Yup you're right...now 5 hours into update and 0 bounties posted...working oh so well.
If you've got some ideas on how to improve it, please post up a suggestion thread on it and lets discuss it. We/re not opposed to making changes, but lets discuss them first and see if we can agree on something the majority of the community likes

8 hours into the reset and we finally have a level 275 on the BB...yea!!!. Hoof you had the answer, the Seasons while not perfect provided more PvP activity than I've seen in years. The BB was filled with targets and with targets that provided risk with the inclusion of Hunter XP loss. HCS continually caters to the "I want to take XP from someone crowd". They are a minority in the game yet you give them a disproportionate voice in PvP matters. I don't care if I take XP from you or not but I liked the challenge of going against fully buffed higher levels in the Seasons. Many players commented that they learned alot about PvP in those 2 Seasons but will now shelve their PvP activities because you reverted back to an incredibly flawed and broken PvP system. HCS had a promising formula in your PvP update, one that could have used a little tweak here and there but one that was immensely preferable to the PvP abomination that you have reverted to.

I agree with you, asking the community is the best thing !!!
you kept bounties on the season despite players being against it because you knew that without these season bounties the BB would hardly have any activity & you were right !!!
FACT: bounties on the season increased activity on the BB !!!
FACT: when you removed PvP ladder bounties, the BB activity decreased !!!
why would you put bounties on the season but remove them from the PvP ladder and then wonder why there is hardly / no BB activity?
Bounty postings on the ladder should not be allowed for the simple reason of the potential of widespread abuse. On the 2000-2499 ladder there are 12 participants 10 of which are from the same guild known for taking 5 levels on a whim. Should someone in this guild decide they don't like someone they can devastate a player they are on the ladder with repeated take 5 bounties . On the 1500-1999 ladder there are 5 participants and 3 of them are from the aforementioned guild. No, under no circumstances should ladder hits be Bounty Board eligible. Each segment of the game should stand of it's own accord, the ladder should not be used to populate the Bounty Board.

Out of all the people that voted no it seems strange how little the amount of people on the ladders are... Were ALOT more people in seasons that opted in. If you ask me thats enough to get rid of ladders.

It's been talked about to death and overwhelmingly approved by players. I'm not sure what's the hold up? Are we going to see you around a while to continue developing the game or is it going to be the same cow delays working on other projects? I'd like to see the major PvP revamp in place before we return to enjoy "part-time" development again. Thanks Hoof!
Lou, you already saw the major PvP revamp and the "vast" majority didn't like it, so now we are back to the same old dead useless ladders and a desert of a Bounty Board where it is pillow fighting for the hunters because they suffer no XP loss. You guys got what you wanted the dismantling of the new system you're probablynot going to see any substantial changes to PvP for quite some time. Enjoy the results of the poll, you've (collective you) earned it with your incessant complaining.

If you want to improve it listen to what shindrak originally suggested for arena...IE keep the item reward on winning an arena but also give tokens for 2nd 3rd place etc. His idea got totally butchered and now the arena is subpar.
That's what we demanded, we want HCS to bring back items AND gold arenas, how arena used to work back in time and combine it with the current token system for 2nd and 3rd place which combined equals shindrak's original idea, but they refuse to listen to the community, for reasons they don't want to tell.

I agree, would even widen 'em further above lvl 900 so each bracket has 500 lvls worth. Not really that much difference in stats while buffed/potted and most hit their targets while they are offline anyways..or maybe it was just me being pummeled while I was working or sleeping?
Guildies should not be allowed to hit guildies. It would be easily abused.
Ladder hits should not be able to be posted on the board, as some will abuse this, to scare of other participants. Support should however be acting swiftly, if a player reports abusive behavior or foul use of language (and provides screenshots) to try and ensure a somewhat civilized tone on any and all brackets.
As for the rating system, it is a joke as it. The way I can build my rating while it is high, compared to how fast I can lose it all to somewhat with a low rating, in no way shows anything. Make things like initiated attacks, successful defendings, attacks on online targets etc count.
The timer on the ladder should stay as was. It worked fine, and we had a hard time speculating in when we should hit (aka when it was initially launched, ppl only hit within the last hour or so). Maybe check up on the "random time generator" as there was a system to it..or at least it seemed so ![]()
And as much as I hate to say so, and I really really really do ... I am not sure XP loss should be a part of the ladder, if we are aiming to have more participants who may like the XP they have gotten through hunting.
Not having XP loss would also remove the idea of a guild owning a bracket, simply by massive attendance - since they can not do any real harm.
Think that is it for now... flame me away, I know... and I never thought I would speak up for no XP loss on something PvP related, but hey ... didn't we use to agree on the ladder not being "real" PvP anyways?
Oh, and for the love of anything unholy; Do not reactivate the ladder, b4 you have worked on it. Better to leave it out entirely, till it has been re-done.

