That prestige I take great pains to obtain, and, yes, even make sacrifices and put myself at risk for, is extremely important to me.  The way it is set up now works well.... As I say, it should remain as it is, a means to a leveling buff, if nothing else to remain a bridge between the two EQUALLY IMPORTANT parts of the game.

 well, there should be some place where to regain PvP levels if you are below lvl 5 and can't hit anyone for gold or accept bounties. It should take more time and resources, so PvP ladder fits that purpose. 

 

They can change Prestige to an additional PvP XP boost. 

 

Suggest about successful defense. 

Shouldn't be a level restriction for bounty hunting, and for gold theft, it shouldn't be prohibited, just limited in the percentage range of the amount of gold taken (by level, excluding MT)

 

Prestige should remain as it is, it's not broken... 

 

Successful defends, IMO, should of course get Prowess,  and a bit of gold to boot.  My thought is that Prestige should also be rewarded.

i'd rather see people kicked off the listings if they lack the stam to do the buffing first because that can be a real pain ...

Instead of having resets how about you gain tokens as you level up, 2 per level gained.

if you are de-leveled you have to gain your levels back before you get more points (like vl now) should give more value to pvp xp as well.

Actually, I like Reddie's idea of a LUP system geared specifically to PvP better.  It gives value to PvP XP (I hope they call it Prowess)... I'm hoping that this will encourage new blood to try PvP, and see how enjoyable it really is....

lost 5957 gold of which Rebornjedi stole 4468 gold.. This is with Thievery 120% and reckoning kicked in my gloat.. The player had 219k gold.. Still worried about all your gold being stolen? Should I lose levels because of this simple 10 stamina attack?

Bank deposits
Marketplace
Gold upgrades
Potion bazaar
Auction house
Guild mates/allies
Scavenging (I kid!)
Protect gold enhancement
Deflect reduces incoming attacks
Properly equiping yourself with equipment/buffs when having delicious amounts of gold in hand
Composing
Buff market (buy some deflect)

Other aspects that the cows could introduce to spend gold on

Any gold lost is gold sunk.. No matter how many ways you cut it..

I attack you, gold % is lost.. Gold sunk

You fear being attacked and post in marketplace, you pay to post.. Gold upgrades purchased due to fead of stolen gold.. Gold suck

Repair gear that is damaged in attack on both sides.. Erosion, Breaker, Disarm, Undermine, and Retailate add to that.. Gold sunk..

Potions bought in bazaar or special section to PvP.. Gold sunk..

Bounty tickets bought.. Gold sunk..

PvP has a HUGE impact on fallen sword's economy and could be bigger if XP loss was removed fully.. Between buffs, potions, equipment, upgrades, and other aspects fueled by PvP activity you'd think they would of thought about this sooner..think about how often players level.. Now think about how often you can PvP ;-)

I think before steam, farming should be given a big overhaul to make it more appealing and less grindy and clicky.

 

You have a lot of steps to get crops etc up and running and can get very draining and boring. How about showing farming some love and giving it an overhaul. cheers. Just too many things going on in it, from bottles to minding the crops to the animations and how slow they are. A lot of this can be streamlined.

Most but not all posts on this subject have 10 stam attacks not allowing gold theft only 100 stam attacks can take gold. 10 attacks no bounty 100 attacks can have a bounty if there is no return attack at 10. If both attacks are 100 both attacks can have a bounty placed.

 

As a leveler I like my gold but I like my xp much more. Taking my gold is one thing but taking my xp is something very different. To lose xp each player must make the choice to use a 100 attack which will allow for a bounty.

 

Something to keep in mind we may have lost most of the people that wanted to lose levels but the EOC players have very little to do unless they have the ability to lose levels then gain them back. No xp loss means that opportunity is lost to them.

Sugar, I don't believe that an incoming attack off the board should take any XP, tbh, I only believe that bounty attacks should take it.  When I leveled today, I made an average of 150K per beastie.  When I lose XP on the BB, it's about the same for each attack, for a 10 stam kill.... That seems fair to me.   Losing levels for bleeding your gold while you're offline?  Not a problem, I probably deserve that... I don't consider this to be bullying.  

 

Regardless of what you and I think about it, though, XP loss from PvP will be going forever, both on and off the board.... We really need to really be thinking of ways to make the new PvP XP (Prowess) become valuable.  Let's focus on that, shall we?

Oh Yea.. To encourage returned 100 stamina attacks.. A revenge attack that takes double/triple/quadtruble PvP XP, prowess, prestige should be an option instead of posting a bounty..

Also gold stolen could be put in a temporary spot for a certain time limit so the victim can steal it back if they choose to.

Maybe all the gold stolen from the thief's robberies is kept in the same spot so you have a chance to steal back even more gold.. His 'hidden' stash could be available for bounty hunters to grab as well.. Lots of ideas could come from this..

Off the board 10 stamina attack earns pvp xp, prowess, prestige, And gold

Off the board 100 stamina attack earns more pvp XP, prowess, prestige, and gold.. Smasher medal is fully returned to ALL PvP attacks.. At risk for a bounty on your head

Bounty takes PvP XP, prowess, prestige.. With the chance of taking gold, armor durability, and buffs..

Bounty attacks earn PvP Xp and prestige when won.. If you lose, your PvP XP, prowess, prestige it is sacrificed to Gurgriss - it just disappears to not encourage losing on purpose to transfer PvP XP/prowess/prestige..the bounty hunter who completes the bounty earns prowess (down below explains prowess and the bb)

PvP XP is gained off the board in 2%/20% increments by 10/100 stamina attacks.. 50 10 stamina or 5 100 stamina attacks gain one level.. PvP XP is lost/gained at half the amount from bounty attacks, so 100 10 stamina attacks (10 completed bountys) or 10 100 stamina attacks (1 smashed bounty)

PvP XP levels could give us in game benefits like gold theft, prowess/prestige gain, enhancement bonuses, etc.. or could just be a medal/top rated list rewarded system.. PvP XP could be reset (total amount is always recorded but should give no benefit unless it can be reduced) every month and on the last day it resets at a random time during the day.. Resets reward top players with medal ticks, prestige, prowess, gold, etc

Prowess is basically PvP tokens.. Off the board 10 stamina attacks gains 1 prowess while 100 gains 10.. With a bounty taking prowess this could be the 'punishment players are looking for.. When a player posts a bounty they can spend their own prowess to have the bounty lose more prowess. Prowess amounts could be shown on player's profiles so those posting a bounty could judge how much they want to spend OR it could be hidden so its a risk of putting up more prowess loss on the bounty!

Prowess can't be taken through off the board attacks, only through bounty completions..

PvP ladder NEEDS to stay! I want to be able to duke it out with players in my level band instead of just those 10 levels around me.. It teaches equipment strategy and puts pvpers against each other..

The ladder could be a battle for the most prowess or prestige or whatever by the end of the 24-48 hour reset.. Rewards could be prowess, PvP XP, or prestige or all thepree or a mix of two or etc.. As it is now, attacks on the ladder can't be bounties.. Also you have to actually attack to gain the rewards unlike how it is now :roll:

Prowess could be used to buy inventing components for equipment and potions.. Equipment is unbound and potions are bound.. Also prowess could be used to buy prestige..

Prestige needs to be revamped to be used in increments.. Also instead of just a max of 10% of XP gain.. A max of 10% of stat/enhancement should be available too.. Naturally only one stat/enhancement could be boosted at one time.. This could be used to boost damage for hunting or thievery for gold theft, etc..

That was a fun thought vomit that had a good domino vomit effect.. Thoughts? Holes? Exploits? Additions? Evolution?
