Ok, then instead of the creatures dropping frag stashes have them just drop common items we can give away to whom ever we please. Much simplier.

Yes, it was never my intent to get rid of the Frag Globals - I love those and feel they are important to the game. Glad to see BigGrim is on the same page as me there. ![]()
Also, as rowbeth pointed out, this type of global would not give Composers near as many fragments. However, as yotwehc pointed out, if you are after fragments, Global Booster is your enemy. Plus, if you drink a "Potion of Supreme Luck" (FI 1000) you can double that drop rate to 15% which can get you your 6k fragments in about 14,000 kills (using rowbeth's math - my math gives me 13,333 but lets not split hairs). Personally, I would love to see an increased drop rate on these as it would greatly benefit me (and many others) but even with the current drop rate, this option would be far better than Globals who's creatures give you no drops at all...

Exactly what I meant but I like your addition of having different creatures giving different drops. However, I doubt they want to have creatures drop Legendary or SE Stashes like the Common ones unless there is a low spawn rate and horrible drop % for them. Most players I have talked to who compose are primarily interested in Common fragments while there are some really after the Rare. If it is limited to Common & Rare (perhaps Unique as well) then it might work out well for everyone.
I also like the idea of the special potions to see certain Global creatures. I always enjoyed the Halloween ones...
Maybe there can be a special Helmet (visor) that lets you see certain creatures like how the Pinata Bat lets you hit the Pinata Global...

Not to be rude or negative but what was the point of this update? Delaying someone on choosing their name while they decide if they want to stay or not? The only reason why new players don't stay in the game is because there is no fasable way to make fsp to upgrade your character (unless you buy fsp) and that is the real problem. Who is going to spend money on a game they just started knowing that they might not stick around? Plus as I have pointed out in many other threads (which admins refuse to even look at or acknowledge) the "bang of your buck" on this game isn't worth it anymore. All other MMO's allow you to buy game currency for a cheap price, here it's roughly 10-20x more expensive for game currency than any other MMO, which is why I personally only donate once every few years. The other MMO's I play for $60 ($75 after I have to convert my Canadian currency to what ever it's converted to) I can get 100,000x the rewards and more items/stuff/gear/upgrades and most importantly, game currency. Heck in every other MMO I've played you get rewards just for logging in. Here you get nothing.
If you're aiming to keep players, change what you give to players who donate. Heck, even make it easier for the newer players to get fsp so they stick around. It's not that hard and you won't lose anything. Infact, you might actually KEEP new players.
Also remember, when running a business (I don't know if a single person at HCS is educated in business or anything business related) you have to spend money to make money.
Add more fsp rewards (and I'm not talking about those garbage shard offers). Make in game activities that give fsp rewards, or upgrade rewards (allowing someone to upgrade max stamina 5 or 6 times, giving someone 3-4 bp slots) and that type of enticement might actually KEEP players from leaving, and might actually entice players to spend some money on you guys.
The way to do things is pretty easy, but you admins make it seem so impossible and I fail to understand why (and I know a LOT of other players who don't understand why either).

Experience gain for creature kills for players under level 100 increased. <-- Why? you can get to level 100 in 2 days currently if you plan it right by doing the epic quests, I m unsure this will help keep players in the game after they start, more likely they will just get even more frustrated when they get to level 100 and find the game gets exponentially harder...
i agree with dav on this, if you were to do this it should be all the way to 500, not like most buffs you gain (lvl 175 buffs at xp lvl 500) have great worth anyway so why not help em to a bit more decent level, 500 is much closer to eoc, a better level to titan hunt, arena and bounty hunt etc to try out the game more if they got there sooner and gives more incentive to think well maybe i CAN get there(eoc) and is plenty of time to become aware that leveling will REALLY slow up without bumping max stam and using global pots or donating pots ![]()
nothing should really be given too easily but 500 levels aint much with the struggle itll take a really casual player to get to lvl 2400+ which is what most rpg'ers do ... level ![]()

Yeah, but that is how economic works on real world too, so I have no problem with that, and I really don't think that's bad for the game.
This event I concentrate all my Titan Kills to hunt the Nutcracker, secured him 2 times, 1 Granny and 1 Rhizome, wish I could hunt the Mirka too, but why I killed Nutcracker more times than any other? Because that's the best ring on the game and pays better, no secret on that.

The market price for frags is not the only reason this is a bad idea and not even the most important. The reason frags are bound are so players wouldn't create multiple accounts to farm and/or collect GE frag stashes and then send them to the main account. This would effectively give multiple rewards to the cheaters. Broken down frags and frag stash rewards need to remain bound. The cheaters and scammers affect everyone's game play, even if indirectly.

Have all the ideas from the previous Dev Update all fallen away (ie the one at the beginning of December, about the stam gain and various improvements)?
All great updates expect for: "Experience gain for creature kills for players under level 100 increased." Nothing should be changed or even better, the gold dropped should increase for these levels.

Some players stam banks won't even be filled when valentines day rolls around
. If anything for valentines day we could see maybe a quest line with a potion reward or something to that degree.

The Santork beasties will be the same but new recipes will be released for you to create two new sets. New recipes, new cracker, new Baubles.
grim, can you please make a recipe to be able to "convert" the earthen santork set to the new sets?
the earthen santork set uses EXACTLY the same amount of items to invent as the new sets
to invent earthen santork you need 2 fiery + 2 icy
NEW:
to invent pestilent santork you need 2 fiery + 2 icy
to invent shroud touched santork you need 2 fiery + 2 icy
all 3 sets use the same exact number of items to invent, only difference are the new Baubles which can be easily solved
make this "convert-recipes":
earthen santork + new Baubles = pestilent santork
earthen santork + new Baubles = shroud touched santork

There's no plans for new potions I'm afraid. With the Christmas Gift and all the eggs created recently, I'd have thought we have enough new potions for the time being.