Leave the bands as is below 1k? I struggled mightily back at the low levels where my only option was to level out of range.Anyone super opposed to increasing the band ranges a bit?
Anytime non pvprs get whacked a lot (like smasher medal intro and original seasons intro) you got a deluge of complaints. Most just don't watch the forums so I would tread carefully. Might even want to post a message in game.

I'm not too sure how worthwhile it is to keep this thread rolling after the recent the changes, but I'm still reading anyway.
I'll restate: there have been "yes", "sometimes", "rarely" and "no" votes. All of them are valid. They come from different experiences and perspectives.
Somebody asked me a couple days ago in game what the "root cause" was of me deciding to post this... I am not 100% sure what the "correct" answer is to that.
In short, I guess it was meant to be what I considered to be a long overdue wake-up call to HCS. Feedback is necessary to correct errors.
In my "personal" case, response from HCS has always been reasonable. However, I rarely rock the boat. For years, I've been seeing some of the cases that are mentioned in this thread.
I understand the complicated nature of HCS setting down "strict guidelines" for players because somebody will always come to push the line.
However, the team needs to establish guidelines. There needs to be recourse for players that feel a decision was unjust.
Hence, I was pleased in seeing that Hoof sat down with the team to such an end. Hopefully, this will hope to reevaluate knee-jerk reactions.
Again, this thread was not created to "get what I want". Players need to heed what I think Hoof said quite clearly and what I fully agree with: It's impossible to make everyone happy.
However a player decides to play FS, they need to realize that there are others that play differently.
I'm often disgusted, quite literally, by the me-me attitude throughout FS. For me, it's juvenile and misguided.
I personally believe that HCS staff gets disgusted by the wave of complaints that roll in on every improvement they try to make. However, they need to be clear on their reaction to those.
HCS does not have an easy job. But it IS their job. I simply plead some objectivity on that front. Step back and let it wash over where relevant. Listen, but don't react. There "is" some input there.

What a fantastic report card! I think this is the most significant poll I've ever seen in the game. If the staff has the fortitude for it could there be a link to the game to ask EVERYONE to vote and comment? I'm so happy players can finally feel empowered to tell HCS how they feel about the game without hopefully being condemned/muted/bullied/censored/suspended/terminated! Players have been walking on eggshells for far too long. I have significantly curtailed my posting lately, but again, I really don't care about the repercussions because I am no longer an ardent player, meaning I have relinquished the fact that my time and money spent on this game is irreparable. But I'm going to write this opinion just like I've written 1000s of other posts over the years - honestly and openly and BY THE RULES!
I would have voted 'sometimes' but sadly I had to honestly vote NO. Particular HCS staff responds horribly and unprofessionally to players' constructive criticism! I would have voted that they used to respond well to players had there been that option.
As I usually do, let me explain WHY I voted this way - and there are many reasons. When I started playing this game at the end of '07(yes, that is 7.5 years ago) I was like any new player. I had never played any other types of games online. As I was learning the game I headed here to the forum to learn more. At that time Hoofmaster, believe it or not, regularly interacted with players and their ideas to improve the game here in the forum. By regular I mean he would appear almost daily! It was exciting, as it still is, when you saw Hoof's name appear and then he asked YOU questions, made an immediate decision, and then like magic a change occurred to the game that improved it. It was a lot of fun! I donated $1000s of disposable income over the years. It was worth the entertainment value.
As a player, I was proud to have been a part of convincing Hoof(and without his approval NOTHING happens and we know it) of many substantial game improvements: capping +1% towards next level upgrade, buffs like constitution changed to work in PvP, and adding the blocking messages just to name a few. There is a consistent need for game development!
Then slowly other HCS games started to appear. HCS began to try to repeat the same formula that made their cash cow, pun intended, a success. HCS was growing. They built and moved into a new fancy studio. Eldeven was talked about being in development for YEARS, but nothing seemed on the horizon. Sigmastorm2 came, then it went. Ironically, that game was a precursor to what has happened here.
And as businesses grow new problems arise, and attention to detail always wanes. Hoof became less of a presence on FS. Authority was delegated. Development that needed coding nearly disappeared, or became so infrequent it seemed as though it did. As complaints began to rise, some players quit. Others became more vocal, one of which I was. I was still having fun under the circumstances. However I was starting to be admonished heavily for my "disruptive" and "toxic" tone. How many others have been labeled deviants in such a way? I was PERMANENTLY banned from the forum multiple times(lol ironically) alongside so many other prominent players. My favorite example is how Stangvalle was voted by the community as the Game's Most Influential Player yet concurrently was excluded from the forum by HCS. Dissent was growing and the tyrannical bullying started to try and hide players criticism more often, something which has continued to this day!
The issues have never disappeared! All the post deletions and forum bans in the world don't make the problems and player's dissatisfaction and disenchantment disappear. Now the game is at a precipice in my humble opinion. An opinion that used to make donations. As a result of the game's current very poor development, any action HCS makes moving forward, if any, comes a little too late. I have made up my mind that there will be no revival of the game for me. I have moved on. Sorry HCS, you have lost my business!

