its totally controlled right now.. The cows can bring out scavenging events and donation bonuses whenever they want.. If only they did them on the right weekend ;)

Worried about gold in hand for the thieves? Introduce a bonus(xp gain, enhancement increase, etx) for holding so much gold in hand! That's if hcs wants to encourage thieves.. Which is the reason I kept playing this game when I first picked it up. Wonder what game this Jedi would be playing now if it wasn't for all that stolen gold in the beginning

Looking for punishment for thieves? Buffs for spell removal and gear destruction can do a lot to a player who just paid a lot of gold for new buffs to PvP or play another aspect with.. Plus you'll see some real heroes that'll fight against these thieves whenever they see them on the board. How much gold is worth that 100 stamina and watching your back for 48 hours. Also Deflect is quite a bummer when you miss a swing at those shinies. Don't worry. There are lots of ways to hide your gold without shoving into the FSP market!!

The community will be a different place in PvP without XP loss. You'll see heroes and villians figting for justice or skulls.. Non pvpers won't be on their own anymore. Guilds and alliances of leveling guilds will stand up for their robbed.. Maybe some rogues too!

really like this post..and if i read doom's idea correctly..your pvp/xp will determine how much gold can be stolen..giving pvp/xp much needed value (pvp/xp vlaue is critical to this whole new pvp system working)..if it is at 0, very little taken..and should not really have to worry about bounty, as i would think not many would care if a few thousand in gold was stolen out of 100k for example....i am guessing (may be wrong) that pvp/xp will be able to be taken in bb, to keep players from robbing lots of gold all day, should be an excellent challenge to keep one's pvp/xp high, and should allow only the best at pvp and dancing on the bb to keep their pvp/xp high..

only thing i have to say- is WOW, absolute determination to keep xp loss in the game..give pvpers credit..they dont give up easily..are we ever going to stop trying to make this harder and harder on bg and zorg...the new pvp/xp is probably not going to happen for quite some time..be lucky if by june 2015..all this would be doing is pushing that even further back..2 systems..twice as long to get anything done..poor zorg has so much to do already and to make this big change in pvp a double effort would be hurting other aspects of the game that need attention...there is only 1 zorg...and this 2nd system would only apply for a minimal percentage of players in the game...do we have to have all that work and other system for so few players in the game...1 system- everyone involved, no opt out, no pvp protection..less work for poor old zorg and maybe we can enjoy this new pvp system in the somewhat near future...

ok..here goes nothing..reading thru many pages of the possible new pvp/xp system..seems to be a recurring issue.- if xp loss is removed, how that would affect the bounty board in a bad way...no xp loss...no incentive for bountying..and even with new system....still may not cause a great incentive to bounty..

 

so, make it so that the game controls the bounty...- keep in mind my numbers are just examples to get across the idea

 

for example.- after "x" amount of stamina is used doing non-bounty board pvp hits.(500, 1000 or more not sure what would be best, but has to be a random amount)...also can be used for "x" amount of gold stolen (again, a random amount)....it triggers the game to put a bounty on that player...

 

the reward would be calculated by amount of gold that gets sunk during a pvp hit - ex. player xxx get hits..loses 100k in gold of which player xxx stole 40k...60k would get sunk...take 10% of that - 6k and that gets added to that players bounty pool, for when that player does enough pvp hits (stamina from above example),  to trigger the game placing a bounty on them...that would create decent sized rewards for bounty hunters

 

there would be no counter bounty since the game is placing the bounty...

 

hcs could use same bounty system we have to determine how much pvp/xp could get lost during a bounty..and hcs can figure out how many much total pvp/xp couold be taken on the bb

 

this idea should keep the bounty board very busy...as i would expect with the new system, many more players would try pvp...more players ending up on the bb. and more bounty hunters..

 

maybe even a new medal for getting put on the bounty board "x" amount of times...

 

since many pvpers want to get on the bb, this would take it out of other players hands to place bounties....and not punish them twice with gold...just pvp a lot and you can get put on the bb...

 

feel free to rip my idea apart or add to my idea...just trying to find a solution to a possible issue..not even sure how hard or easy this idea would be to code..maybe zorg can tell us..

wow..did this explode...and from what i see in this thread.. is that many players are threatning quitting the game because they will not be able to take xp from players..meaning that is the only reason they are playing fs, it to take xp form someone and hurt their game.....if that is the only reason you are playing fs ...that is pretty sickening..there is so much more to the game..and so much more even to pvping...why is this one thing- xp loss an absolute must..or you cant play the game..mind-bogggling..

If normal XP loss is indeed removed is it possible to add a new PVP Xp system?

