run out too. This guaranteed me a spot in the Crystal League because there wasn't enough time for people to attack me back to drop me to Gold before the end of the season. However, this also means that I didn't spend too much time in the Crystal League making it harder for me to get a Dominance medal.
- If your attack is deflected, you don't lose the 50 stamina. ![]()
- Since each bounty attack costs 50 stamina, make sure that the reward per hit is at least as much as the gold you would get from hitting creatures with 50 stamina... unless you're going for a bounty medal.
- You need all the stamina you can get for attacking during the Season. So don't bounty hunt if you're also participating in the Season.
- Advancing through the Wood League takes 10 successful attacks. The Bronze League takes 20 successful attacks. The Silver League takes 40. Gold takes 60. So if you want to make it into Crystal, you need an absolute minimum of 130 successful attacks. Your attack success ratio depends on gear, buffs, and how much gold you want to spend skipping stronger players. For the purpose of example, let's say you have a 75% win rate. That means if you attack 260 times, you'll lose 65 times. Each loss doesn't just spend the stamina, it also cancels out one win. Not only do you NOT get the win, you also have to win one extra time to get back to where you were. So 65 losses cancels out 65 wins. Out of 260 total attacks, 75% hit rate means you'll get the 130 wins. However, if you have your 130 wins to get into Crystal, just one loss pushes you back to Gold. So plan on creating a buffer of a number of wins so you can't be pushed back easily. Let's say 20 more wins or 40 total attacks. This brings us to a total of 300 attacks. Multiply by 50 stamina each, and that brings us to a lump sum of 15,000 stamina necessary over the course of the season. If you do your attacks all at once at the end of the season, this may be all you need. If you want to go for the Dominance medal and spend some time in the Crystal League from the beginning, you will need to attack more often to account for the additional losses of being attacked by players jockeying for position. In order to stay in Crystal for the whole time, plan on doubling the stamina needed. If you're staying in Crystal, you won't be wearing stam gear because it's undefensible. For example's sake, let's say 90 stam/hr giving us 2,160 per day. 2,160 * 8 = 17,280. So to stay in Crystal the entire time, you better have a full 15k stam bank at the beginning of the season. If you only want to make Crystal at the end, you should be ok with a stam bank of 10,000. This also doesn't take into account any times you buff yourself though.
- Plan on using the buff market a LOT. I dropped about 50fsp to keep myself continuously buffed for defense. Now that I am more informed as to which buffs I need and which ones I don't, I'll be paying substantially less. Also, if you stay in the Wood League until the very end, you'll save a ton.

We've already acknowledged this.
Successful being when you manage to hit the opponent.
Wrong. Attacker can break a spell even if he/she doesnt manage to hit at all, just evade deflect.
This has been brought up several times and is just wrong... not to mention possible exploit.
The way it works right now, a naked player with SB only, could strip you off the buffs in season.
Logical solution would be, that SB and SL activation takes place after the winner is determined, and only then a buff can be leeched or broken. Why should someone who lost a combat get rewarded for that? Makes no sense whatsover.
Or at least make it so that at minimum 1 damage needs to be done by the attacker for SB/SL to work, i could live with that too...
Example how it works now below... how on earth is this successful?

I also agree with that stm cost should be reduced, and on fsp upgrade with 1 fsp you can buy 25 current stm, so by now to hit an player once if you were without stm you would need to spend 2 fsp to hit only once :0
If it was changed to 25 stm per pvp hit it would not sink so much stm as it did now.
[and if an change like that be made it should already work on the beginning of the next pvp season - but this time a Lot stm was sunk maybe making even unviable an global event this month - so this time an reasonable rewards should be taken in consideration to reward well the comunity - and later if hits be 25 stm the prizes can be rethough or weakened].
[on the old system, about 90% of the time players most players attaked with 10 stm and 10% of the times players attacked with 100 stm - that shows how 50 stm per hit is too high - that average I wrote here would be: 0.9 X 10 + 0.1 X 100 = 19 stm on average, so 25 stm is still acceptable if we no longer be able to make 10~100 stm hits • but would personally prefer to be able to set an attack within 10~100 stm].

the guys that got the top positions swooped in at the end or were lower levels and weren't contested...
Will you stop complaining? The two top player where up there the nearly the entire time... And i can assure you they were hit just as much as you were... Im right in the middle of them and have 2 full pages of attacks in the last 4 hours, but i won half of them because i buffed up a little before i logged off... Its not just you glorified EOC's that are getting attacked as you say... I promise...
Last minute rushing is a problem, but also has it's down sides. In wood league, you don't get hit continually... So you can't get ticks for defending like you can if you are sitting at the top of crystal league...
EDIT: Staying on topic: I like the idea of the new sets having a little extra stam gain. Nice idea!