ARENA
- bring back item & gold tournaments
1st place gets the item / gold & NO Arena Tokens
2nd place gets 50% of the items worth in Tokens (% can be changed, this was only an example)
3rd place gets 25% of the items worth in Tokens (% can be changed, this was only an example)
EXAMPLE:
(tournament with Potion of the Brewers Art as a reward, in the Arena Token Shop = 100 Arena Tokens)
1st place gets the Potion of the Brewers Art
2nd place gets 50 Arena Tokens
3rd place gets 25 Arena Tokens
- Introduce NEW ARENA recipes that use the old arena items + Elite items + LE items + in some cases SE items
This will keep the arena prices high for a longer time & give HCS more time before they need to put new prices + will drive more players into the arena to make some profit
IMPORTANT: OMACAZ chest (=inventor chest) should NOT work with the NEW ARENA recipes !!!!
Titan Hunting
- introduce NEW EPIC recipes
EXAMPLE:
Deepwater Choker (amulet) + Feather Amulet of Kantec (amulet) + 2 different SE amulets = NEW EPIC AMULET
Arcing Sabatons of Cyclonus (boots) + Skaldirs Frostbitten Steps (boots) + 2 different SE boots = NEW EPIC BOOTS
Venoxa Tox Gland (rune) + Fuvayus Vortex Stone (rune) + 2 different SE runes = NEW EPIC RUNE
- Introduce a 2nd cool down (personal cool down) for everyone who did more than >25% kills of the secured Titan !!!
EXAMPLE 1:
“John” from the guild “HCA” secured SOLO the “Lestus Titan”
The guild “HCA” will be on 1 week cool down BUT “John” will be on 1 month cool down
This will ensure that not only a few (fastest hunters) will be able to profit from this but the others (average, slow & those who will start titan hunting) + it will keep the epic values high for a longer time
EXAMPLE 2:
“John” (60% kills) and “Katy” (40% kills) from the guild “HCA” secured the “Lestus Titan”
The guild “HCA” will be on 1 week cool down BUT both “John” and “Katy” will be on 1 month cool down because each one of them has more than >25% kills !!!
EXAMPLE 3:
“John” (40% kills), “Katy” (40% kills) and Mark (20% kills) from the guild “HCA” secured the “Lestus Titan”
The guild “HCA” will be on 1 week cool down BUT “John” and “Katy” will be on 1 month cool down EXCEPT for “Peter” who will be on 1 week cool down since he has less than <25% kills !!!!
EXAMPLE 4:
“John” from the guild “HCA” got enough TKP (not secures) from the “Lestus Titan” for the guild “HCA” to buy the epic
Both the guild “HCA” and “John” will be on 1 week cool down since “John” got the epic with only TKP !!!
This will not only increase titan hunting activity to secure titans, it will even increase titan hunting for TKP (NON secures) for players to avoid the 1 month cool down + be advantageous for slow!!!
Increase the spawn rate of ALL titans
(there are currently 24 titans that randomly spawn, NOT including the seasonal titans or the 4 elemental titans !!!)
IMPORTANT: OMACAZ chest (=inventor chest) should NOT work with the NEW EPIC recipes !!!!
Super Elites
- introduce NEW SE recipes to combine the old SE items to get a NEW SE item
=> brings back value to the SE items !!!
- NEW SE should spawn in random maps UP to the SE level (can be done to the old SE too)
EXAMPLE:
NEW 1500 SE should spawn in random maps from 1 – 1500
There could even be a “SE event” where the spawn rate time is HALFED & the number of maps the titan usually spawns DOUBLED (+maybe DOUBLE the drop rate too) !!!
The introduction to adding SE items to invent NEW SE + NEW ARENA + NEW TITAN recipes will increase the SE items value + increase the SE hunting activity !!!
IMPORTANT: OMACAZ chest (=inventor chest) should NOT work with the NEW SE recipes !!!!
PvP
!!! FIRST what I am mentioning here applies to PvPer vs PvPer, it does NOT affect NON-PvPers !!!!
- DEFLECT needs to be changed so that after each deflected attack the time you can attack again is halfed by 50% until 15 minutes waiting time !!!
EXAMPLE
“John” attacks “Peter” and gets deflected (“John” can attack after 30 minutes again instead of 60 minutes)
“John” attacks “Peter” a 2nd time and gets deflected again (“John” can attack after 15 minutes again)
“John” attacks “Peter” a 3rd time and gets deflected again (“John” can attack after 15 minutes again)
“John” attacks “Peter” a 4th time and is successful (“John” can attack after 60 minutes again)
I have always hated DEFLECT, it drove me crazy, worst was getting 17 deflects in a row by the same player on the ladder, I wasted tons of stamina & time for NOTHING
- Certain powerful LUCKY skills like Dispel Curse, Golden Shield, Invert, High Guard should NOT work !!!
Once 1 or more of these powerful LUCKY skills activate you can kiss your calculations goodbye and a very high chance you will lose the combat !!!
(please remember how damaging the old sealed & old reflection skills were to PvP until HCS "fixed" them)
- Composing Skills should NOT work except for Pride, Anti Deflect, Gloat, Brute Strength, (Buff Enhancer) BUT EPIC chests & global chests should work !!!
I believe that one of the reasons why PvP was so vibrant years ago was because it was kept simple (=NOT overpowered skills) where we had many different PvP setups (even elite & champion items were used) to change into & where skill & experience greatly mattered, NOT who has the highest pots / chests !!!
2 experienced PvPers using high lvl composing pots will get unresolved combats or best case scenario a 2% !!!
IMO this is NOT how PvP should be !!!
Go and take a look at the composing max skills at http://wiki.fallensw...llowable_Skills and you might understand (I already tested it and even saw some players using it)
(fully buffed skills lvl 187 & potted up (EW1725, ..) at my level I can get about 100k armor (+armor boost 345, coord defense403) with all the high lvl composing pots, adding sanctuary460 (= +46%armor) and entrench230 (=+57,5% of damage is transferred to armor) => this gives me about 150k armor !!! the highest damage my opponent can muster with the highest composing pots & buffs & potion is about 150k damage using suicide setup BUT terrorize403 takes away -40,3% of his damage leaving him with about 90k damage in the end !!! so in the end my 150k armor against his 90k damage !!!

