I wouldn't call me gracious here. As a teacher by trade (well by half my trade) I've learnt that something that seems obvious to one person become completely obscure if you start with different assumptions.

 

Personally, I would say the +5, +10... on the hellforge page is ambiguous. What is the + doing there? To what are you adding it? And in answer to the second question, I have a lot of sympathy for people who think it means you add it to the previous addition. Hence, when someone is already thinking +5, +10, +15 means +5 +10 +15 it becomes very easy to overlook the significance being placed on a few commas.

It has always been that the first three give the same, and that the 4th and 5th give considerably more effect.

 

The numbers given on the hellforge page are the total effect of upgrading to that level. So it is saying that two hell forges gives +10 minimum and not that the second hell forge gives +10 minimum

 

Also, the numbers are total stat points, to be divided amongst the stats. So your 1st hell forge gave you +8 (2 x +4), and your second gave another +8, making a total of +16 for two forges. You would get another +8 for the 3rd, presumably about +16 and then +40 for the 4th and 5th (giving a total of 80 = 2 x 40 for the full forging)

Hi,

 

 

I wonder if its expected a change in auto-fragment to allow us to still get quest items and resources?

 

I tried and also asked others and if we set auto for common, rare and uniques to be fragmented we can't get quest items and resources and have to go and set the auto to off to get those drops.

In this latest update, we've implemented four improvements from the Development Roadmap!
 
Improve Auto-Fragmenting
 
We've added granular controls for determining if you would like to keep, fragment or discard items gained from creatures based on their rarity. Note that as this replaces the previous settings, we've make it the default to keep all items based on their rarity until you update it to your preference. You can see this new preference by clicking here.
 
Improve Quest Book
 
We've divided the quest book into normal and seasonal quests. Two links have been added to the top of the page so you can switch the view.
 
Increase Avatar Image Max Size and Character Bio Max Limit
 
We've increases the upload limit for player avatars and the maximum upgradable limit for Bio characters by 50%.
 
Add Direct Link From Forum To Player Profile
 
We've added a new link to 'View Profile' under your character name on the forums.
 
Next we're working on improving guild chat and we're also going to be working on making new players exempt from Guild Conflicts as we feel this should be a higher priority than it currently is on the list.

Imagine the RP machine the typical FS exploiters could make out of that one :P  Anytime I think on a fresh idea the first thing I do is imagine how people will try to exploit it. 

ok then reduce the amount so guilds fighting back pay the current amount and attacking guilds that don't fight back paying only a fraction (half to a third) :)

Just trying to really reward the truly great gvg guilds. The end of quarter tournament would be good unfortunately not feasible since the top 16 guilds may not have targets in each other's range hence killing my idea... but man it would be so epic...

Really? Whole guilds would pack up because of GvG? That is concerning if true. I'm hoping that is more talk than action, but you never know I suppose. I don't regard the hassle from GvG attacks as much of a problem. If it was depressing people I'd reimburse their gold for repair costs, but no-one in my guild has ever really complained about it. It happens, we sail along anyway. 

 

For low level guilds with low level members the gold cost can be problematic when living on gold gained from hunting and trying to be able to buy pots and maximise levelling - I know that. Killing off new players is an issue in this game, and being crippled by broken equipment at level 55 is much different to getting dinged at level 400, when generally you make more than enough gold to get by. Hmm. Interesting.

The new Dragons LEs bring up a new fresh of air in the Arena, I saw some people using them and winning, even low lvl players.

But we need:
- Arena Tokens.
- New Items/Resources/Gear/Potions/Frag Stashs/everything.
- Maybe even a new Combat Move, to make things interesting.
- 1st round random (usually a lot of guildies need to wait for someone else to join, to not face your guildmate on 1st round)
- Maybe even Loyalty Points as Arena Prizes (Why not?)


Anyway, 2+ years since none upgrade on this area, hope we can get new things for Arena and Ladder too.

There only 8 +/- items which worth 5+ FSPs...That's the reason why Arena is so slow.

Gold tournies don't have decay, and some of them take more than a week to fill. How long will a tournie that has a price that does not even sell for 1 FSP and cost 200K gold take to fill without decay?

I disagree on Guild Advisor being used. I understand the "outrage" but could really care less. Hoof's explanation was logical.

 

I had over 51k skills cast before these medals were implemented. Guess what? I haven't done mass buffing to get the medal. I'll get it in time...

 

It puts everyone on the same level. I don't care.

 

Don't get me wrong. I love my medals. I work hard for all of them. Some of them I will probably never get. Some of them I doubt at this point it is even possible for me to get, lol.

 

As many have said all throughout this thread... some of these are "easy" to get. My response is simply: "And?"

 

As far as I'm concerned, all FS Players are free to do with their stam what they see fit. These are not so different than the Smasher medal.

 

A large majority of FS as usual has this completely "me, me" attitude which has always been quite annoying to me.

 

I will get my Guild Booster medal the exact same way I got my 51k+ skills cast in our Guild Advisor before this medal came out. Why should I care if a lot of people happily wasted stam to get theirs? Why should I attempt to force other FS Players to be the same as me? I won't... in fact, I refuse to.

 

That said, I'll repeat the constructive part. Personally, I'd like to see these medals highlighted via the Guild Log. Since I realize that some people might not like that GL addition, perhaps it could be made a Guild Preference to have it included or not.

 

In any case... thanks again to HCS for the hard work. I can say that, from what I've seen... it's had a positive impact on activity no matter what that activity is being applied to, lol.

GUILD ADVISOR

 

While I'm on a roll... it just occurred to me that not using the guild advisor stats and backdating the medals is odd.

 

What sort of guild does not have the advisor? It is one of the first structures anyone buys - is there a guild without it in the game - that is not solo? Those stats are almost universal, and these are guild medals.

 

The medals were not backdated because people who had left guilds would not get credit? I can see the argument that it is fairer... but this morning I'm liking it less. As it is a whole lot of not very fair to a large population in the game that has stuck with their guild.

 

That population who are, you know, good guildies and have stayed the course get no credit. Guild hoppers get the benefit of a clean slate. Which population is more guild orientated, I ask? Awesome.

 

And yes I know people have been with guilds for years, and then left to start their own guilds, or gone on tours etc. etc. These are all personal choices however. I understand why the clean slate - I'm just grumpy and don't like it this morning.

 

Anyone in a guild has guild advisor stats. They are damn near universal in guilds. Yes people who have moved around would not get the benefit of their efforts in previous guilds (that data is lost forever I assume), but this implementation tells folk who were loyal and can look at their stats and see what medals they could/would/should qualify for if the medals were backdated - tough cheese, that guild effort doesn't count.

 

I fell out of bed the wrong side this morning.

The irony of what this particular forum discussion shows, is that there are, apparently, a LOT of less than honorable people and guilds out there. (I was going to add more here, but I think that pretty much says it all.) 

Make a Easy exploit and they will Come... Sort of Sad that it is going like this... But not surprised at all....

They should rename the medal to collaborators medal or change the way ticks are given. It would make more sence to give a tick per 24 hours a relic is held. I mean who attacks a relic knowing they are going to loose? If my stats are too low I just don't attack it.
