#898106 Bonfire Night!

Posted by yotwehc on 05 November 2014 - 15:26

so of those 24 hours in a day when you aren't working there's no possibility of not spotting one in the 15 hour region?

i've had bad luck with titans aswell waiting untill 1 am to see if something spawns and then at 3 am when i go to sleep something pops up and you go argh.

they will pop up plenty of times if you want one just plan to get one ...

Do you realize most of the titans have been manually spawned? When they don't appear at xx:00, it means that HCS has manually summoned them into the realms. If you take manual spawns, it's more random and even. Manual spawns are not.

There have been a total of 25 seasonal spawns. 7 spawned by the system. 18 spawned by HCS and only during EU business hours. Is it bad luck when it's manually summoned?

#897800 What's really important in Fallen Sword

Posted by Davros81 on 04 November 2014 - 08:32

I believe a good thing that HCS can create is a new tab on our profile called "mentoring", a place where you can add ANY number of players below lvl 250, you'll not receive any prize for that, and other players can accept the same player too, so you can see if the player comes online and help easily.

That will help a lot to keep new players on the game.

We had the beginnings of this type of idea semi implemented into the game, however as we all know it was thought about a lot, mentoring was added, in the sense there was a list you could put your name on, then nothing further.

I would like to see the development roadmap actually being progressed and not just the timescales being pushed back and for random things to just be inserted into the list, which are neither critical or server any purpose. I have to say I have not seen a genuine improvement to this game in at least a year, which is very sad. Time to bring Hoofmaster back to control and run the game, under his guidance this game was flourishing, now it is in a rapid decline which is very sad. :(

#897694 Event Thoughts

Posted by Pardoux on 03 November 2014 - 18:23

Bottom line folks - WE failed the event (well, not failed the event, but failed to reach ruby) .... was the lowering of the personal kill requirement a factor ? - perhaps, perhaps not - but WE didn't do enough kills to warrant reaching ruby, despite the fantastic surge of activity in the last few hours.

As for further rewards for those going above and beyond, I disagree - see my post earlier.

I've thought about this in the past, but this system rewards those with higher stamina banks (generally higher level players).

Higher level players having more of those epic potions than lower level players just widens the gap further between older and newer players - and thus makes reaching the higher echelons of the game even harder.

Whilst I dispute that getting to EOC very quickly is something "essential" (racing to EOC means you miss out on so much along the way), a lot of newer players see the massive disparity between Level 1 and Level 2300 as a major deterrant to sticking around.

#897187 Halloween Event Not Plausible

Posted by BadPenny on 01 November 2014 - 10:54

I did my part and then some... I'm NOT the only one.  But, we only have so much stam to burn.  I know I'll never make top 100, I just don't have the resources to attain enough stam, and if even I did, there is the time factor.

The totals may have been more realistic had there not been so many other activities to do at the same time  I'm sure the fact that many are holding out for Titans that appear to be mostly MIA, and others are busy finishing the spooky quests so that they can be eligible for said Titans has a lot to do with the low kill totals.

Then there are the LE's to contend with, always fun, but very much distracting from the global beasties as well.

Finally, there are our precious ZB's... They are our Pokemon, we gotta have 'em..

So, which critters give the big "points"?  You guessed it, the one with the least use to us...

There you have it... with a lower player base than ever before, and so many things to do at one time, it's no wonder we can't get the ball rolling.  Yeah, the goal here is unrealistic. Sorry, Big Guy, your math is very very flawed this year.

#896701 Suggestion to the everyday lag

Posted by BadPenny on 29 October 2014 - 16:46

Then your daily  plan is flawed... wait till AFTER that lag time (we all know it's coming, it means FS is working right, after all) THEN buy your buffs and start hunting.... Surely you don't think that Cow time revolves around you, right?

You can't plan for 15 minutes? Really?

#896628 Suggestion to the everyday lag

Posted by cyrus7 on 29 October 2014 - 11:07

The lag at 09:00 only lasts about 3 minutes while the ranks/stats update, and the lag at 09:45 is kind of on and off for under 15 minutes until the backup is done. It's predictable, and we can just plan accordingly.

#896174 Development Roadmap (Updated 8th September 2014)

If new players are the key then PvP should happen before any other additions.. Get rid of XP loss and watch PvP flourish..

#896194 Leveling... long time...

Posted by johnagod on 25 October 2014 - 11:12

I actually like levelling and it's probably my main source of income in the game. However I do agree with the people saying it simply takes TOO long to get to EoC. I know that EoC obviously isn't meant for everyone to achieve but for people who have been playing for 5-6 years (like myself) and are still at or around HALF WAY to EoC, it's a bit of a joke.

I know, I HAVE spent a lot of time either titan hunting, pvping, SE hunting, farming and obviously if it wasn't for that then I wouldn't be still at level 989 lol.

But the problem I have is even at less than halfway to EoC, it takes me about 3700 stamina (with all necessary hunting buffs like distil 50, AL 200+, Lib 239, Stalker 175, Overkill 175 etc.) just to level up once. My stamina gain and XP gain are both maxed. So with my current stamina rate (+107 per hour), I earn 2,568 stamina per 24 hours. That's on average 0.7 levels per day (and yes this is with max stamina and xp upgrades?)

If I was to take this value and calculate (on average) how long it would take for me to reach level 2275 (current EoC), it would take (2275-989) / 0.7 = 1837 days OR just over 5 YEARS.

Bearing in mind, this value above doesn't include LE events, seasonal events which have quests, global events, etc. And I haven't taken double XP events into account or any global epic pots but with with the other events, I think they both cancel each other out (for me anyway as I don't spend money on current stamina for XP events). Also this is providing that I hunt as soon as my stamina hits maximum value.

So another 5 years for me to reach level 2275 it seems. And it's not like I can upgrade my character any further to make this a shorter time. The only thing I can think of it buying current stamina (which is not really an option considering how much it costs for it to be effective). 3,700 stamina for one level is awfully large, don't you think? It's a bit disappointing that even with max upgrades, all necessary buffs, I can't even make one level per 24 hours.

#896106 Offerwalls

Posted by BadPenny on 24 October 2014 - 11:48

I've tried to do some of the new offers.  They tended to lead to sites with dead links or other dead ends.  And, the ones that do work aren't crediting ;(

#896105 Development Roadmap (Updated 8th September 2014)

Posted by Hoofmaster on 24 October 2014 - 11:41

Apologies for the delay on the roadmap side of things. Behind the scenes, we're working on integrating the game with a large game portal (we'll let you know who soon) so we can gain more exposure (and hence players) for the game. I'll update you on that as soon as we can, but we'll get back on the roadmap as soon as possible! :)

#895888 (very small) Composing request..

Posted by bloody18 on 23 October 2014 - 03:42

Would it be possible that when a composing skill is "maxed" out that you BOLD OR COLOR the skill points so we know it is MAXED. Like I said very small and maybe petty request to some ..but it would be easier on the eyes for me and maybe others to track progress on the skill points  .. OR better yet ,  EX: ADEPT LEARNER 190/200  or for instance conserve maxed out 250/250

3  examples =)