I think a good leveling skill to add as reward would be a level 650 Librarian -duration 120 minute to compliment the Darksun Stash II chest and/or other container chests.
Other than Extravagant Easter Baskets and Emblazoned Royal Chests (both have all the xp buffs in them), the other chests lack Librarian skill and I'm sure those players that repeatedly get placed on BB would appreciate something higher than Lib 300 to try and recoup some of their levels.
Having a stand-alone decently high level Librarian would give more freedom to mix and match chests for a good hunt.

Lastly I believe this should be classified as a PVP global event .. HCS could still run old PVP system simultaneously or in between events. But 1 week for these events is plenty... just my opinion. No need to go ALL IN on a system when you can run both systems and keep literally everyone happy! Opt in and Opt out there for a reason/ season! ..so is PVP protect!
+1
And on my opinion I think this "PvP global event" could happen 4 or 2 times per year:
First Type of GE => X Potions Chests and Inventing GE (Zorgrom vs Shroud and Darksun: could create some recipes to this last one)
Second Type of GE => Special Chest GE (Mosquito and Zombie)
Third Type of GE => Holiday GE (Halloween and Easter)
Forth Type of GE => Frag GE (Wraiths and Pinatas) [all killing creature globals gives good amount of frags so maybe not so needed to make frag globals to happens 6 times per year].
Fifth Type of GE => PvP Season "GE"
If First~Forth type happen once per year one each month (it will be 8 months filled), and PvP Season GE could take place 4 times per year (or if you prefer make frag globals to happen 4 times per year and PvP Season to happen 2 times per year instead).
[on all those GEs players choose to either participate or not as always had been till now].
[If pvp season be live full time players won't have stm to level up / farm / SE hunt / titan hunt / GE / by spending almost all stm to try to got up to titan league or to stay on it].
[Could make titan league to keep top 50 players from each day on it for 12 hours [every 2 skip gold resets] and on the next 12 hour the system check the top 50 players with more kills to stay on titan league for that research time till it end in 5~7 days - and by the time it ends the 50 players that stood more time (in hours) on titan league get the titan league prize] - Or top 100 players to join titan league as prefered. [only after 24 hours it started that the system will make the first scan to allocate players on titan league]

People need to stop looking at the level of buffs and start looking at the duration. 24 hours with a buff running is awesome. Even better if they can be affected by brew master/pride?
The Pride skill should have always better reflected players true accomplishments, as previously mentioned and overwhelmingly supported by the community(https://forums.hunte...de/#entry912990). It has been grossly ignored like so many other suggestions. It's something the developers need to be continually reminded to update. Players deserve the RESPECT of their effort and accomplishments!

Gratz to Feral and Brice!!! Well done! Very impressive per usual with you 2!
"Some " ..again "SOME" of you dont realize ...You dont have to spend any stamina to move up if u can defend well(
I was having fun watching myself climb up the crystal ranks with out making any hits myself late last night. Once I went to bed and people either SL or SB my buffs or pots ran out I ended up lower in the ranks.

Good to hear that!
Any chance of considering placing Titan Doubler a bit lower in the skill three? There are a lot of players below lvl 2000 that hunt titans.
Titan doubler always can be found in buff market for cheap... i saw some players selling for 50k im sure its cheaper than buying loyalty potion

I have an insignificant request guys, sorry lol.
In the future new events, can we have more required gear that are not Weapons?
Would be nice to have a full set of required gear from events. Like using the Basket from Easter, the Armor from Halloween and more things, would be very nice hehehe
Nice - if you have storage to spare. Would be a real downer if you struggle with backpack space.
