Makes sense, but there are more important developments in the game than this which wasn't really a priority update.

 

As HCS has confirmed this is going to benefit new players with low stam banks, although the benefit with a low stam gain will be so small its not going to make much difference.

 

At least the stam gain includes the epics bonuses worn at the point of hourly stam ticks still.

Wait , I just realized something.

 

People are arguing that Titan hunting should be a level playing field?

 

How can you make a level playing field with some people having super-fast internet, £100000 computers, compared to rural connections and super slow computers.

 

Your just finding something to blame bar your talent for titan-hunting.

 

I wonder how many in FS have computers worth £100000? Have super-duper fast connections? I wonder how many say they have these and are actually using "script"?

 

Oh, haven't you realised yet, it's a "blame game" :P

Epics are so overrated. You make yourself a PvP and GvG target. So what if you miss killing one or two more mobs at level 1000+? Max out stam gain.

 

EPICs make playing the game more enjoyable, more stam = more playing in whatever aspect you want

 

An offline player is dead anyway in PVP/GVG

Not sure why this is being changed. It works well the way it is, so you can stop what your doing, equip EPICs, get the stam gain, then crack on with what your doing. I prefer the existing method.

I still believe a two tiered system with two taverns is the answer. One tavern for the high end mercs, which costs more for each search and a second tavern that has the lower end mercs in it which costs less for each search. Kind of like the scavenging caves, maybe make it two structures or an upgrade to the original structure?

 

Not so much two tiers as the high end is always shifting but your idea definitely has merit. How about tiers of 500 levels? Obviously we'll have to upgrade some existing Mercs and create loooooooooooooads more but I figure that is easy enough.

 

Maybe some of the many, many low level mercs could go on a training regimen, even the spread a bit. The four mercs in the 501-900 range could use the company, I think.

 

That's certainly an option, sure!

 

Final idea would be for a select number of mercs to be thought up by players as a reward on a global event or something...?

Yes, big guy, that's a great start.  We need lots more like this Erik Something I found last night.   Level 800 and super stats  :)

 

Erik of the Frozen Wastes? He's a level 800 Elite class Merc. Are Elite ones still worth using? Should I just Upgrade the Champion level ones? Move some of the vast number at lower levels up into the higher ones?

 

As it stands, Champion class are worthless. Are the Elite ones still good? Super Elite class are all staff.

 

Champions could be upgraded to Elite level and the larger number on low levels spread out a bit along with new Mercs to help.

 

Tavern could be tiered in 500 level increments? That would stop High and Low levels shifting as the game continues to grow.

 

Opinions?

I'm generally happy with the composing changes, a few less button clicks are welcome. I know how difficult UI design is. Given that most people will have at most 10 templates I'm wondering about having up to 10 buttons but it would be very busy.

Discard and Discard All are useful options. I often wondered why potions didn't go to mailbox. A discard option in the mailbox would probably be useful too.

I like the midnight resets. It makes it more flexible. I don't have to worry about doing my instant finishes as early as possible. I realise there are a few people who were able to time their bank depo's to their hunts. Dunno how they do that, there can't be that many. Bank depo's are expensive but maybe it's worth increasing the maximum number of depo's?

*sighs* - OK, I'm done with the caves - the drop rates are just WAY too low now and the rubbish critters are appearing way too often.

 

10 million gold (so, 50 fsp) dropped and ...

2 (yes, just TWO) Flasks, 4 x EW1500s, 4 x UB's <- DESIRED

16 x Dblr 750, 4 x Imp, 6 x Forest Cave, 3 x Faceted Cave, 13 x FI800, 3 x EA, 17 x Composing Items <- NOT REALLY DESIRED

5 x SES, 35 x Assorted Useless Stuff <- TOTALLY UNWANTED

 

So, 112 drops in total (ergo each drop cost 89,285 gold) of which a whole 10 were desired

Something needs to change :(