DO NOT misunderstand, I AM NOT AGAINST composing in general, I use composing pots for ALL my hunts, be it SE hunting, titan hunting or leveling),composing is very popular and has helped many players to beat titans who had trouble before + help players easily 1-hit kill creatures + and so on BUT I believe for PvP it is doing more harm than good ![]()
- For the new PvP Tournament introduce “Synthesize”
“Synthesize” is an Artisanship like “Crafting” and “Hell Forge” BUT with the difference that it uses “Soul Stones” too which can be acquired as rewards from the PvP Tournament instead of “PvP Ladder Tokens”
“Synthesize” can increase your items stats, pots and chests skills depending on the Synthesize-level !!!
Synthesized items, pots & chests will have a “+” next to their names !!!
This way HCS will not need to worry about releasing new items or pots for the ladder + this will increase PvP activity and even get players to start doing PvP :-D
- I do not know how the new PvP Tournament will look like BUT hope you will include the BOUNTY BOARD with it !!!
You saw what happened to the BB after you removed bounties from the PvP ladder despite many saying it should stay because it would obviously affect the BB in a bad way and the result was even less BB-activity & the PvP ladder – activity stayed the same or even got worse !!!
There were a very few cases where someone who would sit on the PvP ladder (PvP Tournament) and not do any attacks BUT bounty all incoming attacks so to counter that make it that you will have to do at least 1 attack in order to be able to bounty on the PvP ladder (PvP Tournament)
LEGENDARY EVENTS
- Spawn LOW Level Legendary Creatures More Often
to be honest I would like to see ALL level LE events more often BUT low lvl LE events much more than the higher ones of course
mabye something like this: (this is just an EXAMPLE)
1 - 100 => every week (very important for NEW players to be able to farm their own LE sets)
101 - 500 => every 2 weeks
501 - 1000 => every 4 weeks
1001 - EOC => every 8 weeks
CHESTS
- Release new rewards
LAST:
@HCS: When you add new rewards to the ladder, arena, GvG then please make sure you treat everyone the same meaning if you add new items to the arena to buy with old arena tokens then do the same with RP and PvP ladder tokens too!!!
ps: I am very impressed with the recent LE sets, they fit perfectly into the PvP / offline setups and even improve them, excellent work !!!