 

where normal XP is gained from creatures

 

PVP xp is lost and gained in PVP (I would normally go into more detail at this point, but I will see if this has any traction 1st)

bingo !!!   have a pvp level..and all things pertaining to pvp hits, xp gains or losses goes towards that pvp level...have pvp gear, pvp quests, pvp titans. and so on depending on ones pvp level...still have gold stolen- more than as it is now, ..still have prestige..still have bb..bb xp loses to ones pvp levels...would encourage lots of pvp action..

thanks for all that info, did not realize so many are related to a specific event.....but i think most of those non- specific realm le's were from last year..i have been playing everyday..dont recall seeing any of these this year..those saying released in august and september....that shows that it has been a year or more since they appeared...and those are the ones that used to come out and play a few at a time...again..thanks for all the info..now i have something to go by as far as when some will come out..

hmm..where did all the legendary creatures go ?  did they completly disappear never to come back ? seems like it has been many months, if not over a year since most of the realm legendary creatures have been seen ...i remember, when i first was playing this game 4 years ago, every week or at least every 1-3 weeks, a few,  2-5 legendary creatures would be let loose on the realms for us to hunt..what happened with those hunts ?? ..that is what kept me playing the game early on, the excitement of seeing what would be the next event and what legends would come out to hunt...we would hit the forums asking about which legends should be next to come out and play.. there would be news everyday about something- scavenging hunts, legendary hunts, or some other event,   why did they stop all these events ?? -- i really miss those days...

 

Now it seems like weeks before any of that happens..legendary creatures- many months or over a year...why have these creatures in the game, if they are never to be seen ???? ,  if players think ah will be flooded by the gear, then make the drop rate really small...some newer players have never seen what a legendary hunt is about...again, where did all the legendary creatures go ???

Yeah, FOR ME all player should always be part of the Ladder, if you don't want to participate into PvP Ladder, buy PvP Protection and you'll be off the Ladder until your protection ends, just like much other games where you buy a 'shield' to prevent attacks on you, a LOT of games have that, maybe the PvP Protection prices can change, maybe also the needed hours for Dominance Medal, don't know...

 

option #6..would be good if the pvp protection prices would change..many players, most of whom never venture to the forums or gc, and just come online for 15 minutes to 1 hr to hunt and come back again when stam refills- they play this game because it is free...making or forcing someone to pay real money, when many players including myself cant afford paying real money for a game, just to be able to protect their characters from pvpers is bad business...while some think the protection prices are ok..i would venture to guess, most players think it is expensive....lower the price of protection to a more reasonable price and maybe be able to make more players happy..pvpers can still hit players with the protection..still get prestige..still steal gold (i personally think more gold should be stolen), still get ladder points...but with the protection..no xp loss...(xp loss is the main reason levelers get so upset about pvp)

Maybe if HCS say that they want to post it on News Update they can took these ideas and write an official thread, and wait for the vote from players. 

Also, if someone have any idea other than those 6 options I have think, please comment about it.

agreed..in the forums, we will not get the answer needed..pvpers will say something..then the levelers will say something different and we will be right back to the same bickering that always happens in the forums on this topic...let the whole community have a chance to vote and have their voices heard..and work from there..forums does not cover enough players to have something as important as this decided by less than 1% of the community..

at least someone is trying...only problem i see, is that the forums only represent about 1% of the players in the game..if your idea could only be put forth in front of the entire community to see and vote on...we maybe could get a solution to a tricky problem...all ideas seem to have pros and cons..but we have to start somewhere... kudos for the thoughts and effort

Yes I am certain.  But the update said that they incorporated some of the FS Helper features.  Well, this was a feature that was fantastic, so I'd love for them to bring it back.  I just tried to buff someone and I had no idea which of my buffs they still needed without reading through the entire list of buffs that they had on them.  Everyone seems to love this so I must be missing somethin'. 

here is what you are missing...for those of us that never used fsh..the new updates for buffs is great..quite a bit better than before, that is why you are seeing some saying new update for buffs is good.....for those of you that were already using fsh, the new update is bad because it does not do as much as fsh had done before...simple as that...so, it seems like all they have to do is incorporate the other things that fsh did for buffs, and we all would be happy..

The buff update looks good. I have not used it yet.

 

I think HCS needs to watch the ladder(s) controlled by one crew, I dont think allowing them to attack each other will fix the issue.  They will only attack with permission/agreement and to their advantage.  Would have been better to limit number of crew allowed to join a ladder.

i agree..dont see this pvp update getting more players involved in the ladder...why would anyone join a band that has 3 or more members from same guild that can manipulate all outcomes..?? an outsider will never win any tokens..maybe i am wrong ..we will see..

oh yea...eoc, suuuuuure !!  WHAT PLANET ARE YOU FROM....i am level 432 WITH 3600 STAMINA.....those pots will help leveling a wee bit...but getting to eoc...comon quit worrying about that..i gain 1.3 levels every 2 days,..those chests will make it so i can gain near 3 levels every  2 days,, for 10 hunts..so in 20 days i will gain 30 levels....whooopeeee..oh that is really put me at eoc...oh no lower level players gaining rapidly...faster...yea now i might get to eoc next lifetime instead of 3 lifetimes from now..all of you high levels players need to quit worrying about level 500 and below players catching up to eoc anytime soon...you need to worry about how to keep all your level 500 and below players...quit bashing them..zero respect
